I really tried to watch The Clone Wars since the beginning but it only p!ssed me off even more by reminding me of movies I (TPM) & II (AOTC). I also found the stories lame. Ugh... (note: I'm an original trilogy fan. however, I did enjoy III (ROTS) to an extent (pretty much the final 30 mins) and that Darth Plagueis novel fronm cover to cover.) Anyway, I watched the last 4 episodes of The Clone Wars Season 6 on Netflix. AWESOME! The last 3 episodes was the Yoda storyline while the other was about Jedi master Sifo Dyas. Again, AWESOME. Why? The storylines tied into the movies (especially the Yoda arch). Now I know why Dave Filoni and others really …

Anyone experiencing any shipping delays. I have been waiting on a couple of packages from individuals and it is taking longer then usual. The recipient of one of my trades has already received his portion of the trade and I have yet 2 receive mine. Same with a couple of other purchases. I hate waiting.

Hi! Most of my Lego sets come from Target, Walmart, or the older sets, from ebay. This May, Lego is introducing a new version of the Star Wars X-Wing Fighter. According to the Lego site, the MSRP for this will be $199.00 Some ebay vendors are actually pre-selling it at $249.00? Now comes the question. I obviously want this new model, but do I pay the MSRP of $199.00, thereby getting it quickly (it is to be a Christmas present for my grandson), or do I wait a while and hope for a sale at Target, Walmart, etc. What has been your experience when Lego introduces a new model? This will actually be the first time that I care about such an event? Grandpa

Ha! Lego really is the answer to the world's important engineering problems. http://online.wsj.com/articles/keurigs-new-coffee-brewer-is-test-for-ceo-1408658445 Now, can it help us get around the DRM on these K-cups?

Ed and I received an e-mail today from Josh at FutureAdvisor.com about getting some of our more creative LEGO builders here to build a better piggy bank. Here is the actual e-mail we received from him. If some of you are looking for a few extra bucks and think you design something that can win, it may be worth your time. I was wondering if you'd be interested in giving us a post to help promote our contest. We're offering over $2000 in prizes for a new and novel take on the old fashioned piggy bank. Naturally, we want the most creative entries possible, so we're reaching out to the Lego community since they have some of the most creative people. You can check out the …

I just noticed that some credit cards, at least my Discover card, offers price protection. Basically it's like a price match, but for up to 90 days after you purchase something. The credit card then reimburses you for the money, as long as the entire purchase for that item was put on your credit card. I will paste in Discover's explanation here: If you find a lower price on a recently purchased item at any store within 90 days of purchasing the item with your Discover card, you are automatically eligible for a reimbursement of the price difference up to $500. Do I have to pay a fee for Price Protection? No. However, the entire cost of the qualifying pu…

Let me open by saying that this is not really about investing, so I'll save your time if that is what you clicked for! I've already described my trading business in depth, but I'll give a quickish overview. Years ago I bought two Ziploc bags of old Lego for $4 from some girls I knew, and began trading it (along with pieces from my earliest sets) to friends. I went after Star Wars almost exclusively, but picked up odd pieces along the way. Over the years, I've made a ton of good deals, and grown my collection without trading a SINGLE minifigure from a set I received or bought new. I have about 300 or so figs, maybe 3/5 of which I got through trading. Now many of …

Anyone got em? At heart I'm a punk rock kid with tattoos. With that said, does anyone think ed or Jeff would pay me to add on with a brickpicker tattoo? Free advertising for life. This is a 75 percent serious question. I will likely have a lego tattoo soon.

If it is true I will buy as many as I can and just take the ones I got from Costco Back for $80 .The Statement below is from the Transformer sites not by me. On another note.... hot rumor for Wal-Mart on Black Friday..... supposedly they will have Metroplex at $58.88! This unconfirmed but I have read it and heard it from a few people/sources now.

I am guessing a few people on here are big fans of the Harry Potter books, so in case anyone hasn't heard it, JK Rowling published a book under a pseudo name, Robert Galbraith. http://www.amazon.com/The-Cuckoos-Calling-Robert-Galbraith/dp/0316206849/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373980865&sr=8-1&keywords=the+cuckoo%27s+calling In other news, I'm thinking of writing a book, and having my fake name be John Killian Rowling (JK Rowling)

Not sure when and where the term EOL began, but for some reason it just doesn't sound as good as just saying a set is or has been retired. Saying "that set is EOL" doesn't even sound like proper English(that set is end of line). Can't we just say it's been retired? Anyone else feel the same?

Do you know if any structural damage happens to Lego bricks if exposed to something like -11 F temperatures (-24 Celcius)? Any chance they become brittle?

I saw this topic on Eurobricks and I thought it would interesting to ask it on here. Below is the original post by Bonaparte of Eurobricks.com. Here is the link to the quote/topic below on Eurobricks.com. (In the last question I changed Eurobricks to Brickpicker and I removed "regulator (indexing, ...)" since we don't have that here on Brickpicker. I then added "writing blog articles" instead. I also bolded and underlined some words.) If anybody thinks a poll would be better please let me know so I can add it. Recently Hispabrick Magazine interviewed Jan Beyer, LEGO Community, Engagement and Events Team, in which Jan stated following:
