  2. When I walk around the house I enjoy taking in the Lego sets that I have on display. It's a pretty minimal amount if a person was to ask me compared to all the crafty stuff my wife gets to put up all over the house, but I take what I can get. I get one space in the dining room on top of a china cabinet that I get to myself. I've chosen the 4504 Millenium Falcon, 7166 Imperial Shuttle, and the Z 95 Headhunter. I just took down the Grand Emporium in favor of representing Star Wars. I also have a built in bookshelf in the den that has a variety of Lego odds and ends. Mostly CMF's and Lego original material boxes for my son to beat up and toss around. On the top of tha…

My brother sent me this link in his local Craiglist universe: http://allentown.craigslist.org/wan/3700050483.html I'm sure there are a few people here that can appreciate an ad like this. Maybe I should set up my own post if this actually works... In my own local Craigslist universe: http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/tag/3701222921.html It looks like there are some Lego in there and a lot of assorted weirdness. Feel free to ad your own Craiglist listings that make a person do a double take.

  4. Hello all! I'm a daydreaming builder. I love creating whole worlds (in my imagination) when I build with my LEGO. Instead of just making a little minifig, I make a whole back story and try to imagine where he comes from and what the world around HIM is like. I like to kind of turn my build experience into an almost MMORPG/board game feel. I like to have towns where the different minifigs can work/live in. I create a currency they can buy, sell and trade with. I also like to get other RL people to join in the fun! I can sit there for hours daydreaming and writing up ideas, drawing maps and sketching different races. I find this kind of play very rewarding! I d…

I http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_BUDGET_BATTLE_INTERNET_SALES_TAX?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2013-03-22-20-13-33 ...these clowns have no idea how to solve any problem without throwing money at it. (Which creates more problems.) (While I am not sure the details of the this exact piece of s#$t legislation, rumor has it they will only tax those who sell over 1 million dollars in revenue? IDK but I HAAAATE Washington...what a bunch of clowns.)

Has anyone over the age of 14 tried to go into the lego store for the monthly mini builds? I have been debating to go because they are cool and why not have a few free bricks. But the closest store is only 45-60 mins away. Another store is coming closer in 2013 cutting the time down to 30 mins. I am 21, but I could possibly pass for 16. But if they are strict on the ages I guess it would be a waste to drive.

  8. I can remember my dad showing me how to interlock bricks so my walls wouldn't fall down when building houses and garages. But I was a huge fan of Thunderbirds in the 1960's and can remember making a reasonable Zero-X from the Thunderbirds Are Go film. The small shuttle part and the lifting wings were detachable from the main body - and it used to creash spectacularly just like in the film.

Hi everyone, I am writing some top secret material for BrickPicker, and need to know a little information. What Lego Star Wars sets have been remade? Since this is a fairly serious thread, I would appreciate it if this one stayed on topic, since its not like we ever get off topic. :-) Thanks everyone! Here is the list so far: Sith Infiltrator Luke's Landspeeder Gungan Sub Clone Turbo Tank UCS X-Wing X Wing Fighter (non-UCS) Millennium Falcon Desert Skiff AAT A-Wing Droid Escape Imperial Shuttle (both UCS and non-UCS) Naboo Starfighter Republic Gunship Geonosian Starfighter AT-AT (both UCS and non-UCS) Jabba

  15. Here is my question: I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get the case number from lego.com. Walmart buys from Lego it receives a differnet number depending on the product. Sometimes its 3 per case or maybe 6? My goal is to buy the same number as walmart does from their online store and I would think they wiould ship it from the original box they received it from Lego. I then would like to store it - untouched until its time to sell. I was hoping if i had the upc number - somewhere online it told me the case number. I hope this made some kind of sense. Thanks for any input.

Just wondering if someone can help me out on this one... How do you figure out is something is an exclusive set to any store besides looking on all the sites to see which ones have them in stock? Examples of stores that sets might be exclusive to: LEGO Shop at Home, Walmart, TRU, Target. Thanks everyone!

I want to wish my BIG brother Ed a Very Happy Birthday today. Many, many decades ago, Ed was put on this earth to help build the world's greatest LEGO website Ed has always been an awesome big brother and didn't beat me up too much. Just the normal torturing of a little brother and he did used to make me and my sister sort his LEGO into boxes, but it was never too bad. Now you all get benefit of his wisdom from many years of experience. So please everyone, wish Ed a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  21. Please move this thread if this isn't the right place for it. What Treasures, Gems, or Garbage did your Lego Bulk Lot Hold? I wanted to start this thread for awhile, what I would like to see is the hidden gems you found in the box wether it be lego (cool or rare pieces) or something else neat other then lego ( toys, coins, etc) or something crazy like (glass, metal garbage, etc). Photos would always be good so the forum could help you identify an item. I have a few things to post like a small c3po made of metal I think and some small plastic camels and elephants.

I thought it would be interesting to see what other things people may buy sell and or trade beyond Lego. I personally collect and resell Star Wars action figures and other vintage toys, old school pc games, vintage NES games, and comics occasionally, all around nerdy stuff. It's been helpful when I go to things like flea markets to recognize other things that are being sold for potential resale value and increase the amount of funding my primary hobby, Lego, receives. Anyone else do collecting on the side beyond Lego?
