What Lego set did you buy today?

Recommended Posts

Harry Potter sets off Craigslist.

Diagon Alley 10217
Hogwarts Express 4841
Hogwarts Castle 4842
The Burrow 4840
Forbidden Forest 4865
Hagrid's Hut 4738
Quidditch Match 4737

No instructions, and I know they aren't all 100% complete (smaller accessories, I know the burrow is missing the top tower). There are a number of missing figures I'll eventually replace, but I'm happy with the deal.

I was originally going to pick up two of the more complete sets, but the person asked if I would take them all off their hands for $450. The lot calculator placed them in the upper $800 range.

So far and still ordering:

24x Star Wars 2016 advent calendars at £13.50 each

24x Friends 2016 advent calendars at £10.80 each

I now have another lock-up and aiming for 99 of each to QFLL next month - sorry!

All from a certain UK pharmacy store when you can "Fill yer Boots!"

If eBay does get flooded with them, I can hold another year or two. The SW 2014 ones are now close to £50 posted. The boots website is struggling so I stopped at 39 of each.

Wasn't 2014 the Darth Vader Santa? I think that's what's driving that particular calendar.

Yes but, I like the white Chewbacca in this one. Either way, it'll be a good flip as it's currently backordered.

20 Ewok Village at 186 each from Amazon
2 Disney Castles from LEGO Shop at Home
50 SW battle packs from Kmart, all paid for with points I've gotten over the last month or two

Trying to find some smaller sets to buy; I seem to only be picking up the big expensive ones lately. I'm just not seeing much around me in the small and mid-size sets that looks like a good price.

Some people say this thread isnt as active as before, I think most people just want to keep quiet about what current sets their buying.

So to follow their example I'll only list some "retired" items I picked up recently:

2 x 71011 Series 15 Minifigure boxes (67% off)

3 x 71012 Disney minifigure boxes @ RRP

1 x 42009 technic crane @ RRP

1 x 10240 Red 5 X-Wing @ RRP
