Hi All, Newbie here. Returned to Lego after 20 years in the dark thanks to a 3 year old son. Seem to have started a small investment collection over recent weeks. Keeping it reasonably sensible with interesting kits that are on sale and that I think will appreciate. And for all if they don't appreciate much then there will be one for me and him to build and a few to sell back at RRP If he knew what was in the loft he'd be too excited! Gutted to remember after talking to my Mum that I sold my huge Lego collection when I was about 16 to fund computer games and mountain bike parts

Hi All! I just started getting into this after finding some Carbon Freezing Chamber sets at Walmart a week before they were released and figured out I could make some money and enjoy collecting at the same time. Then, I sold a bricklinked USC Falcon on eBay, which really put me in the black. Now, I'm searching for deals and buying up sets! Meanwhile, I'll open up a set every now and then and build for the pure enjoyment of it. Building LEGO was my favorite pastime as a kid. But I had to make my OWN X-Wing. When they released Star Wars LEGO sets, I thought... if only these existed, I would have had a complete childhood... My ultimate goal as a collect…

Hi everyone from a dad in sunny southern California. I'm here because my two toddlers are currently going through the duplo to Lego transition. Since I was a carpet crawler, these bricks have become even more costly. I'm going to do research for good values and great ways to get them in l Legos. I also want to put them in the Lego robot league of FIRST.

Hey everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Just started getting into the Lego collecting/investing but have been into Legos in general for a long time. Never really saw Legos as being an investment option but stumbled along an article awhile ago that then pointed me to this site and have been hooked ever since. Hope to meet and get to know more people in this community and learning more about the investing side of things.

Hi fellow Lego enthusiasts! My name is Travis I'm from Western Australia and I have played with Lego since I was 2, both my kids play with Lego even my dog plays with Lego.. Im also working on an escalator (which is proving difficult) All of my mocs use the power function motors and I'm trying to find out if anyone has been able to use the mindstorm ev3…

Hello everyone, I have been a member for a few months now, just mostly reading posts, and playing in the piles of info here. I guess its time to introduce myself. My name is Brad aka Studville and I have enjoyed lego for decades now. Now im all grown up with lego loving kids of my own and much deeper pockets for plastic playsets. My niche is bulk lots. We find em, buy em, and sort em after dinner. We try to ressurect them back to as close to 100% as possible, then put em up for sale, maybe after playing with them for a bit. All in all its a fun hobby that hopefully teaches them some business skills. --Studville

I just now visited this site while trying to price a set I want to sell. Trouble is, I don't have the box for the set. I need another column in the price guide for people like me who threw out the box after building the set (who knew?). I build furnished buildings. Therefore I am out of room to display sets that aren't buildings, like R2D2, Grand Carousel, Eiffel Tower, etc. BUT - no boxes, so I can't get a reasonable price from looking at the guide. Any calculation I can do?

instead of having tons of new topics (one of each new member) I thought about having one specifically for my low representation region/continent (also because I'd like to know who else is down here in the South) now about myself: * male * born 1974 * father of two daugthers * knew Lego when I was a kid: at xmas we (two boys and a girl) would get a classic space (remember the rocket base and a ship) or medieval set (castle and such), during the year possibly smaller sets with couple minifigs and small build item * daugthers were born and a few years ago bought some random Star Wars sets: ARC Starfigther and Imperial V-Wing (as a gift for them …

Been a lurker here for the last year or so since I rediscovered my love for Lego. My wife got me the 75015 Droid Tank out of the blue one day, and it was sitting in its box collecting dust on my bookshelf. I looked at it one day thought might as well build it. Well now almost $4k later here I am!

Hey everyone! So... I generally live in Cancun, grew up in Miami, have a longtime gf studying her PhD in Portugal, have lived in Montreal, and have a brother at UBC in Vancouver I've been wanting/meaning to get by brickfolio updated as I think it's an awesome idea, but just musing about the internet watching youtube videos made me want to start a 'wishlist' for sets on here. I then realized that I can't seem to find this function anywhere. Does it exist? If so, it'd be great to be able to click + add sets when searching for their value. Anyway, hope to be a bit more active in the community. Only ever wanted Lego sets as a kid, and no…

Hello everyone. I initially came across this site about a year ago as I started diving deeper into Lego. Now I'm here to get advice on Lego as investments. It's Double VIP Points as I post this, and it's a good time to stock up on some sets, and in fact I've already purchased a few. I'm hoping to learn from the pros, and eventually share what I learn. Like most of you, I actually like Lego. I spent years resisting / denying myself, on the outside looking in, but I finally gave in a couple of years ago, and now I find myself helplessly pining for the larger sets. I've already purchased, and plan to hold, some near EOL sets, such as Tower Bridge, Parisi…

Hi all just saying hello aim old enought to no better but still don't. iam a collector rarther than a seller as can't bring my self to part with the hundreds of tiny coloured bricks I got back into lego after my wife had mentioned that they had a team building day at work :-) then both my sons had said how much they still collect and build lego. I looked at it as back in the day when a family sat down at dining with a jigsaw. My thoughts are what better time spent as a family building A 3D jigsaw eg a LEGO set built into model. Now addicted to minifiguers and making display case's from ikia picture frames with tile backing to fit minifigure base's to. A questi…
