Yes, definitely.  Lego has produced a winner in this set, both for serious collectors and investors.  Perhaps they got the message after the B-wing and X-wing and felt they needed to do something more.  The Slave I is similar to the UCS Tumbler in quality it appears, but let's hope for those who actually want to buy it for their own collection, it is not handled production- and release-wise like the Tumbler.  Though, flippers would love that scenario for much of 2015.

 

I'll be up at midnight on Jan. 1 in my drunken state trying to order this one.

This is the first exclusive I will buy and build on release day.

The Slave 1 is such an ugly ship... but that Lego version is sweet. Sandcrawler or Slave 1... my wallet weeps with yours.

Slave 1 over the Sandcrawler for me. I'm still selling some of the last Slaves. The Lego Slaves are indeed so much nicer than the movie version

I just saw this live in Paris. Gorgeous. Massive. Must have. Also, I love the amount of special greens and dark red, I could buy 3 just for the bricks.

After finally seeing the scale, sometimes the model by itself isn't enough, I'll be picking this up for 'free' on January. Thanks VIP program.

I am out of space for displaying sets so depending on height of this on its stand......either the AT-ST or B-Wing will need to go

The Slave is quite large when you see it built. It's a great looking design and I'm sure will be a big seller.

I was reading the comments and a user mentioned that there is a typo on the UCS info display sticker by misspelling tractor as "tracor" which if that is true that is unfortunate. If you pause the video at 2:16 you can see what they are talking about.
