Star Wars Sets

Whether you love them or hate them, the Star Wars™ Sets are a huge success!

I've noticed on Facebook that one of the fake Lego rip offs is now selling a UCS medical friggate. Do they know something we don't and do we reckon an official Lego one is incoming?

Curious to why people think the Falcon is still available on some sites at the original price after being available for so long and why they keep pushing its retirement date back. Is it not selling as well being so big and expensive ?

  3. The latest price guide update is still running (actually has a while to go). I always pick a few sets to go through and look at the data manually and run it ahead of time to see how the crawlers did. The price guide update will include all of May as well as June listings up to June 23rd. This will at least catch us up and get some of you a little more current than we were. I will update the other days next week sometime when the rest of June is available. Anyhow, the #10179 actually it the $4,000 mark last month and is still holding for June as well. I guess this could be because the latest version of the the Falcon is not a UCS killer. I also see that the SSD is …

  4. Hi all, Thank you all for adding me to the sight. So I am new to this, but I am working on picking up the UCS models. I want to start with one of each NIB and then a used one to rebuild. I’ve done a couple of the builds and they are good fun for the family. We are enjoying them and want to get into some of the MOCs as well. So here is my question, as a collector of anything the first thing one wants to find out is how many where made and how long were they produced? Does the information exist and where can I find it? For now I am just interested ins the UCS models. Thank you for your help and Happy Holidays. Cheers, Andrew

I see that a few of the sets I currently own are listed as UCS sets by some, but I see no evidence supporting this assertion. 10188 and 10195 Anyone have any confirmation that these are actually UCS sets?

I have the chance to get a few Star Wars UCS sets including the heavily sought after MF. The asking price is 3400 for all but they said they are flexible, what are your thoughts? I have never bought anything that was EOL, just not sure how much more they will increase. Here is their discription: 10019 Rebel Blockade Runner - 1747 parts. Released in 2001. 100% complete with original instructions but no box. Stickers are neatly applied and in very good condition. Set was displayed for a brief time and may have light dust on some elements. Elements are in very good condition. 10026 Naboo Starfighter - 187 parts. Released in 2002. 100% complete with original instru…

Hi Guys/Gals, I'm not sure if this is the right sub-forum to post this but my wife is going to be in London next week on business and I was just wondering if the three Series 4 Planet sets and the Hoth board game set can still be found at local retail. (Harrod's? Lego brand stores? etc.) I noticed all those items are listed as sold out on the UK LEGO Shop at Home page, but I'm just hoping maybe there's a chance she can pick any of these up for me while there. (A single copy of each for my own collection. We never got these in north america.) Please let me know if you think these can be found, and where best to look. I'm not exactly where in Lo…

  9. Just snapped a pic.......don't think these are supposed to be on shelves yet are they?

  10. So I've come across a guy with a decent amount of older SW sets, all are used some are complete but many are missing 1 or 2 pieces or a minifig or two. Investing aside, theres some sets here that I've really wanted to build for myself and this guy is asking on average about 20-40% less than the brickpicker value of the sets used. In some cases, it seems like a fair deal. The question is what to get? I really shouldn't be spending money on personal sets again but this kind of opportunity doesn't come around too often. Anyway, there are two gems for me here: a complete Imperial star destroyer for 120 and a Jawa Sandcrawler 10144 for 150, but the problem with th…

  11. We would like to sell a unique Lego Star Wars Display Assembled Set (follow the link below). The set includes 7964 Republic Frigate and 7959 Geonosian Starfighter. With sound and light. How to evaluate the value of the set as it has no lego reference number and no retail price (not commercialised). Thanks for your help. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?G=SWCWAM1#T=S&O=

I went to New York city on a family trip and down there they have prices that are cheaper ( I live in Canada), and at the Rockefeller center they have a Lego store which was a pretty big win for me. So I walked down there and located the Death Star sitting on a shelf ,no price tag on it by the way, then picked up the box and walked over to the checkout. I paid for the set like any other normal person would then I walked out of the store. It was then that I realized something was wrong. I looked at the receipt and saw that the Death Star was priced at $439.99 + tax which came to about $480!!!!! I couldn't believe it I had just looked on the US Lego website a couple of days…

This minifig was all the rage because it was supposedly a SDCC exclusive........turns out I guess it wasn't. I don't know if people who were selling them were mis representing it or what but it was going for over 100 bucks during and after SDCC 10 (or maybe it was 11) anyways now its a promo item, who knows what happened with this mess.

Lego only made two of these sets: the Imperial Star Destroyer and Millenium Falcon. Did they cut the line because of low sales or what. These sets haven't appreciated well historically, but they are making a comeback. Would anyone want to see the line renewed?

  15. I am gathering a small pile of small pieces found over the years in my office where i display much of my collection. I found another small piece this morning after moving the UCS death star and a few midi ships i have in the same area. I was debating about digging into storage boxes and going page by page but decided that is going to be very time consuming since I don't know if the piece is from those recently moved or something else recently built in the office. What do you do when you find a piece on the floor?

Ok so I'm seeing those smallish star wars sets in TRU like 9678 and for the world of me I cannot figure out what is the function and purpose of this differently colored orbs, spheres whatever they are. Is this a x-mas tree ornament? I can't figure out the purpose of it. Can anyone enlighten me. Thanks.

  17. I figured we need a place for everyone to list what the plan to spend on in the next few months with the season of double points and specials based on what we know is going to be available as of now. I will start but I am not sure which I will buy on the double VIP offer over March 12-14 at the lego store or wait until May 4th assuming I need to spend $50 or $75 dollars to get the annual freebie set. UCS AT-AT ($800) Dark Troopers Attack ($30) Hoth AT-ST ($50) Hoth Imperial Trooper battle pack ($20) Boba's Place set (although if I find this at Costco first, I will save the 20%) ($100 @ lego online store) Mando's N-1 Starfighter ($60) No…

  18. I see staggering potential in this theme. LEGO has spent years rehashing crappy old idea's, and now something new is here. The sets already released are great in my opinion, but there are so many other great idea's in this theme. I don't play the game, and it is very old, but lots of the designs are great, and would be a relief from the monotany of remakes. The only downside I can see is that the game is pretty old, and with the shutting down of the Lucas Arts game division, there is little chance for a new one. I have all of the OR sets to date, and I'm going to get the Jedi Defender - class Cruiser when it comes out. I really like these sets, the minifigures are g…

So star wars has hit the shelves with another batch of remakes, GGWB would have been ok but there is no Boga! So many of these star wars sets are duds that will never make any decent return, so why do people invest in them so much?

Anyone have any guesses of which Lego Star Wars sets are going EOL soon? I am looking at the Millennium Falcon 7965 and Super Star Destroyer 10221 in particular.

  24. I was writing an article about some of the new Star Wars sets last night and was mentioning this one. I can not for the life of me find a set that really compares to it. It is like a playset, but not a ship. It's open world - like several sets put together. The only thing I could come up with that remotely compared was the Death Star 10188. Any ideas?

I know that remakes are the bane of Star Wars collectors/ However I was thinking of what sets are long overdue for being issued again. Here's what I could think of within a few minutes: TIE Interceptor Rebel Blockade Runner Cloud City TIE Defender Zam Wessel's Speeder/Anakin's Speeder Jango Fett's Slave I TIE Bomber As I think of it, this topic will probably also include things that have never been made, so here's a few of those: ANH: Lars Moisture Farm Bantha Rebel Command Center ESB: Rebel Transport Nebulon B Frigate TPM: Naboo Royal Starship Droid Control Ship RO: Imperial cargo ship …
