I meant to post about the sudden disappearance of the CUUSOO - "Space Marines" project yesterday, but it slipped my mind. (Blame it on 'the most annoying thing in the world', heh.) Just yesterday, the "Space Marines" project was taken down because of 'another' company (LEGO never actually said but we all know it was Games Workshop) because the name infringed on one of their trademarks. (Space Marines from Warhammer 40,000 no doubt.) However, LEGO did agree to put the project back online if NickRoyer (the creator) agreed to rename it. So "Space Marines" is now "Space Troopers". After a little digging into Alex Jones' flickr gallery, I came across this beauty. An Ultimate Collector Series build of the Delorean from Back to the Future Part II! I mean absolutely no disrespect to the Delorean on CUUSOO that passed review because that build is a nice one. It really is, specially for minifigures. But seriously, this model leaves that little one in the dust! And besides, if this was the one on CUUSOO that did pass, it would be a winner on so many levels!! 1.) Sorry just had to get that out over what transpired last night with that stupid minecraft set!!!! I fell asleep not 10 minutes before Aaron posted that they were available on Amazon. I knew there was something up this morning when I checked my notifications and there were 140 new posts overnight! Anyways I'm just pouting, glad you guys got your hands on one! I can't be the only person that has submitted a project only to have Lego respond a week later saying they are not going to post it to Lego ideas because of the theme. I've also heard that at some point, the Dr. Who theme was blocked and then the ban was lifted and a flood of ideas came pouring in, a few days later they had a 10Ker and now its a set. So I'm also interested in knowing which bans have been lifted and where do you find out when this lifting happens. If we get a list going, it would be a nice reference to check before starting a new project that would be stopped instantly by the submission process. Current list of banned themes: Futurama…
