I know this isn't exactly a local deal, but whatever, eh! Happy Canada Day! Any of you canucks got anything special planned? Personally, I'm celebrating the day with my family's signature maple syrup soaked bison recipe (jk ). I haven't noticed any Canada day sales on Lego yet.

http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-toys-games-Star-wars-lego-millenium-falcon-10179-W0QQAdIdZ498953010 There's about a fifty/fifty chance its still available, I don't have the money to put in an offer but I thought maybe a lucky Brickpicker could profit off this one! Used, 10179's value is around 1700; over double the money being asked! It's missing a few pieces and I'm not sure if its a bricklinked version, but resselling you should be able to get a decent profit. Good luck!

Hey Canadian Lego fans, I was excited to see that TRU.ca is giving away the Robin polybag 30116 with a purchase over $30 (in store only) on SuperHero sets. I have to say I've had a lot of success selling the Ghost Clocks and Coffin Cars I got the last time I grabbed sets at TRU.ca (yeah, I don't shop there often...not since last Bricktober) I did a quick scan of ebay.com and can't find this set for sale. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I'll try to grab a few tomorrow morning and flip them for $15-20. A guy can try, right? I haven't seen these anywhere else yet, so being the only seller might net a quick profit. I think 25 polybags per store, get'em wh…

You now get 70 bucks of store credit with Indigo/Chapters/Coles when you buy the NXT 2.0 ($349.99). Not the best deal, but worth mentioning since NXT 2.0 is likely retiring,, plus you can use the 70 on some of the other clearance priced items at Indigo such as the planet sets or Sith Nightspeeder. http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/kids/toys/brands/lego/

For those that can't/don't/won't go through some of the hassles of getting international deals in Canada, Walmart.ca has eight sets in stock on clearance. Nothing really to write home about, but if you are hesitant to order from Amazon.co.uk and rarely/never cross the border to get US deals, this might interest you. Most of these 'clearance' prices bring them around US MSRP.

Ok, not the deal of the year but if you're Canadian and prefer not to buy internationally for various/whatever reason...this is cheapest so far especially since it's an Target exclusive. Always wanted one for personal collection and glad I waited for a discount. I just bought 4. Retails $49.99 and now $39 plus taxes and minus 5% red card. Cool looking set any LOTR fan would love.

You know it's true..

Pretty good deal as the best you'd get it is about 184.99 from the Toys R' Us USA BOGO 50% off deal (assuming they jack it back to 229.99). http://www.costco.ca/LEGO%C2%AE-Technic-%E2%80%93-Unimog-U400.product.100029125.html

Not amazing by any means but 20% off is better than regular local retail if you want a set or two. I picked up a few Superheroes sets for my own collection (Superman/Lex/Wonderwoman + Wolverine Chopper +Spider Cycle + Arctic Batman) and at $19.99 it's not bad at all. Free delivery and no need to head out to a store. So far no damaged boxes from Future Shop/Best Buy. You might be able to price match somewhere else like Target for additional savings using Red Card or BB for their reward zone points. Haven't seen Superheroes on sale for a while in CAN...and tired of TRU raising some prices before their discounts haha. http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/category/l…

In line right now. Just got a free chrome 3po!

SSD retails $499.99, sale = $469.97 Death Star retails $499.99, sale = $469.97 R2D2 retails $229.99, sale = $202.37 Nothing too special as I was hoping for actual 20% off...but if you really wanted one (without buying/going to the US), this is the cheapest I've seen in a while for these larger sets. Saving around $30. I would have jumped on the DS if it was $399 (normal US retail). I didn't buy any myself/holding out for better deals but might pick up some ATRT $19.99 and Droid Escape $20.97.

Friday always seems to be an expensive day! Credit card regularly gets a workout before the weekend Haven't seen any clearance deals on Monsters in my local area yet so thought 20% off is good enough to order 6 Haunted Houses. Harder to find than VC and other smaller sets (excluding Zombies of course). Hope this set retires really soon...Sept/Oct should be a decent indicator on the investment potential.

With the new big box retailer Target just about to put its footprint into Canada, the question is up?! Will these stores have Lego sets for sale and will the famous variety/discounts/price matching be available to us? Or it is going to be the same $%*ty selection/pricing here in Canada than Walmart and the others have...?!

20% of certain sets + 15% bonus (tax free event) if you use promo code 941612861. Decent sets to consider at 35% off include: LOTR Weathertop, SW Jabba, Gungan Sub, Battle Packs. I picked up a few...not too common seeing sales 35% off/clearance in CAN so I stocked up. Easy returns if buyers remorse sets in or find cheaper later. http://www.sears.ca/homepage

Good time to use Plum Points sitting there and if there's a set you really want. Their exclusive 30243 Star Wars Mini Umbaran MHC polybag ($3.96) is included in this deal. Free shipping over $25. http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/kids/star-wars/?ref=shop:home:home-main:star-wars-zipbin:ps2
