Just been to SAH uk and 42054 has slipped into retirement.

That is a short life, couldn’t have sold well?

Also I have experienced today that I can no longer go to featured and tick retiring soon on SAH (anyone else having this issuer?).

Full retirement announcements must be very soon?

Ive tried and found the same thing with the check boxes ?

As Val-e has said, very typical for an autumn released technic set.

I started buying this when asda had it for £60 last year, Tesco also had it for £62 in the april 3-for-2. The volvo has also seen 50% off on several occasions.

Both stunning sets that IMO should do very well.

same thing happens to me all the time - cant check the boxes. It ny case it looks like some programming flaw on the website - whenever I click on the homepage of Lego e-shop, then click sets - choose sales & deals .. im able to check all the boxes I want... and then two or three days after that I have to follow the same procedure.

I'm in at £60 as well, felt too early but sometimes price is king

Stuff seems to be retiring faster this year than last. maybe they won´t need to tag many more sets - just the usual suspect turds of Nexo, Super Escort Girls and Friends. Almost all the non movie Ninjago sets have gone already, as has the first 2017 Elves set.

They’ve got to trim down their ridiculously bloated portfolio somehow! I have a feeling there’ll be more  -50% gems this year.

A lot will depend on what they offer for BF/Cm. If you remember last year,  they blew out all the Minecraft sets in one day with 30% off. That will be the moment to get rid of the larger exclusives like Batcave and Village, I guess.

Adventure Time is one set that could make it to 50% off.

Yes I concur more sets will join the 50 off club this year.

but thats the most interesting (discount).. all this year in Europe LEGO regularly both tagged sets "retiring soon" + discounted them (20-30 % each at least).. but this time there isnt not just any discount, but like every third set doesnt get a tag either.. so Im not really that sure there will be any discounts.. It looks like a very strong effort to maximize the profit from the sales due to intermin report results..

I have been tracking retirements this year and I disagree. We are only in mid November and about 80 sets are already done. BF will account for several more and so will Xmas build up and the first period of the post Xmas sale at 20%.

I reckon the only sets that will make it to 50% will be Super Girls, Nexo and the odd Friends, City, Batman Movie or Star Wars buildable. Adventure Time is also a candidate and we don´t know how many Yellow Submarines are still in warehouse. Clone Turbo Tank and Phantom also have very good chances of making the cut.

The non Nexo 50% off sets from last January were; 75150 A wing v Turd Fighter, 41122 Tree house, 41176 Secret Marketplace plus a few that came back into stock again and got marked down e.g. Doctor Who, Ecto...

Don´t count on it. It´s gone from most other shops so production seems to have stopped a while back and that sell will sell for Xmas. It will probably only be discounted if returns come in during the sales. Adventure TIme is a safer bet for a reduction.

Will the Simpson sets be on sale at either the Lego Store or LEGO Shop at Home on Black Friday or during the month of December?  Would like to get a Kwik-E Mart for my son who now likes like Simpsons after spending the day at Universal Studios Hollywood this past summer (he goes to bed with stuffed Bart doll every night).  Getting it on sale during the 2x VIP points from December 8 -10 would be oh so sweet.  Hmmmm.....

Unlikely. Have only seen the kwik for sale once last year at Barnes and Noble for $150. Have never seen the house on sale.

Lego black Friday sales are usually dumping grounds for slow sellers. Better shot of it showing up for sale at amz or wm.

edit - Simpsons finally retiring?
