you can now send off your used amazon boxes to Goodwill after printing free shipping label. pretty cool. I'm sure none of us have amazon boxes lying around though http://www.kiro7.com/news/trending-now/amazon-goodwill-team-up-to-use-empty-shipping-boxes/477487544

So i was on Ebay and I was looking at an indiana jones the temple of doom set 7199 (99% complete no minifigs). it the auction was ending soon and had about a minute left. the current price was $19 so i figured i'll throw in something and see what happens. So on my phone i put in $21.09. But thanks to my LG phone or the ebay ap or maybe only slightly user error the "." did not take so my highest bid was $2109. I had to do a double take and I was like how can i stop this please NO ONE bid! Can i cancel? Oh man my wife is going to freak out that i bought a $2k lego set. as the seconds were counting down no bids but the last 10 seconds always have snipers. 5 seconds left boom…

Hi, I am relatively new to Lego re-selling. Over about a decade I have amassed a collection of mini figures which I intend to sell for a decent price. If it works so, the money I receive will be re-invested into Lego which I can once again sell and expand my inventory. Do you recommend, for a beginner, I begin an e-store or go straight to auction sites? I live in New Zealand by the way. Thanks so much to anyone who replies.

After reluctantly buying my very first Nexo Knights set (Christmas present for my son who seems to be into it), I figured others might have "Shame" purchases that they might want to fess up to. Sort of the AA thread of BP. Not to be confused with the "Buyers Remorse" thread - these are purchases you willingly made for "good" purposes. Anyways, my name is Phil B. and I purchased a 70321 General Magmar's Siege Machine of Doom from Jet.com today. The good news - I got it at 51% off using the EXTRA20 coupon after bundling it with a smaller set for my BL store.

New member here. When is a box considered Mint ? What expectations are there from both the buyer and seller ( something happens during shipping ) regarding this definition ?

I am the proud owner of a full Santa FE train, this includes 5 carriages and two engine carriages for each end, neither with boxes or instructions unfortunately :/ .I also own a smaller vintage train with a electronic engine and alot of track! I have been wondering for a while now what this would be worth and how rare these sets are! Any help would be great!!

Tomorrow marks the grand opening weekend at Westfield San Francisco. I'm a bit reluctant on the huge crowds that will be there between the kids and the AFOLs to get the cool promos. But will try to get there as early as possible. Friday - The backpack - Kind of cool. Will probably give it to my son when he gets old enough. Saturday - The mini retail store - That will be the hot promo. Extremely rare and in a limited number. I hope I can get one. It has a huge amount of collectibility/coolness. Sunday - Mini figs - Not as high on my list, but if I'm in the area, I may check them out. 10 a.m. tomorrow morning starts an interesting weekend.

Anyone else planning to be at the opening of the new Leicester Square shop tomorrow? Doors open at 12:00 Possibly even try for a meet-up after people have grabbed the things they came for just to see who managed to get the Lester minifig rather than a parrot..

Went to a garage sale and they were selling new lego sets for really cheap. I got a rebel U-wing set never been opened and also vaders tie fighter vs a wing starfighter. I had an idea to find more garage sales like this and sell the findings I get online. The lowest listings I can find online is 53.00 +10.00 shipping(ebay) for the first and 56.79 +free shipping (walmart) for the second. Should I sell these on bricklink, ebay, or another form of storefront or if anyone here is interested let me know where you would like me list them, and if someone wants to negotiate a price I was thinking in the ballpark of 40.00 with 10 shipping. I don't really know how much l…

we have a retiring soon speculation thread, the actual retiring thread, but there is no "why won't this set die!!!" thread I have 4 girls, so started early foolish time investing with the Friends line. can I include the entire friends line as well as the princess stuff ( see DC and Cindy castle)? I still see series 3 mixels and series 12 minifigures everywhere the minecraft microworlds I thought would die last xmas, but the forest and end keep their never ending supply going. besides the usual suspects (TB and DS) what haunts you?

