I like the polybag but what has everyone been buying to get it while sticking close to $75 threshold? I'm getting bored of just buying VW T1 and would rather spend less to get a few more of these polys.

I saw on their Facebook page last night and my visit this morning that they have some minifigs for sale in addition to the usual action figures. Mostly Simpsons and Series 11-14 figures were present. They said they got them in bulk from a friend and they were reasonably priced in my opinion. More common figures were $5 and the most expensive was $15 (the magician). I picked up a few to encourage this new direction (including the magician, Comic Book Guy, space miner and Egyptian soldier). Surprisingly for a comic book shop, they had no superheroes or Star Wars minifigures. They said they'd be open to buying more for resale so I may take some of my less in demand doubles t…

So finally my Walmart lowered this set. I have had my eye on it for some time. It had gone to 50 and then 45 but finally today it was on for 25. I grabbed all 5. Maybe other Walmart will be doing the same. Sent from my Passport using Brickpicker mobile app

I'm talking items like the Parisian restaurant where the price hasn't moved but price wise sit at a lower cost for Canadians. (in usd conversion). Anyone else thinking it might be time to start buying a bit extra before prices escalate?

Got an e-mail this morning telling me to "check out our new shops!" and noticed the LEGO logo there, sure enough i checked the airmilesshops and LEGO Shop at Home is one of them. Not a huge deal really, but certainly something to keep in mind. To take advantage of this you have to shop through the airmiles shop link by logging in to your airmiles account and accessing it through the website.

Many Costco's have the F1 Technic 42000 on for $99.99. I don't expect they will last long. Ajax Costco had about 30 left and over half were sold.

Best way to sell bulk lego? Divide into colors and sell by the pound? Is it worth it going after some of the better sets in the pile? I have more than one old airport (3182, 60022), trainsets, some Indiana Jones and maybe a Hogwarts Castle. Also the construction crawler and some bigger boats. It wouldn't phase me to buy the instructions and possibly a used box on brinklink and piece it together for completion. What about minifigs? A bit of everything, some star wars, etc. Sell in bulk. Wheels and windows? Piles of them, divide them out and sell? I've been separating the crap blocks from OG Lego and then washing. What should I do with the BT…

Nothing special but just thought I'll post this for those who only shop within CAN and want/need an Army set. 25% discount is better than 20% we see normally at retail. Instead of $39.99 we're paying US price of $30. Did not see any other LOTR/Hobbit deals. Along with other investors I hope this set with Helms Deep retires before December this year.

My weekly flyer shows that select Star Wars and other sets are 20% off this week. On top of that, they are doing a no tax event today and this weekend so those sets would be 33% off (20% discount plus 13% HST). RCS is one of my favourite places to buy because they often have 50% clearance prices so there may be some of those bargains as well.

I commented on this in a thread regarding R5 from TRU.ca, but figured it deserves it's own thread as this is pretty major imo... it looks like many exclusives no longer apply for free shipping over $25, or even $10 off shipping. For example Palace Cinema: http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?prodFindSrc=cart&productId=19102406 "Free shipping on anything over $25" is not listed. This can be said about most of the "Hard to Finds". I also thought it could just be a bug and will apply at checkout, but nope, $9.83 shipping cost. If you add 4 PC's in cart the cost is $37 in shipping, gross. So i figured OK, maybe they have a new weight cap for free shipping. …

Any Canadians use this? What delivery services do you normally use for shipping within our border? Canpar, Fedex, UPS? I assume there's other cheaper delivery services (domestic), but I recently signed up to Venture. Saves you 8% on shipping (and over priced supplies which you should buy elsewhere anyways) and the best part is you pay for regular delivery but get priority faster service and free $100 insurance on every package. For sets +$100 you can always chose to added in extra insurance. It's free to sign up. They don't require you to fill in a business number. The mail manager at my local Shoppers Drug Mart told me he signed up but didn't use his busin…

Really nothing at all... 20% off select City, Creator, Basic and Super Heroes sets. You can also receive a free Spider-Man Glider polybag (4.99 value) when you purchase a minimum of $30. Here`s the kicker, the offer only applies to a purchase of any REGULAR priced Lego sets... and our neighbours down south are complaining about a lack of deals...

Hi fellow Canucks, As of this morning and for the rest of the week sears.ca has some pretty sweet deals on some sets that are listed as 'sold out' on the S&**** website and are likely retired. Several of these sets are selling for more (in some cases quite a bit more) on ebay and amazon.com, which makes them about as low risk as can be for an investor. Add up your sets to $100 and apply the coupon code 941612305 to get another $10 off, which brings some of these sale prices to around 40% off. Use your sears store card to pick up extra sears points, or another reward card in your wallet. Make sure to use ****** or another promotional offer to get another…

With the new big box retailer Target just about to put its footprint into Canada, the question is up?! Will these stores have Lego sets for sale and will the famous variety/discounts/price matching be available to us? Or it is going to be the same $%*ty selection/pricing here in Canada than Walmart and the others have...?!

My local walmart had some new sets on clearance today. Best deal deal was the wizard battle for 38% off. the other sets were so so, 20% or less.
