Just got back from NYCC. Had a lot of fun, picked up some nice exclusives. Did anyone else make it? Jeff and Ed are fairly close, did either of you go?

Hey follks! I looked and didn't find a guide for the best way to get your Brickfolio set up and there are nuances that appear to be buried in threads, so I figured I would make a guide. Step 1 is to get registered on BrickSet.com and record your collection there. I've just made a youtube video for this part, which you can see when it's uploaded (youtube is being slow). Everything is pretty intuitive, except for how to record the number of copies of each set (make sure you do Table view when browsing sets). Step 2 is to go to your BrickFolio here (http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/brickfolio.cfm) and choose that you want to import sets from BrickSet. You …

This is a nice little tid-bit for everyone to keep in mind. Ever think of patching up your walls with Legos? Here's someone who actually did it! http://dornob.com/patchwork-orange-art-of-fixing-buildings-with-lego-blocks/ Looks great IMO, plus a good idea! Way to "Lego up your world"!

What is everyone's favorite team? Who do you like and dislike? I'm a die hard Patriots fan. So I'm not big on the Jets. We had a rough offseason though...

Has anyone ever watched any of these? They appear to be made by a French married couple, and the choice of music and humor is always enjoyable. They have such a passion for building...smelling each bag after they open them lol.

I surf the interwebs and from time to time come across sites that have nothing to do with LEGO writing articles. Some are good articles but the majority of them make me laugh. I don't really have a problem with sites writing LEGO related articles but a little homework on the subject would be nice. I'm not gonna call out sites that do this, I'm sure most of y'all have come across some of these articles I'm talking about. The USA TODAY article was an example of a good article, Matt did a wonderful job researching the topic before writing the article, which was a feat in itself considering if was during the height of election year.

Well, pretty quiet around here today. I finished updating the portfolio and the piece count crossed the 7 figure mark. Now just need to get the value to the same place, haha. Sets to do it 1089 i think. Doesn't really matter and is noteall important but what the heck. Carry on.

Check this out: http://geekologie.com/2013/05/insane-insane-insane-lord-of-the-rings-b.php LOL at the minifigs. That's like $10k of minifigs alone, isn't it? I love MOC's like this.

As a lifelong NY Yankees fan, I am a huge Derek Jeter fan. I found this video of his Top 10 career plays done with toy minifigures(Sorry...not LEGO, but close enough). Hope you enjoy it.

Bought this Lego set at toys r us canada online a few years back , but when I received my order by mail back then , one of the lids of the set is oddly packaged. (please refer to picture) The seals do not look like they have been opened at all. I weighed the set on a postal scale and it weighed 1.222 grams. When I checked bricklink it says this set weighs 1.170 grams in weight. I would like to sell this set , but not sure if there would be something wrong inside it?? I really do not want to open the box , because it would make this set worth less money.... But on the other hand would like to make sure there is nothing wrong…

Hi, everyone. I'm new to this board, appreciate all the knowledge present here. In addition to collecting sets, I used to buy bins of Lego from Craigslist until the wife had enough of that. Anyway, one of the things my son and I like about the bins is treasure hunting and seeing what cool stuff we can find. But, sometimes we find some unusual things in the Lego bin. Here's some interesting things we've found - Old Pok

Folks.....I made a boo boo I think. When I bought my I phone a year ago...I remember someone telling me all pics and videos were saved "on the cloud" even after my phone went over the thousand it could hold---they were sent to a picture roll. Fast forward a year...and I went to look for last years Christmas pictures--and poof! <been using that a lot since someone posted the South Park video. Gone. Is it true that once you past 30 days or 1k pictures, they are deleted--gone forever? It sounded too good to be true---that all pics ever take were stored for you in your film roll cloud what have you...but I never looked into it. Well this sucks. Am I missing s…

I don't know who this seller is but these are pretty cool. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181129917632 Reminds me of the good old days when we used to have to walk to the arcade, in the snow, up hill, both ways, without shoes. Not like you young whipper snappers that just have to turn on the WII or PS3 or Xbox in the comfort of your air conditioned homes.

So I was digging through some of my old crap cleaning up today and ran across an old pre-order bonus I had received for the videogame Lost Planet 2 from 2010...its a "GTF-11 Drio Vital Suit" from the videogame, in the form of a 124 piece Lego set. Interesting thing about it is that I had forgotten it was made of genuine Lego pieces when I opened it a couple years ago, I had forgotten and assumed it was cheap knock-off bricks, because the box and instructions don't say Lego at all anywhere on them, instead the word "NEVEC" appears within the red box (NEVEC was the fictional company in the game that created the mech suits). So what's the deal with this thing? No…

I am starting to get a lot of discount promotions. This is not Lego related, but maybe someone wants to buy a new Lego game, or new supplies for the PS4 or XBOX One. This is a one day special today November 21st. If you buy online and do local pickup, you will get $10 off any order of $50 or more. Xmas time is here too, so its a way to save a few bucks that will be spending most likely anyhow. Click here!
