Saw a flat of Lego at my TRU today and looks like the Bricktober sets are similar to last year's. Sorry if this is already posted, couldn't find anything on my phone.

Check out my Black Friday shipments of Helm's Deep from TRU: All boxes crushed, a few with holes in them, one box's seals totally popped off. After opening the shipping box up completely it was easy to see why this damage may have occurred - the box chosen to package the items was completely too large for the sets, leaving a large amount of space for them to move and be damaged during transit. When I started seriously investing in Legos my trips to TRU became more and more frequent and so did my anger and frustration with their pricing. TRU seems less like a toy store and more like and an airport gift shop. I mean does anyone there know what they charge EVERYWHERE OUTSIDE OF THEIR STORES???? With the internet so readily available and even the average consumers becoming ninja-like in their ability to find the cheapest prices how can a bunch of suits sit around in an office and think they can get away with marking up their prices sooooooooooooooo much??? I received my first rewards coupons in the mail today. Two $5 rewards that expire on 3/15/14 and another two $5 rewards that can be used from 3/16/14 - 3/31/14. Is this normally how they send out rewards? You have to use them within a two week window? That seems really lame.

Just got an email with a 20% off your next toy purchase read all the fine print it does say excludes hard to find. But doesn't say it is just for one item and not sure if it stacks with current lego sale. Anyone else get one?

I just hit my local TRU and was excited to see a Vampyre Castle and Vampyre Hearse on the shelves. Scanned them and was happy to see the price of $50 and $20. So brought them home but now realize I was stupid and didn't look at the seals. They were both opened and scotch taped. Of course all of the minifigures were taken out. Just return them right? Or worth hanging on to even without the minifigs at that price? Think pretty much all of the value is in the minifigs, I'm not a parter outer so don't know too well.

I have wondered this for some time now, how long does everyone think they will be in business? I know some think that TRU is a thriving entity, but fact of the matter is that they are really not. Any predictions on how long before they have to shut their doors or do some of y'all think that will never happen. I say this with 100% percent honesty, if TRU was giving anyway LEGO sets I wouldn't think twice about not going there.

I have three TRU orders in "Item located in stock" status. Two of these orders are for not-yet released sets (Rapunzel and Friends Beach House), so I'm thinking there's less than a 5% chance these ship in the next day or two. Has anyone had any order cancelled when in the "Item located in stock" status?

Hi all, I have placed 2 orders for TRU under their latest deal. My credit card has been charged, yet I haven't received a confirmation email for either. Neither order show up on my account. I have sent off an email, but have heard that TRU are useless with their customer service. Is the lack of confirmation email a regular occurance, or just likely due to the high volume of sales with this deal? Thanks

Just went to a local Toys R Us thinking about buying a Vamp Castle for Clearance. Saw that they had the new 2014 Hobbit sets out. And to my surprise, the 217 peice one costed $20! The 700+ piece on costed $69.99 Is this an anomaly or is it that they going forward will price like everyone else?

I have 5 of these...anything worth getting? Would I be able to use them on the Vampyre Castle at 80?

Has anyone been banned from Toys R Us Online? I can place orders, but about 4 hours after I place them I get an email saying "We regret to inform you that we were unable to complete your order". It's been going on for about a week or so.

Can someone tell me why TRU thinks this is acceptable, and to charge over MSRP on top of this? I hope TRU goes out of business soon!

I had two large purchases where I was able to use the no interest financing for 6 months.... But they are charging me interest on these interest free promotional balances. I guess I'm posting this for two reasons. 1. Check your bills, I understand how this stuff works and TRU is not doing it correctly. I have used the promotional financing on other CCs with no problem before. 2. Has anyone else seen this? I am going to have to call and deal with it today which is a PITA. :-(

I was in TRU today and was told by one of the higher-ups in the store that TRU will announce this week that they will be closing several stores throughout the country. There will be large markdowns taking place Tue/Wed/Thu evening, and stores have already rec'd tags to markdown merchandise 30/50/70%, although the selection of merchandise marked down, and the % discount will ultimately vary by store, thus deals will be YMMV. With that being said, I don't know what is going to be marked down, as TRU clearance typically has a very poor selection, so it could turn out to be a bunch of crap put on sale. They appreciate my business and are very friendly with me when I stop in…

Today I found about these at TRU marked down to $23.99. Is this a good deal and will these sell next Christmas even though they are 2012?

Hi I am pretty sure some of us got shot down when price match to Amazon. What they explain to me is the Prime logo next to the price. So it's a membership only price. But for the member that had Prime all knew, that's not the case. What Prime gave us is 2 Day free shipping and video streaming. Does anyone know why TRU is doing that? because what they explanation is wrong. And on TRU.com, they still say they price match Amazon. So, any thoughts how we can still price match to Amazon and argue with them? Since I dont see anything officially release from the TRU Corp.
