This really isn't to brag but more market speculation/observation in nature. I average about $500 CDN a month in sales using Craigslist and Amazon only. Christmas is better obviously but I've noticed a lot of people commenting about sales being down since then whereas with over a week left in this month I've already had my best sales ever at $800. Nothing else has changed as best I can tell. No material additions to the sets offered or changes to price. In fact one of my better sellers the Raptor Rampage is dead now that sets are back in store. I'm selling a mix of Hobbit, superheroes, and Star Wars primarily. Just thought it was an odd result given the prevailing sentime…

http://globalnews.ca/news/2291887/target-begins-shipping-to-canadian-households-through-its-website/ At first glance I was excited but after going through the checkout system the loaded cost of some exclusives was far above normal CDN retail. Duty on shipping is charged because product is coming from the USA. But worth keeping an eye on...

I was working REALLY hard at work, looking up all things Lego, and learned that tickets are now available for purchase from Ticketmaster for the 2017 Vancouver Brick-Can at River Rock. Tickets are $18 each plus processing and I wanted to give a heads up to the "locals" because tickets quickly sold out last year. http://www.brickcan.com/event/public-exhibition

Wouldn't necessarily call this a deal, but Mastermind Toys is currently selling this set a few days before the official release date. Apparently they can be found in stores too. Will check my local store later today. http://www.mastermindtoys.com/LEGO-Back-to-the-Future-DeLorean.aspx?refid=2000

Best way to sell bulk lego? Divide into colors and sell by the pound? Is it worth it going after some of the better sets in the pile? I have more than one old airport (3182, 60022), trainsets, some Indiana Jones and maybe a Hogwarts Castle. Also the construction crawler and some bigger boats. It wouldn't phase me to buy the instructions and possibly a used box on brinklink and piece it together for completion. What about minifigs? A bit of everything, some star wars, etc. Sell in bulk. Wheels and windows? Piles of them, divide them out and sell? I've been separating the crap blocks from OG Lego and then washing. What should I do with the BT…

I've been reading that a lot of people buy from Amazon Europe, but do you still get good deals after the exchange rate in Canada, and shipping costs? Last year when it was a tad over $1.60 CAD for 1 pound when I was exchanging money, and it just seems like it would work out to the same as buying in Canada.

So I am trying to setup shipping portion of my bricklink store and would like to know have any Canadians figure out the best/affordable way to mail out bricks within Canada? I can ship by USPS for all US and International shipments. If needed, I am wiling to route shipments from West to East cost Canada via USPS if that means cheaper and more predictable prices through USPS flat rate priority boxes.

While it's not a deal, I didn't know where I should put this, so my apologies in advance. Does anybody know if we can sign up for a Canada Post Small Business card without encountering any issues? I know someone who has one and they've let me use it a few times and I'd love to keep getting that discount. I don't ship a ton of stuff, but what I do ship is pretty large. I'm not registered as a business or small business and don't want to run into any legal issues here. Thanks for any insight

Any Canadians use this? What delivery services do you normally use for shipping within our border? Canpar, Fedex, UPS? I assume there's other cheaper delivery services (domestic), but I recently signed up to Venture. Saves you 8% on shipping (and over priced supplies which you should buy elsewhere anyways) and the best part is you pay for regular delivery but get priority faster service and free $100 insurance on every package. For sets +$100 you can always chose to added in extra insurance. It's free to sign up. They don't require you to fill in a business number. The mail manager at my local Shoppers Drug Mart told me he signed up but didn't use his busin…

What other reward points (excluding Lego VIP) do you collect to trade for Lego? I initially started collecting aeroplan points for travel, but after seeing how much taxes I need to pay on top of the points used, I rather redeem them for pre-paid American Express. I am about 4000 points shy to redeem $1250 in AE cards. I am planning to buy a few exclusive sets in the Lego store once the cards arrived.

Hey Canadians, just a heads up Canadian Superstore has ALL Superheroes and Ninjago on for 20% off. This includes all new Superhero sets. Not an amazing deal but if you're looking for some deals on the new sets this isn't bad. Lego selection at my local store is poor but i imagine some might find lots to look at their respective stores. Also my local store had a massive general toy clearance going on, shelves and shelves of random toy clearance. Might be worth checking out! have fun

Many stores have 30% off sets. Also, until December 21, you can get 4% in points with any purchase type, or 8% if you have a CT card. Wide range of sets are available and a couple were already below MSRP so it worked out to 45% off (based on 4% points). Yay LEGO!

Pretty much everything in two stores I went to this morning were on sale/clearance. Most were 20-30% off. Not that great, but today only when you spend $200 you get a $50 gift card (to spend on more Lego, of course). I grabbed AT-ATs, Imperial Star Destroyers and Brick Bountys. I doubt the most popular (and already retired sets) won't make it very long today, but the gift card should be good to grab some of the slower moving sets tomorrow. Now I'm checking store stock and planning to hit up a few more farther away to clear out the SW sets I want.

Hey Guys, So after this last Christmas and the Canadian Tire MAdness in stores. Has Anyone been watching there online store? I checked them out and they seem to have some older harder to find sets still available. Although The prices are full price and i dont see any free shipping. My question is has anyone watched to see if there online store goes on clearance or sale? The same sets in stores were discounted 20-30% which seems weird to me that they are full price online.. Let me know what you guys think and if anyone has bought stuff online through them what your experience was. Thanks
