Anyone actually take the time to do the online survey that is on the Target, Toysrus, and other retailers' receipt? Has anyone win the price it said on the survey? I tried a few times and just gave up on them.

I'd love to see the SpaceX Lego projects hah. Or another wave of NASA sets!

When you opened this, I bet you thought it might be interesting. It isn't. I suggest to The Macks that this emoticon: should be retired. E.O.L. It's cute, but the position of the eyes implies a hint of sarcasm when none is intended. I mean, I don't want people thinking I'm rude because this smiley face has an attitude problem. Seriously, I really enjoyed that thing you said. Don't listen to that smiley face guy. If you agree, roll your eyes at me. Word.

  7. I think I might venture to Seattle this October for Brickcon. The only thing that is holding me back is the LEGO blocumentary on you tube that profiles the founders of brickcon, not to be rude but the type of people I saw there in the documentary seemed well kinda weird. I consider myself a pretty normal guy so I don't want to go all the way up there and feel out of place. I know I am stereotyping but it is what it is. Anyone else been to something like this. Will they burn me at the stake if in show up and mention investing?

  8. Did any of you catch the premier of The Yoda Chronicles on Cartoon Network? I haven't watched a show on that network (besides Adventure Time) in years. It was pretty good. There was a lot of blatant gag humor, which was basically for children. But there was some adult humor as well. For example, there was a running General Grievous coughing joke, which eventually involved an injury to his... well you know. It's definitely going to make kids want the Lego Star Wars sets!

For some reason in stores and online in my country they usually put Playmobil and Lego together, I remember when I was a kid watching those toys and asking myself: What is this? What are they doing next to Lego if you can't build them? I guess they're just common toys =/.

  12. Since presumably some adults on here are into vintage toys, there is a new show premiering on the Travel Channel on Wednesday April 10 called toy hunter. I would imagine there would be some mention of LEGO, if not it still looks like an interesting show. 10-9 central I believe is the time but please don't hold me to that.

So I am looking into getting into this in my area. I'm sure there are members here that are also LUG members. I know a while back LUGs were brought up and a member who is no longer member here was acting like LUGs are some exlusive super secret underground club. Looking at a LUG chapter website in my area, it doesn't seem that way at all. Any experiences you would like to share would be helpful. If any of my Texas peeps want more info just let me know.

I am selling a Lego 7898 train set on e-bay. I was asked if I would ship to China from an e- bay member with 24 transactions and 100% feedback. I would only go thru e-bay channels to avoid fraud. Does anyone know If it's worth the time and effort

  18. What is a paypal eCheck and why are they used? Paypal eChecks are used when the buyer doesn't have a a credit card or alternate funding source attached to their PayPal account. An eCheck works like a normal paper check. When the buyer sends payment the funds are transferred from the buyers bank account into the sellers paypal account. Paypal says you should expect the echeck to clear in 3-4 working days. The funds are not available to the seller until cleared. A echeck is just like writing a paper check and has to wait til it clears. Now this is still a problem with first time sellers and even sellers who been selling for a number a years. The Problem is alot of Bu…

Assault on the First Amendment: Joe Biden endorses a tax on blood and gore - WashingtonTimes Vice President Sees No Legal Hurdles in Enacting Sin Tax on Violent Media - GamePolitics Biden: No legal problem with taxing violent games - Gamespot I would add something of an opinion here but I am really in the middle of something else that needs attention.

  24. Hi, I know every set is different, and some sets are continuing to grow after several years, but what is the typical time for EOL sets price increases to level off? I'm asking as there are several sets out there, that when you look at the graph of sales, are just a flat line for the previous year's data available, so you don't know how long they were in growth. Opinions?

Don't you hate people that spurt out "oh, LEGO is too expensive I'll just pick this cheap chinese knock off that's exactly the same! It's my way of getting back at Lego for taking my money!"? It gets so annoying having to tell them about the type of plastic lego uses, the exceptional customer service, the licensing fees, and the fact that Lego has to hire tons of creative designers and engineers to pump out the hundreds of lego sets they produce each and every year (and making sure things work smoothly in the back end to get to everybody's hands: investors and children alike). Yes they make record profits, but they make sure people d*mn well enjoy the experience of bui…
