Seasonal

Discussion for collecting and investing with Seasonal themed sets.

  1. Started by Noodlenut,

It appears the new polybag continuing the "seasons" theme has been announced on Brickset! I'm pretty pleased with it and will probably get it. What are your thoughts on the "Thanksgiving Feast" polybag?

  2. Started by Mos_Eisley,

Apparently we're getting holiday BrickHeadz next year. Hopefully these are additional holiday sets and aren't replacing the vignette sets.

  5. I just tried to place an order and noticed the Christmas promo didn't pop up in my cart. I called customer support and they said that they ran out of stock yesterday! Bummer...just sharing the news.

  6. I absolutely LOVE these sets, and wish I had the dough to buy them! The locations are so cheerful, and there is usually a cool vehicle included. I think these are MUCH better looking and better for display than the traditional lighted porcelin christmas diorama, especially for nerds like us, I was talking to a kid in my homeschool group abot Lego, when the old president of our group walked up. She said that every year, she buys three of that years winter village sets, builds one, and sells the other two to pay for it! It seems funny to me that an older lady (no offense to any of you out there) would think of this or even be interested in Lego! I had just found B…

I just found someone ready to part with this set for 600$, sealed. Mostly for long term investing, is this a good pick?

Coming soon to a LEGO store near you (or the usual LEGO Shop at Home): 40165 - Minifigure Wedding Favor Box shots: With different colours of hairpieces included. I think this set might be really good to get multiple copies of, as weddings will never get old.

A news post on The Brick Fan shows and confirms this unique set based around the Chinese Zodiac, or more specifically "The Year of the Snake" which 2013 will be. There is the question of whether it will be exclusive to China or not. Regardless, I think this is a pretty nice niche set. LEGO Creator "Year of the Snake" (10250) - The Brick Fan Download building instructions here. Deleted the other two lower quality images and replaced them with this much better one from motayan's flickr gallery. In the bottom right corner, you can clearly see the three designs from the "Prehistoric Hunters" set will be included in this one for a total of four. The "Special Edition 2013" i…

Promobricks.de has their review online: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-40291-creative-storybook-hans-christian-andersen-im-review/61256 The booklet includes suggestions for additional fairy tales displays, though those pieces nor instructions are not included: I think this is a brilliant absolutely MUST HAVE promo and I am guessing it will 'sell out' very quickly!