Don't know how many of you all like eBooks then if you do you may or may not like them on Lego's but get a whole bunch (legally) from $1 or 16 of them for $15. Plus your purchase partially gets donated! https://www.humblebundle.com/books/lego-book-bundle

Ok, so it looks as though I've been stiffed on a Taj Mahal through delcampe.net. In short, bought last Saturday, on Sunday had a re fund being processed, had an email today saying its failed. Had tried emailing the seller through delcampe and PayPal (both different email) and directly through both sites but no response. The delcampe email no longer exists and their store is now empty. So...........anyone had any luck in getting their money back? And to add insult to injury, just did a search for the image and it popped up on some Hong Kong Pinterest style site!!! FFS!

This is my first holiday season as a seller. I have a few sets that I'd like to sell. Do prices rise around the holiday season? I have a friend who sells vintage video games and he said the prices soar when Amazon kicks the small timers off for the holiday season. What has your experience been? Thanks

I spoke with someone who is willing to let me sell his Lego for a cut of the profit. about 100 minifigs and some boxed sets. Anyone done this before? What is a reasonable % for me to get for selling and shipping for him?

Most of my interest is in the hard to find sets (Technic Porsche, Ghostbuster's Firehouse, Volkswagen T1, etc), but I have a really hard time finding these on sale. Is this normal? Do these sets ever go on sale like the others? I find that even at EOL they still aren't often marked down. Am I missing the deals, or do they not occur?

Subject says it all... I have a box full of 30-ish (still bagged and sealed, mostly different/there are some doubles) mini builds from the LEGO store(s). They range from 3-4 years old to a few months old. Would love some recommendations for the best way to sell as a lot. Thanks bp!

A few years ago I got me some LOTR sets from Argos in the UK. When I collected a couple had, in my opinion, been tampered with (the man who served me said that sometime people want to look in the box!). Of the two I ended up getting I've just gone to get one out to photo and have noticed the security seals at all corners have 'slipped', i.e you can see where the original glue was. The most one has moved is about 2mm longways, the others are less than 1mm. One has moved a little sideways as well, just noticeable but still 1mm or less. So....... We're these tampered with like the others were or is this something that happens over time, I can't notice on any other sets …

I came across this site today while link-hopping: https://openbazaar.org/ It bills itself as a peer-to-peer trading platform for physical goods, leveraging BitCoin (instead of paypal or fiat money in general) to "make online commerce cheaper and more free than ever before." Is this the next big thing? or a flash in the pan?

Just wanted to let everybody know that the Lego brick-filled ornaments are back in store and online. I picked up a couple sets for my Lego Christmas tree last night. Last year, the gold ones became nearly impossible to find and were changing hands for ridiculous amounts of money.

So my wife found a dream house she just has to have (who am I kidding, I love it too). In order to make it work in short order I need to raise some extra capital really quick. I just updated my Brickfolio to check the current values on the collection and need to make a decision on the best way to liquidate the inventory. So basically I need to turn sealed sets into cash in less than 30 days. How would you do it? Some basics: Current inventory is valued at $55,000 All of the sets are sealed. (We sell some sealed sets on Amazon now and have a small BrickLink parts business on the side) The sets run the gamut from battle packs up to Modulars. (We were b…

So they are having a toy/comic/cosplay convention here in Jacksonville later this month. I am going to have a vendor table and will be selling my current Lego stuff and my G.I. Joe's and Transformers from when I was a kid. I wanted to see if anyone else has done this and if they have any advices or recommendations. Also, it's the week of August 20th, should I get a Disney castle and ask like $500-$600, since it won't be available yet? Then if it doesn't sell, keep it for the inevitable Christmas shortage.

Hey folks, scanned the forums and didn't exactly find what I was looking for, so... I'm going to be selling a few sets and wanted to get a sense of what the best option is. I've used eBay for a loooong time with no issues and like it except for the $$ cut eBay takes. On some of the higher ticket items I'll be selling, that percentage comes up to quite a bit. Is local Craigslist or another online option a better choice for selling? Thanks for your time.
