Star Wars Sets

Whether you love them or hate them, the Star Wars™ Sets are a huge success!

  1. Just when we thought we've seen it all, Star Wars gives us Old Republic sets. Is there anything Stars Wars hasn't done that you would like to see?

Hello, im thinking of selling my framed Star Wars figures, but what do you think there worth (sold in the frames) all the figures are genuine lego! 3. What do you guys think? What is the best build and what is the best investment set? Obviously this wave isn't near as good as the last one and wont be even close to the one coming later this summer, but there are some decent sets. I have almost all of them and have built the majority of those. I have to say the new ATAP looks good, but the figures are a little disappointing for the price. The droid Gunship is actually not bad. The smaller ships, the Vwing and the Jedi Interceptor, etc. are decent. I think really the Death Star Troopers, Utapau troopers, and the Grievous Wheel Bike are the best sets. My Favorite build was the Griveous Wheel Bike. I …

  4. The Lego StarWars theme is full of starfighters $45 to $55 in price range, and It seems that every time something is brought up about one a whole StarWars turf war is brought up on which one is best! I personally like the Z-95 and Old Republic Striker Class, but everybody has different opinions. I am interested in all the different views on these sets, and it seems that no matter where I go every respected StarWars collector has one, so this discussion should get very heated! My top three: 1. Z-95 Headhunter ($50) 2. Old Republic Striker Class Starfighter ($45) 3. Gold Leader's Y-Wing ($50)

  5. As we all know, Star Wars is the cornerstone of most serious LEGO enthusiasts collections. Many SW sets have soared to enormous values and have made a lot of people a lot of money. So here is my question, and this is for the veterans on the site... What Star Wars sets flopped, or became investment nightmares? Or for that matter, which ones were so terrible, ridiculous, etc. that you couldn't even bring yourself to buy them in the first place? I am fairly new to this gig. There are so many SW sets that I wouldn't even know where to begin analyzing the data for this topic.

For anyone who is wondering who is Jek-14, he has a description of the minifigure in a magazine advertising for the Yoda Chronicles that I received from the Lego Store. We also see the descriptions of all the other SW sets to be released in the Summer wave. Just so you know, there are no clone troopers with individual identities. There is a new bounty hunter that is supposed to be hunting down Jek-14 and a Special Forces Clone Trooper who is the blue guy we saw a little while ago. The Red Clone Trooper in the 75021 Republic Gunship is not Commander Fox. Just a Clone Captain. We have a 2 new jedi: Coleman Trebor and Stass Allie. Poggle the Lesser is in the 75017 Due…

  8. Of all the different characters throughout the original trilogy of Star Wars, Who was the most pivotal character? You may want to think about it for a bit, the answer may surprise you! There is no prize if you guess correctly. Maybe the title of Ultimate Star Wars Fan or something. I don't know. Just having some fun here.

  10. One of my local toy stores has it in stock and it has been on my mind lately. Been hesitant about it but now that I've seen that it's not on the Lego LEGO Shop at Home site and it's value on amazon/ebay is increasing I was wondering if it'd join 7676 - Republic Attack Gunship as a set with a decent CAGR.

  11. Here is a quote from a previous thread. Should investors sell their Clone Wars baggage before the release of the new movies, or will returns just depend on the specific sets invested in? I can definately see the older CW sets holding their value, but most of the newer ones are less iconic, and should be readily available at relatively low prices for quite some time because of the hightened awareness of Lego investing, and the influx of new investors.

  12. It released I think in 2007. I was on a break from Legos then and missed it. We are getting an update of Obi won's Jedi star fighter(75135) this year without the boost and got Anakin's(75038) the last couple years without the boost. Why hey are they not doing the hyperdrive boost again? Did it not sell well? It seems to command a good price in the aftermarket.

Thoughts here for both investing and collecting... I have a 8129 I picked up a couple of years ago. Box is not perfect, has some creasing, but nice seals, etc. This set has shot up quite a bit into the $250 range on eBay. (I got it for $90 or so I think) Local baseball card store near me has a 4483, listed for $199. The box is a bit worn, and has a popped seal on the side. I guess all pieces/bags are unopened though. I can probably talk him down to $175, if not maybe a bit lower (if I buy the Vampyre Castle he has for $80 as well). Soooo....better long term investment? The popped seal dings the set a bit, doesn't it? 4483 has less minifigs, but 200 more pieces an…

Anyone a fan of Yoda Chronicles. I haven't stopped laughing especially at Lando. I think it just feeds the Lego Star Wars sets. My kids love the Lego cartoons and I have to admit "like them I do"

  17. Hi all, I apologize if this is in the wrong place but I thought the best place to put it was in the Star Wars thread! I'm sure many of you recall back in 2013 the release of the exclusive "NY, I Heart" Yoda at Times Square in 2013. Originally limited to 1000 pieces, recently quite a few unbagged examples began appearing on eBay from one particular seller at a price somewhat below their typical resell value ($85USD). I ended up purchasing one and initially was frustrated as it appeared to have been a fairly good attempt at a knockoff. However, after contacting the seller, I discovered he purchased them directly from Lego. He claimed that they were seconds that never m…

  18. Has anyone gone and picked this up at the Times Square TRU yet? Buy the X-Wing at an overpriced $75 and receive the Yoda minifigure that was previously only in the Toy Fair set from earlier in the year. People have him listed for $200+ on ebay right now. I would expect it to come down a bit, but still well worth the effort if you're in the area.

If you had to choose SW battle packs which do you think should appreciate the most? I got 6x 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack for 9.50$ 2x 7913 Clone Trooper Battle Pack for 12.50$ I think 7914 Mandalorian Battle Pack will appreciate alot since not alot bought it and price was steep for a battle pack in my country and everywhere around.
