YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! ......Ahem, 'scuse me. Um, there will be a sequel to 300 that looks like it will be a prequel. Here is the trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zqy21Z29ps Oh, and here is the trailer for Pacific Rim in case you haven't seen it. Just popped in there and think it looks pretty cool although the whole thing feels rather familiar but I can't quite place it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A85EtOalcsM

I think the mug may have been posted here elsewhere before but fairly certain the other two have not. Anywho, the megaphone and parrot have special features.

Interesting Video posted on CNN today 'A 3-D printer created this shoe'. I'm impressed with the 16 different printing colors and the fact it can print in two different plastics - ABS and compostable PLA. Legos are made of ABS, although I doubt the exact formula is known (often extra ingredients are added to change the plastic properties). 3D Printing in Vibrant Colors and ABS plastic Interesting that today is 3/18 and the video says it was added on 3/31! You too can see the future, lol Color Cartridge info The cartridges start at $49 and the printer is $1,299. I still think it will be decades until it could compete with Lego's price per piece (if ever!…

A guy I work with has a 3D printer and was nice enough to print some swords and shields for me that I picked out on Thingiverse. Pretty neat stuff. I created some water slide decals with various artwork for the shield emblems and put a few coats of paint and protectant on them ... Here are my Dragon Dogs (heh) ... I made some with the sigils from Game of Thrones ... I don't think 3D printing is any threat to Lego. The strength and detail just don't match up to injection molds, but it is handy for prototyping or just playing around.

Guys, if anyone has this set, could you tell me please if those gray parts suppose to come off the hull or if they are glued in somehow? I'm trying to clean it up and looks like something rusted there (the water goes in and out under those parts). So any chance to take them out without breaking? The heavy red brick - any tricks about that one or just leave it alone? Same problem there - a spot of rust.

I am going to donate/send a med size box of Lego and a birthday card (not sure of the set yet) to this boy. What do you think Star Wars or Castle series or both? I just found this on my local KSDK news site and it links bck to the original article. http://www.kvue.com/story/news/nation/2014/07/19/boy-battling-cancer-only-wants-a-box-of-birthday-cards-for-his-birthday/12887255/ Danny's birthday is July 25. All cards can be mailed the Nickerson's home addressed: Remember he is only 6. Danny Nickerson, P.O. Box 212, Foxboro, MA, 02035. I am not sure how adept/able he may be to play or build them. But if nothing else...please feel free t…

(Please don't bring up politics because I don't want to start an argument among members here. Thank you.) The 6-year-old got detention for bringing a Lego gun on the bus. The bus driver claimed it caused a panic on the bus among the students after a kid told the bus driver about it. The principal later watched the surveillance tape and there wasn't a commotion at all. The kid's detention was later canceled. I think the school administrators overreacted about this considering it wasn't a real gun or an airsoft gun that could be mistaken for a real gun. It gets to a point where it's over-the-top IMO. What do you guys/gals think? Did his punishment fit his crime/act…

So in order to get purchases to $50 to use Wendy's GCs at TRU, I grabbed a few Series 11 minifigures... And in the spirit of the holiday, 3 out of the 4 contained: Yeti Gingerbread Man Santa's Elf Boom.

A LEGO Brickumentary (2015) Movie Info Since the birth of their trademark toy in 1958, The LEGO Group has produced over 400 billion bricks. But more and more, LEGO bricks aren't just for kids, and some take them very seriously. Adult Fans of LEGO around the globe are unashamedly declaring their love of the brick, brick artists are creating stunning and surprising creations, and LEGO master builders are building human scale and larger structures. LEGO bricks are being used educationally, therapeutically, and have provided a universal system for human creativity and our innate desire "to build." This documentary playfully delves into the extraordinary impact of the LEGO br…

http://thebrickblogger.com/2013/03/remembering-lego-fan-mitchell-jones/ Here's a story about a young boy and his fondness for LEGOs (or LEGO bricks for you brits). Saw it on Bricklink and thought I'd share it here. I'm a brand new father of three weeks, and I will definitely have fun introducing my son to these wonderful toys. Regards, Cody

