With the surprising success of The Beatles Yellow Submarine passing the IDEAS evaluation, what other musical masters would you like to see make their way into LEGO form? Before I had mentioned a Jimi Hendrix tribute would be far out well as that Ziggy Stardust bust from a while back.

I'm parting out The Simpson House and I can't find Barts skateboard wheels. Can anyone tell me what bag they are in? Instructions say bag "1". I also checked the other bag "1".

Hello fellow Bpers We had a pretty significant basement flood last night and luckily very few of my Sets were damaged, only about $400 worth of sets had any water on them (biggest casualty was a complete soaked Tower of Orthanc). Let me tell ya... muscle rack shelves elevate and work well! All that to say the water is continuing to poor in but we have it relatively “maintained” but the basement is still wet. The Question I have is how long can a lego box hangout in a wet basement (without direct contact to water) before it starts to absorb moisture and damage the box? Thanks in advance Note: Yes I have insurance and have started a claim for damaged legos and ot…

Hey guys, Beef here and I'd like to share with you my very first Monday Haul here on the forum. Every Monday I'll update you with what I've purchased throughout the week. This week ended up being a BIG ONE, I took advantage of double VIP points this last weekend and grabbed a few things and I also found some deals on some older sets at a local retailer near me. Hope you enjoy Next weekend I'll be attending Wizard World Chicago, so hopefully I'll find something fun for you there. Till then, thanks for watching.

Just curious to see your best and worst investments from the percentage standpoint. According to my brickfolio, my best performing set is 6790 with a 753% gain from $2 to $17.06. My worst is 6614 with a -34.46% from $31.89 to $20.09

I am shipping both a used Passenger Plane (7893) and separately a B-Wing (6208) and need a box large enough to put the manual in flat. The medium/large flat rate boxes at USPS are no good, because the parts don't weigh enough to justify it, but the many small boxes I have at home aren't wide enough to put the manual in. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

Just wondering what the majority of you guys use in terms of Postal services. I've been previously using Royal Mail but the prices seem to have rocketed of late (been out of the game for a bit and they've jumped since i was last selling). Ideally a service which doesn't gobble up all of the profit but at the same time doesn't have a history of losing/damaging the precious lego sets! Edit - UK services not US

Ok guys, I have a trip to Hawaii in October that I want to make a bit of extra dough for. If I gave you a budget of $500-600 and you had to make it all back by then where would you put your money? I am not sure if the LotR sets will appreciate that quickly. But hey that's the question. I am leaning toward a bunch of Mines of Morias, but want your opinions.

I was bored and ran across this post in the brickset forums (what is the best LEGO set of all time?): http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/13335/what-is-the-best-lego-set-of-all-time#latest The Death Star, Millenium Falcon, and Haunted House were mentioned quite a bit, which didn't surprise me too much, since these are all large LEGO exclusive sets. The one set that was mentioned just as much as these 3 sets that did surprise me though was The Unexpected Gathering. I mean, I personally like this little build myself, but to be mentioned amongst the other big name sets as the best set of all time? That's interesting. I just thought I would post thi…

For you powersellers out there, do you have any suggestions or advice when it comes to selling over the Holiday Season(Nov-Dec?) for when prices should be raised to meet the demand of the last minute shopper? As an example have you experienced a period where you can raise your prices 10-20% more than normal because it's the second week of December and people are rushing to shop? I'm just trying to maximize my selling this holiday season and I've never sold enough to see the trends of the best time to raise prices to get the most out of what I own. Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I found a zombie 9465 at a garage sale for $7, but it was missing the first bag. I bought all the pieces from lego.com, but still need 4 pieces. Where is the best/safest place to buy these remaining pieces? Thanks.

Ok so here is my problem, I have 1 Haunted House and really want to open it but have told myself not to do it until I get another one to keep sealed. I'm wondering how long this set is scheduled to be around? Other similar priced items that are on my need list include: Arkham, r2-d2, UCS Xwing, Grand Emporium & Tower of Orthanc. Just wondeirng which ones are expected to be on their way out so I be sure to get them....Or am I just better off saying to hell with that and buy another Haunted House?

I used to rely on Google shopping to give me the best idea of who was selling a set and for how much or to find the best price on a set. NOw GS has been overrun with poor data and bogus Chinese sets. Anyone have a price comparison site that gives the best data?

Inspired by Brickset, what was your favourite theme of they year? You can vote once and it should be based on the quality of sets RELEASED this year in that theme and not on how older sets are doing investment wise.

I assume this has been covered before but my quick search didn't result in anything useful. For my spring break, I am hoping to organize my sets. Right now they are just randomly put on shelves. I have an open shelf, I get a new set, that set goes on that open shelf. So I was wondering what is the best way to organize sets? Do most go by theme? Box size? I want to basically get everything organized and more streamlined.

Thought this would be an appropriate topic to discuss in this forum. Just wanted to post some options we have when we decide to sell. As for my experience, I have never sold a lego set but have sold various other collectables. Here is a quick summary off the top of my head. Feel free to add your opinions, comments, and pros and cons. Ebay Pros: most exposure, best chance to sell set Cons: Fees (now take fees out of shipping/handling plus ebay double dips with paypal fees) Craigslist Pros: free to list, cash Cons: limited exposure; most customers are looking for deals Bricklink Not really familiar with the sell…

What is the best way to ship Lego sets across the US? By best I mean best combination of shipping cost and packaging for minimal damage. Thanks! Rick
