Shop at Home Store Calendar and offers - September 2013

These will both sell well.  The Clone will be very much on people's wanted list since they build Clone armies and will want this rank of soldier.  I will be selling any that I get as I plan on spending in September.  The van is really cool.  More of a niche polybag, but anybody that has the Camper will want the mini as well.

I already have 1 and would like to add some more but I have some other sets in my priority queue right now.

I'd go with the Gungan Sub or even the Millennium Falcon to get both polybags but there's a big difference between their LEGO Shop at Home prices and Amazon.es's prices.

I'm not sure but IIRC this year they have all been the same.

One difference, the currency units you have to spend to get them. I'm hoping that September's polybags will be "cheaper" for us EU buyers.

US LEGO Shop at Home shoppers have to lay out $50 for the SW polybag and $70 for the miniwagon. I hope it gets toned down for the EU LEGO Shop at Home sites.

Great, thanks!  Do they give you some kind of credit or raincheck if they don't have the bags in stock?

They'll just give you a Hoth Han that was leftover since it was such a piece of crap. :thumbsup:   I think it's rare that they run out, but if they do, I believe they give you an alternate that they do have in stock.   Since I'm 3 hours from the nearest store, it's never been an issue.

I was at the LEGO store in Downtown Disney on August 13th.  Been there a few times this month looking for the Crawler or BTTF or going to Disneyland.  I usually by a $3.48 Friends set just to get the free polybag.  The cashier said they were out of the poly's (I am sure that store gets more traffic then most) and didn't offer up a replacement.  I said that it was okay, but I am not going to buy the Friends set cause I just wanted that Ice Cream Stand.  I am sure I could have pushed it and gotten a replacement, but I felt chincy as it was.

  • 2 weeks later...

So I'm going to revive this thread since it is close to September. What are your plans on what to buy to maximize the promos for the least amount of money spent?

If you can get two minecraft sets and a small star wars set battlepack - $83 plus tax

Minecraft sells for $50 on Ebay

Part out minifigs from battlepack

Sell VW and Clone Fig

Conservative:

Minecraft x2 = $100

Battlepack figs = $12

VW = $15

Clonefig = $15

total = $142 - 13% fees on Ebay/Paypal and $15 conservative shipping = $108

So $25 bucks return on an $83 investment within a week or so. Anyone like that?
