Is the list a few pages back consisting of the sets retiring in July complete or will there be more sets retiring?
That is probably it. July retirement lists typically aren't as long as end of year lists.

    If you go to the B&N website, type in “Lego retiring” you will see a bunch of sets. Some are already retired, but there’s quite a few not on the list a few pages back.

    Regardless, I still believe (hope) there will be some surprises.

    on this side of the pond pretty much all the LEGO LEGO Shop at Home exclusives are "temporary out of stock" which we believe mainly attributed to the Mexico plant shut down.  Hearing about a shortage of Disney Castle in the UK suggest that its scarceness is not due to the Mexico plant issue...is the big Hogwarts Castle readily available over there?

    No, Hogwarts is also out of stock.

    A number of popular sets have been jumping between being on backorder and out of stock the last few weeks which I think is likely due to demand and as you mentioned, factory closures.

    The Disney Castle does have an 'email me when back in stock' option so hopefully they will get more stock and it hasn't already retired.

    On the fence about the modular's,

    On the fence about the ideas sets,

    I guess you just have to buy whatever you can, if you can afford it. Most sets may be hard to come by at christmas time so theirs good money retired or not. Soo many good sets out there at the moment also.

    I am edging towards the disney castle over the hogwarts castle on overall profit, disney castle as we heard was meant to retire last year surely it goes this year ha or maybe not. 

    This year will be really interesting, whats your money on folks?

    I panic bought the Harry Potter Castle off Brink link at MSRP for a personal build last week. Personally, I do not believe it will retire, but I'm not taking any chances. 

    It is impossible to accurately predict what this virus will do to LEGO products and reselling in general. It is possible that buying at RRP is the new 30% off for desirable sets which may unexpectedly retire. I do believe if some of these sets do indeed retire, there will be limited numbers in most average reseller hands.

    On the flip side say LEGO ramps production on all sets before the holiday season, but or economy continues on its deflationary path. Prices would hit the floor with all the overproduced inventory.

    this is pretty much impossible...the Mexico plant is still closed and currently 2 months behind schedule (I doubt their pace in the best of times left much room for "ramping up" anyway). Every other manufacturing sector is experiencing reduced efficiency due to new health restrictions....we've already seen what happens when LEGO tries to ramp up their other factories...ie every Exclusive sets on LEGO Shop at Home is OOS.

    ...and thru it all TLG still prioritized getting brand new never heard of Monkey turds (w/ a ton of Chinese writing on box cover) out to market...so the decision makers are clearly not reading the room

    As others have said: You can't really predict. Even if you have the list, it will only help you in knowing what to buy - but which month it retires is a different story. It's pretty much safe to say the Black Friday carnage on Shop at Home last year won't repeat itself. So maybe no discounts at all as all the other retailers won't go down if LEGO sells out. And there is the possibility of sets disappearing without them producing anymore... it will say toos in June but it may be gone already...

    Nothing is impossible. LEGO sales are clearly up, and not just because of factory shutdowns restricting supply. See everyone's recent ebay/amazon sales to see real demand. You cannot say LEGO won't see this as an golden opportunity and attempt to to boost production.

    Now, are they cognoscente enough of the impending deflationary period to not overproduce once the dollars disappear? Must be some interesting discussions in their boardrooms.

    Could you give any more info or hints on what sets you are referring to as already being gone/going soon? 

    I would assume they're not on the list we already have?