Hi everyone, I am writing some top secret material for BrickPicker, and need to know a little information. What Lego Star Wars sets have been remade? Since this is a fairly serious thread, I would appreciate it if this one stayed on topic, since its not like we ever get off topic. :-) Thanks everyone! Here is the list so far: Sith Infiltrator Luke's Landspeeder Gungan Sub Clone Turbo Tank UCS X-Wing X Wing Fighter (non-UCS) Millennium Falcon Desert Skiff AAT A-Wing Droid Escape Imperial Shuttle (both UCS and non-UCS) Naboo Starfighter Republic Gunship Geonosian Starfighter AT-AT (both UCS and non-UCS) Jabba

In a recent issue of the longtime running MAD Magazine, there are a couple pages with some panels of satirical humor on our equally long lasting favorite building block brand. They are rather silly in a relatable way. I suggest clicking on each image to enlarge seeing how squeezed these forum reply boxes tend to make them at regular viewing. Source: The Brick Fan

Ok, I need to vent. I've got friends here, and this is a good a place as any. Settle in, I have story to tell. My sister's wedding is this weekend. I decided to buy a nice watch for my future brother-in-law. Found it on Amazon, and ordered it back in August. Received the watch. Watch is left new, unused, in original packaging. Wasn't cheap, $1600. A few weeks go by, I talk with my future brother-in-law, and decide another, different gift would be more appropriate. He's not really a watch guy, and this isn't a cheap watch. I contact Amazon, requesting a return around the first of the month. Amazon informs me sale was from a third party, they have to authorize ret…

When you opened this, I bet you thought it might be interesting. It isn't. I suggest to The Macks that this emoticon: should be retired. E.O.L. It's cute, but the position of the eyes implies a hint of sarcasm when none is intended. I mean, I don't want people thinking I'm rude because this smiley face has an attitude problem. Seriously, I really enjoyed that thing you said. Don't listen to that smiley face guy. If you agree, roll your eyes at me. Word.

I came across one of the most amusing articles ever from the Business Insider of Australia. They basically ran a poll using a certain number of Americans and asked how each felt about the other states. The darkest color had the highest number of votes while the whitest color had next to none. Winner: Massachusetts, 264 of 1603 votes, 16% Winner: New York, 305 of 1603 votes, 19% Winner: Alaska, 85 of 1603 votes, 5% Winner: California, (stats unknown) Winner: Texas, 167 of 1581 votes, 11% Winner: California, 403 of 1581 votes, 25% Winner: California, 713 of 1411 votes, 51% Winner: Alabama, 113 of 1442 votes, 9% Winner: Colorad…

Hello, This was a set I completed from the 'Building Together - Road Trip' promo a while back: Also, my son and I had recently attended the official grand opening of Legoland Discovery Centre at Vaughan Mills mall, located in Vaughan about 20 minutes north of Toronto: Enjoy!

So this is really OT even for the Odds & Ends forum, but I am excited haha. Anyway, my Mom is the type of person who keeps things for a really long time, even if they are terribly out dated. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". I mean, it has been a good thing, as it taught me to think of all large purchases as an investment for the long term. Helps me save money. So, just yesterday, we stepped into the HD revolution and bought a 50" Panasonic plasma TV. I know it's entirely cliche, but the fact that I can finally see wrinkles in people's faces and notice their make-up is blowing my mind. I mean I've seen HD before obviously but mostly at like places of business where I…

I have said before that I get some emails about good specials. I know nothing of this computer, but I know that there are some tech people here on the site. Here is a Chromebook for $169.00 on eBay, direct from Acer. Maybe you need a spare laptop to do things, maybe you always wanted to try something like this. Anyhow, here is the deal. So far they sold over 1,000 in 24 hours. Free shipping too! Acer 11.6" Chromebook 2GB 320GB Chrome OS| C710-2847

So my LEGOLAND has a rule that you have to have a child with you to enter the park. While I see the safety precaution behind this....what about the AFOL who wants to go but has no kids....seems a bit discriminatory. Thoughts??
