So, I think that one reply to this post would be sufficient if I get a good enough answer, but what does the actual monthly listing values account for? For example, does the price sold for an item include the cost of shipping, or is it just the original price? ALso, just exactly how accurate is the average compared to real world? I never seem to find sets that come even close the the monthly average on ebay, so someone please give me an insight on where the data comes from.

  2. I just added a new feature to each price guide set page. You will now be able to see the price history of Amazon and 3rd party sellers on Amazon. This will be helpful in case you are ever wondering what the lowest price was for a set on Amazon. Its also amazing to see how much fluctuation Amazon pricing really has. As with any updates, there may be a bug or two. Hopefully not Just click the links you see near the Amazon logo near the current offers for each set. If we do not have Amazon code numbers, you will not see the links. Take a look at the attached photo. Just remember, for any sets that are retired, you will most like have to click on the 3rd Party Selle…

In case you haven't already noticed, we have added video reviews of LEGO sets from THE BRICK SHOW. In case you are unfamiliar with Jason and Stephen and their LEGO video review site, THE BRICK SHOW, check out the links on the bottom left corner of the homepage. Jason and Stephen do an excellent job of reviewing various LEGO sets and minifigures and also announces LEGO news from time to time. Their reviews are in depth, informative and entertaining. We hope to add their reviews on the Price Guide page for the various sets he critiques very soon. Check them out...

Maybe I missed it, but I was wondering if there is a spot on the brickfolio for when you sell something? That way you can keep track of profit and gain over time

I noticed on Hoth Bricks that there was a little write-up on Brickpicker and that some of the users have responded in what appears to be a negative fashion. I can't read the write-up or the complaints (sure I could copy and paste everything into a translation site, but what fun would that be?) so I was wondering if I could get a little synopsis. Thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm really new to all of this and I want to start earning brickpoints but I can't find any place that tells me how many I have already. Do I start earning them the moment I opened an account? Or is it something that I have to sign up for? I'm confused and just need some advise! Thanks!!!

I have been trying to add sets to our Brickfolio, but with no search results? I have been searching by set number and set name. Any other suggestions of how to find and add the sets we purchased and built? Thanks everyone!!

I know there are videos of people unboxing sets, and some sets are easier than others to identify how many bags (like 3x bag 1's, and 2x bag 2's, ... 3x bag 14's), and that these bags are in a sub box, etc. Anyway what about brick picker making a catalog of the sets, and as a community when we unbox any set that is not in this catalog take note of how many of each bag and take pictures of say all of the bag 1's and bag 2's, etc.? I have thought about doing this for some time heck whats another domain (when you already have 160, lol), and I already have servers in a colo. I know I started the writing the framework for this. I would be happy to help and or do…

does anyone else have a problem getting their cursor where they want it especially on mobile phones or tablets? I only have this problem on this site so I know its not my phone or tablet. I know 0 about computer programming but it this causing the issue? Does anyone even know what I'm talking about.......I feel like I'm not describing it accurately.

  12. Man......I learned my lesson tonight! Hard style! Saw a hero factory guy I wasn't familiar with on Craig's for 15 bucks. Punched it up on bp as always to see what value was. I did a triple take---checked the part number and picture and description. It was showing worth 120 new...and this one was misb. I immediately emailed and begged her to sell it to me tonight 9pm eastern. She agreed and I punched it---scooting across the state 35 miles. Got the item and a few others she had listed...not really deals....but I was planning a money maker on the hero factory so bought her used junk too for another 30 bucks. I was so happy on the way home...stopped and treated myself …

  13. When I attach a file, I see " You can upload up to Uploading is not allowed of files (Max. single file size: 10MB)" It worked last night. I have a an iPad 4 ("new") and using the standard browser.

  14. hi, can the "What Lego set did you sell today?" thread be moved to the "members only" portion of the forum? if so, maybe the " Investing Forum" forum? this way, our sale posts won't be public for prying eyes (especially from google searches). not that registering takes much effort... just a suggestion. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/771-what-lego-set-did-you-sell-today/

  15. Started by Legodog,

I wasnt quite sure where this topic belonged so i figured i would post it here. This may be an aweful idea guys so don't hold back on telling me so. What if you list how many other brickpicker.com members own a particular Lego set when you view the details page for that set? Maybe even a percentage would be more helpful to put it in perspective. I was just curious how popular certain sets are with investors here at brickpicker.com. I am sure there is a reason for not listing that info but I wasn't sure.

  16. I'm subscribed to the Daily LEGO Deals - USA, and recently I'm not getting the new post, but this instead (see image). Has something changed? I get about 50% of the new posts, the rest are this message.

  17. I just posted a thread that people should know about and now it's disappeared, there's no message letting me know i did something wrong, there's no closed thread or note from a mod, it's just gone this is not the first time that it's happened and i'm quite frankly getting pissed off with it, either there's some sort of vendetta against me or someone's too lazy to let people know when they're violating some sort of rule. I'd like to know where my post went

I'm sure this isn't the right place for this but I can't get the 6862 thread on the first page of the superhero forum to open. Every other thread opens except that one. I've tried different devices as well.

  19. Started by Ted,

Just out of curiosity, i decided to post this in order to get some more information since i have done a search through the whole forum and not find anything close enough. I have often seen other Brickpicker members having different 'Rank', for example i am a 'Brick Broker' and some others are 'Brick Manager' or 'Brick Picker'. TheOrcKing in his profile is a 'Chairman of the brick'. That being said, i would like to know how we members achieve these 'Ranks' and in what order are they achieve from? i believe i go from 'Brick Picker' to 'Brick Broker' so what is next? Regarding the Awards, i used to see them the last time on the old forums but not now in the new forums, may…

  20. I was looking at my Brickfolio and I was wondering what the different between Current Price and Market Value is in the brickfolio? It seems to use the current price when calculating your brickfolio value though.

Before the recent forum update, whenever I use to click on "view new content" and go on a thread, it used to take me to the first unread post, now it just goes to the first page. Is anyone else having this issue and know how to fix?

  23. Just curious since I have 200 pounds of bulk Lego that I have collected over the years.

  24. Started by baldilocks,

I stopped investing a few years ago, but I have lots of loose Lego. Does anyone buy Lego by the pound?

  25. does this site show the whole life of a sets CAGR and monthly listing sold to date? It seems as it only shows about 1 year back.
