Browsing through Ebay after hearing about Lego clearances people were scoring I looked online at a couple of the sets on Ebay. My example would be the Star Wars 9500 Sith Interceptor. It's MSRP is 89.99 and people are selling it for as low as 60 dollars and some change on Ebay and there are more than one copy available in that price range. 33% off an unopened set is pretty sweet. It almost seems easier to wait out the life of some sets and scoop it up when resellers are selling it hard. I may not use this method for resale purposes, but it seems like it's worth considering when adding a set that is stocked in stores like Walmart, Target, and any other local competiti…

Hey Folks, Was wondering what everyone thought of the hardcover Lego books, that come with a free minifigure. I bought one each of Ninjago, Minifigure encyclopedia, and Harry potter for $10 each from Amazon. Already received the minifigure one, and it is a beautiful book! I can't believe the quality for sawbuck deliverd. Thinking about ordering some more for investments--especially the harry potter. It has pictures of all the lego sets in that series. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/075669812X/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1465401725/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Have you guys noticed that one of the best months of the year to purchased retired and expensive sets seems to be in December? Several sets like the 10179, 10181, Green Grocer, etc. Seem to drop somewhat significantly in holiday season, while we know that most LEGO sets actually peak during this time.

Hello all. I am just curious on what sets you are most looking forward to in the coming year. I'm sure there will be a lot of people saying star wars UCS slave. I personally would like to see some more modular sets or even some large architecture sets.

So I have 2 pick a brick promo boxes that are good until end of March to use. I don't part out sets or have a need for extra bricks of any kind as I don't assemble LEGO beyond what is in the instructions of a set. My actually 'spare' parts box of LEGO is very small. I've browsed the bins of the local LEGO store but I have no idea what I should grab from a resale point of view. Any pointers? Any parts I should look for that might be quick and easy resell on eBay?

Something important must have snapped in me recently as I've decided I need more lego back in my life, but rather than go totally nuts and buy the first thing I saw I at least had a look for what was on sale. And then I noticed TRU had a habit of doing these "Superpacks" 66411 - containing 9495,9488 & 9489, this coupled with a

Found this in the attic. It is in the original (black and white) box, which shows wear. The set is new. Only one of the internal boxes has been opened, and all parts are still sealed in plastic. I don't see a manual, although I suppose it could be in one of the still sealed boxes. Looking for some advice: What is the best venue to sell? Auction format? Where can I go to get more specific advice on how to evaluate and sell? Unemployed, and need the cash, but also need to get top dollar. Your help is appreciated.

What are everyones opinions on minifigs for $1? Should you buy as many as you can carry/afford, or leave them? Can you make any profit reselling them or would you do better buying a little larger sets?

Before I begin, apologies if this is a rehash of another person's view that has already been posted. A couple of background things as well. I am in Australia, postage to my country is not cheap for items from the US, Europe or Asia. Also, being in Australia, sites such as Amazon do not directly ship to my country, so I am keeping this to being about eBay, which I have experience with. One last thing, any monitory values are $AUS, this is worth 90 cents to the $1US, to keep it simple, I will say it is the same. So I begin.... I have just received a parcel from the United States containing Lego set 40079. I purchased it from eBay, received it in just over a week. …

Hi folks, I'm curious if anyone else here has their own website for selling? We set up our own online store last year after deciding to put a bit more energy into the business, and it's been a really interesting ride. I'm naturally interested in web development and marketing etc, so my thinking had been it was a worthwhile investment in my own learning if nothing else, though I was confident it would be worthwhile from a business perspective too. Obviously we've gone from spending money on fees to spending it on advertising and marketing, but it's been fairly worthwhile so far - at least in our local experience in New Zealand. Would love to know if …

BrickFanatics has released the results for their Lucky #7 LEGO Set Award: The Set of the Year. This year, 4 sets were in nominated by the 5 judges, therefore two votes for one set. That set was... 10232 PALACE CINEMA!!!!! Congratulations to the 3 other sets that were nominated: 70709 Galactic Titan 41999 4x4 Crawler Exclusive Edition 70010 The Lion CHI Temple It appears that modular-like buildings are the amongst the most popular LEGO products, last year's winner being the Haunted House. Any other sets you think should have, or could have won the award? I believe that the set has to be released this year (2013). My nomination goes to the 10236 Ew…

Hi! I opened a new eBay account in November, in order to start selling LEGO. From having my first sale cancelled after I had handed the package over to the courier, by a soccer mom who didn't realize the item shipped from outside the US, to people who write to express their gratitude and say that their son loved the set, but don't leave any feedback. My feedback stands proudly at 0 (ahah!) and the whole experience has been somewhat bittersweet. Now I need some advice from more experienced sellers. I've read the FAQs but I'm not sure which line to take. I sold a 70010 Lion CHI Temple on Saturday afternoon, which I had got for 26

My daughter and I went to a local Toy and Lego show here in *** recently and scored a free vintage Star Wars Lego set from a celebrity actor! His name is Serge Duque and he showed up at the show here in *** and gave away a lot of collectibles to a number of attendees at the show!!. We researched his name and he has an IMDB page with current pictures for reference. If anyone sees this guy around at one of these shows, you may get lucky and score big like we did 🤫 Please come back here on this thread if you have any appearance info he may show up at next. We will post a pic of the Lego he gave us shortly. For reference to what he looks like google: IMDB Sergio …

I just wanted to mention that BrickPicker is now working with the awesome Lego website, www.REBRICKABLE.com. If you never saw the site, it is a really neat idea. You can input all of your current Lego sets, then the site will tell you which other Lego models you can build, both stock Lego sets or MOC models. Here is my favorite example... http://rebrickable.com/sets/anio/tie-fighter First class Lego website!

My wife mentioned that I try selling some sets on a Facebook swap group that she was a part of. I put up a set like I would on Craigslist and got a ton of interest from people. However, almost all of the offers were lowball offers and nothing ever came from it. Has anyone had any luck dealing with these groups and any tips to make it a better experience? Thanks.

Stonewars has this slated for October. Trying to put my own excitement aside, I could still see this being in high demand upon release through Q4. At $170 it's at a lower price point than the NES set last year and likely appealing to a larger fanbase. Anyone else think this could be the next easy quick flip after R2-D2 and Botanicals?
