Other LEGO Marketplaces

Overall discussion on the buying and selling of LEGO and LEGO parts on the Bricklink, Brickowl and other LEGO Marketplaces

****************************************************************************************************** Update by jaisonline : Since this thread deals with Bricklink Q&As plus general discussions, I'll be merging (and maybe removing) other bricklink related threads into this one. ****************************************************************************************************** Figured there is tons of questions about selling on Bricklink. Does anyone use the 'my cost' slot when adding items for sale, and if so, how do you calculate your cost per piece when parting out a set? Do you just use the piece count divided by price y…

  2. So as well all look to get legos we are tapping all resources ebay shopgoodwill craigslist i recently have had some success with estate sales. I realize they may be priced higher but have been good for some bulk lots and flips. i hate seeing a listing and it's too far from me or can't tell what's in the lots pictured do I figured we could use this to share estate sale stories, post sale you see and more. The below pictures are about 6 hrs from me they are selling bins as a lot other items separately- Below is in texas This is in georgia Below is in Manasas virginia I need family in more places

  3. Not sure if it's been mentioned, but there's a 20 points back on $40 promotion/coupon at Kmart. Could be a good deal with the new Star Wars sets. Additionally, the new sets aren't marked as Hot Buy, so you can stack additional dollar off coupons. I was able to get 2 Carbon-Freezing Sets, 75137, for about 45 with 20 in points back (had a 5 off 35 toys coupon I was also able to use). If you want to apply the coupons manually, just copy the code: Go to the mobile coupons page, copy long number string, paste in apply a code box. I just found out about shopgoodwill.com the other day. They seem to have a boatload of listings for LEGO. I looked through some of the completed auctions and there were a few good deals to be had. There were also lots of ridiculous overpays (especially once shipping was factored in). Does anyone have any experience buying LEGO this way (I'm assuming some of you must)? Any horror stories to tell?

From Slashdot: Did anyone start selling on Facebook Marketplace yet? Any tips or watchouts?

  7. My cosmic cubes say shipped. But the tracking doesn't show anything yet. We will see what comes. Hopefully its breast pumps since I can't ever use a damn coupon on them at TRU.

Jeff and I want to pick the brain of all of you Bricklink store owners. What would consider the piece counts for store sizes. For example...How many pieces does a large Bricklink store carry? A medium store? A small store? An X-Large store? Thanks.

  10. Ed started a thread earlier talking about the size of shops that sell parts on Bricklink or Brick Owl. That is one question, but we will have plenty of others. We feel it would be better if we create a group that we can talk to and go to over time to help shape the future of Brick Classifieds (specifically the parts department). If you are someone that runs a serious business and would like to contribute to this as well as make good platform to sell your parts, please leave a note here (or send me a PM) with links to your store(s). We will create a forum that you can access and will be able to leave feedback to our questions. Thank you

Got the ol Storm Trooper maintenance man message but middle of the day on Tuesday seems really odd. Anyone have any insight? Seems delayed to be a result of the crash last week but you never know.

  12. Couldn't find the answer for this. I was under the impression that the 10% member discount applies online or in store but maybe it is in-store only? I have the 20% coupon which I can use online but it isn't registering an additional 10% discount on the website. Guess you have to go in the store to stack deals?

  13. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right forum but I really wanted to share my recent find with some other Lego lovers. While on vacation visiting family I visited a kids consignment shop with my aunt. She noticed a huge container of lego and pointed it out. I talked to the staff and they were planning on sorting it out and selling it in a Facebook auction around Black Friday. They didn't seem willing to sell it that day so after buying other awesome stuff for my daughter we left. I thought about those lego for the next week and shortly before we left the state I gave the store a call and asked again if they'd be willing to sell it all at once. They agreed! I was a…

  14. Hey Brickpickers, I'm still deployed, but at least getting closer to my return back to the U.S. this summer. My oldest son sent me a news article a couple days ago, and I found it very interesting. Apparently my current hometown, Columbus, Georgia (home of exotic Fort Benning) is getting a Bricks & Minifigs LEGO store. I was not familiar with this particular franchise until I read the article. After a cursory amount of research, I've learned they have approximately 30 retail locations in U.S. and Canada. The official website describes their mission statement as: Bricks & Minifigs® is your one-stop LEGO® shop! We are the largest toy store of our kind, sp…

So today the Bricklink MOC Shop got released, appearently which also goes by the name of Bricklink 2.0? Since they refer to the Bricklink we know as Bricklink 1.0. Anyway, we are able to part in bricks and sell them as sets (designs) provided by a other users (designers). Over the past month or two this MOC Shop has been in Beta and people could request some of the designs for sale... this number is very low. I have been checking around and setting up a store myself and what i found out is that we can't exceed a profit margin of 100%. For example one of the most requested set (design) is: Container w/ sticker space (Light Bluish Gray. (http://moc.brickli…

I have seen quite a few half pound lots of minifigures sell for over $55.00 consistantly enough to wonder if they are shilling. I bought one of these lots because I saw Narcissa's torso in it, I paid 55.00 and yes, I got her torso and a gryffindors body, and a bunch of really random items. But this one is of interest to me...and I get the disclaimer they didn't sort these. But am I the only one who sees a half eaten oreo cookie?

I'm sure these it's posted somewhere already, but I can't seem to find it - if someone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful. Looking for a cheat sheet of tips for selling here on BP. I just listed a few items recently, and hoping I did things right. Major questions: 1. If a buyer wants to basically "make an offer", how would you facilitate that reduced price? 2. Any good way to facilitate "cost varies by buyer location" (other than just setting the top-end shipping cost and issuing a refund for any potential excess)? 3. Any concerns with having listings posted across multiple platforms? If my item sells on eBay and a few hours later on BP, easy enough t…

I've been doing some "window shopping" around bricklink pricing out some older retired sets I might want to add to my collection. I noticed that quite a few sellers have disclaimers stating things like" -item is not my responsibility once it's dropped off at the post office -not responsible if item is damaged/lost in mail -buyer is responsible for submitting usps insurance claim if item is damaged This seem odd to me. I know bricklink is not ebay, but this stuff would never fly on ebay. I figured the general consensus is that the seller is responsible for getting the purchased item to the buyer in the condition it was described in. That's how I operate…

Hello and good day✌️ Are there any BP'er's close by Belchertown and would be willing to pick up a small used bulk(figs) and drop in the mail for me? Found an older person with some figs Im interested in that doesnt use paypal/venmo/cash app/etc, distrusts any postal service and is looking for local pickup only. I can make it worth your time and effort. Feel free to pm me if youd prefer not to respond to the thread. Thank you for your consideration.

Was wondering if everyone has all payments from both ebay and bricklink go to same paypal account? I know you can have 1 personal and 1 business account via paypal but just seems like overkill.

Hey guys! As the title says, I'm looking to sell my Bricklink store. I received a new promotion at work which is going to start soon causing me to lose some of my free time. Instead of keeping the store active and going, I'd rather spend that time with my kids on the other side of the LEGO spectrum ( working on a giant city now). The store has 33k new pieces and close to 2500 different lots. I also have some inventory that hasnt been pieced out. I'm looking to see if any of you existing stores would be interested in buying me out. I'm looking to sell quick and preferably to one individual buyer instead of just letting the store sell out piece by piece. …

Hi everyone, Whenever I try to attach a bonus coupon (for instance, 3,000 points when you spend $10) I can apply the coupon, but the points don't show up in my account. Has anyone encountered this and fixed it? Thanks! D
