My family is going to legoland in a couple of weeks. Are there any tips and suggestions for those that have gone in the past? I have two little ones - 2 (just started building) and 5 (avid builder - he built the sea cow). Thanks!

LEGOLAND evacuated LEGOLAND California was evacuated today, because of the fires in San Diego. The park was threatened by the fires in Carlsbad, and power was shut down to the park. My biggest question - I wonder if they're going to have a fire sale? (I was one of many people evacuated in San Diego today).

Easily the most influential part of my childhood was this book. It was a fun adventure of a couple told through the universal language of still frames sometimes having a few semi "how to" builds strewn about and two sticker sheets added for good measure. There was a little theme mixing but nothing really. I mean nowhere near The LEGO Movie levels. Haha. Well anyway turns out Jangbricks had a recent nostalgia trip for a video so anyone wanting to relieve some memories or just curious to see page by page what it was then watch this.

Just took my family for the first time to Legoland in Carlsbad and its is incredibley awesome! It was the first time for all of us. My son is only 8 months old, but never the less I think he enjoyed his time there. It was the least amount of stress I have experienced at any type of amusement park. The most stressful part came when we made our personal minifigures. I came away from the whole experience knowing that there is nothing you can't make out of lego.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legoland_Malaysia I'd just like to share a few pics of my recent visit to this particular park. Best part, or rather, the only part that was interesting to me was their miniland display.

I did a search across the forums but didn't find a topic on this. My family is going to SD Legoland for the first time. We are staying at the hotel for one night. Of course every polybag I see has a free child ticket coupon on it. What is the best strategy for buying tickets? Anyone go recently and have any tips? Right now I am just planning on my wife and I each buying a ticket for one kid each using a coupon. Any thoughts appreciated.

Geez, why can't we all get along. It's Legoland...no place for religious, race (except with cars), political issues etc.etc. http://www.thestar.com/news/world/2014/03/06/legoland_uk_closes_hotel_after_farright_threats_against_private_muslim_family_event.html

Who all has ever found Legos at the thrift store? Yesterday I just found the 8730 in the box with all the pieces, except for two of the ball things, it had the instructions and was in pretty good condition for 5 bucks! Anybody?

  20. Has Lego come out with anything other than the train/technic/mindstorm series that have had any type of electronic moving parts? Im sort of looking for sets that are remote controlled but are proportionate to the standard Lego size sets. Technic sets look huge and the remote control trains I already know about.

I believe I remember somebody saying how neat it would be if Lego mixed Friends together with Monster Fighters. Well unfortunately this is not Lego but could very well be the next best thing or more like a second best I guess. All I can say is I'm afraid to see how many epileptic seizures these things induce from all those lights. Toys R Us seems to be a seller of these at the moment if you're curious. This was lumped in there so whatever.

Taking the family for a weekend in London on the 10th May and me and my son are swinging by the Lego show at the O2 Arena when the girls go shopping. Shame a ticket only gets you a 3hr slot for the show but me and the boy are going to make the most of it. Anyone else going??? Cheers.

  24. The discussion in the Walmart Clearance thread about 60139 got me thinking - What are some of the longest set production runs for Non-Exclusives/Architecture etc? Also going to exclude Duplo and the standard LEGO blocks (classic) here. 3 years is long, but not long enough to make this list I imagine. I'm looking for stuff out at least 3.5+. I remember Batcave 6860 being out about 3 years... 3 that hit me pretty quickly from the last 5 years or so - 60139 - City: Police Mobile Police Center. Released Jan 2017, Still in production now. 4.5 years. 31058 - Creator: Mighty Dinosaurs. Released Nov 2016, still in Production now. (Coming up on 5 years) Ha…
