Heads up! There is a new sidekick coming out to some stores featuring exclusive polybags. The sidekick is not supposed to go out for another 6 weeks but in case your store puts it out sooner here's what it looks like. At the top are 30400 and 30401 in case the glare makes it hard to read.

My wife and I just dropped off the kids for their first day at school and now we have some free time. We want to get new phones. We are not tech geeks and know very little about all of the new gadgets and gizmos now available. We have had our current phones for at least three years now, maybe longer. I want a new smart phone that will enable me to surf the web, send/receive text msg, and most importantly, use that really cool Walmart app that a lot of members use to check store inventories, get specific prices by store, and to scan items. Can somebody who has and uses this app please point us in the right direction as to what to ask for when we go to the AT&T st…

Went to good ole Wal-Mart yesterday and saw an employee boxing up all the clearance toys. I saw her packing away tons of toys and rolling them to the back. I stopped and asked her what they will do with them and she said they were told to box up the clearance to make room for Christmas merchandise. She told me they will eventually bring them back out later. I wonder how many old sets are sitting back there. I knew by using the Wal-Mart app on my phone that several sets were showing in stock but no where to be found. Hope they bring them back out at lower prices and not ship them back or something. Wal-Mart doesn't have a huge storage area in the back, so I do not th…

I've been hitting the Wal-Mart clearance sales this week and this sale is definitely considered YMMV. Here's what I picked up so far. I've purchased everything at basically 50% - 66% off, except for the Millenium Falcons, SW Melevolence, and the MF Ghost Train which were 30% off and the Millenium Falcons were already marked down $20. Creative Building Kit (5749) - $9.50 reg. $15.00 Black Friday - 20 - Series 8 minifigures - $20.00 reg. $2.97 - $3.47 each 41 - Series 5 minifigures - $41.00 reg. $2.97 - $3.47 each 7 - SW Clone Trooper Battle Pack (79143) - $6.00 reg. $12.97 7 - SW Mandalorian Battle Pack (7914) - $6.00 reg. $12.97 Alien Conquest UFO Abduction (705…

Thought it would be nice to track all this in one place. Anyone going to be there first thing when they open? Anyone know when they actually open? I'm hoping to score some LR Trains, Jabbas Palace, Unexpected gatherings (I don't know that any of these are going to be on clearance, just hoping) and basically anything else on clearance. Ill post updates of what I see at the different stores in my area tomorrow, I encourage others to do the same Edit: I realized I probably should have put walmart in the title, this is posted in the walmart section though

I figure this deserves it's own post. If you look at the red clearance tag on the shelf, it shows when the clearance began. In the case of my Walmart, it began 8/2, or last Friday. When you guys go to your walmart next time, see if it is consistent. Maybe they mark things down further on Fridays?

I went on a shopping rampage and could use some advice. I probably pulled the trigger on a lot of these sets when most of you guys wouldn't have, and a lot could be losers. I was also thinking of parting out some of them. I can still return them so. There's a lot to look at here... Any way any advice would be appreciated, Thanks.

Walmart to start offering discount incentives if you choose ship to store over free ship to home option. Excludes items carried in-store, but that still leaves a lot of LEGO options. Starts to roll out in a week and should be going strong in June. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/walmart-kind-discount-impossible-amazon-040100655.html Let's see what this does with something big like the Bucket Wheel Excavator...

Walmart has some bundles with the Hobbit Riddle for the Ring set (79000) for $9.97 You can add any of the following item to make a bundle 1. LEGO Hobbit An Unexpected Gathering Play Set adds $60 2. LEGO Lord of the Rings Attack on Weathertop Play Set adds $32 3. LEGO Hobbit Attack of the Wargs Play Set adds $28 4. LEGO Hobbit Escape from Mirkwood Spiders Play Set adds $12 5. LEGO Hobbit The Goblin King Battle Play Set $65 Number 1 isn't such a great deal but the others are pretty good deals and I expect the $10 79000 set to be sold out and double in price relatively soon like most small sets. It is already gone from my local TRU st…

Hi guys, I noticed a few of my local Walmart stores showed online availability for some high demand Lego items (i.e. 9574-1), but when I visited the store they had none on the shelves...They were in store lay-away! Walmart starts their Christmas Layaway on 9/14 this year and all items must be paid for by 12/14...I would bet you'll see some high demand items going back on the shelves by tomorrow morning

The Walmart Lego section in my town is pathetic. I'm talking 8x10 at the most. Just 20 miles away at a Walmart there is an outstanding collection. Both are large stores. Do the store managers control this?

As eluded to yesterday on the DD and based on some research, it looks like Walmart.com decided to blend their marketplace with their regular website and allow 3P sellers to have the "Buy box" on an item if Walmart is OOS. I did reach out to Walmart inquiring about eligibility, fees and the like more out of curiosity than anything else . So far , for me anyways, this looks like it in in its infancy with more questions than answers. ToyWiz looks to be the new Lego Sheriff in this new Wild West Fronteer , heck their return policy alone is astounding in this day and age. We shall see where this leads.

I have been trying to place some Walmart.com orders here and there for the past 10 days. Each time: 1. The order goes through at the website and I get an initial confirmation email from Walmart. 2. My bank or PayPal authorize the charges (but the money isn't removed from my accounts since the orders aren't full processed by wm.com yet). 3. And then I get a payment error email from Walmart.com telling me that the order failed to pass their security checks and has been cancelled. When I contact wm.com customer service (phone or email), they tell me to try again, with another payment method, after 24 hours. I've tried three different payment methods in …

So I had bought 2 Cloud Cuckoo from Walmart last week, but both boxes were beat up pretty bad. I found CC at a few other places and decided that I would just return the two beat up boxes along with three Turbo Tank mini's that I had picked up as well. I got up to the service desk and the clerk looked at what I was returning and asked why I was returning them. I told her because the boxes were beat up, and that we changed our minds about the turbo tanks. She examined the seals on all the boxes carefully, looked at a co-worker and asked"We have to open these right?". Needless to say I was a little surprised, but seining the condition the two CC boxes I figured that was…

The Walmart near me conveniently has the "scan here for price" thingy right in the Lego section. When I'm over buying groceries, I'll hit the Lego aisle and scan a bunch of items looking for a mismarked item. The annoying part is the super loud beep each time you scan something. Anyway..... I've noticed a few big sets that are gradually decreasing in price in the scanner system - but the price marked on the shelf stays exactly the same. There's a particular $119.99 set that was at about $105 for a week, then $100 even, now today it was at (if I remember right) $84.95. I've watched it go down in price over the course of a month. Same for another large set. And I see…

While not necessarily a deal, I need to blow off some steam about the shipment of B-wings I received from Walmart.com..... So I took advantage of the sale they had where B-wings were like $155. I ordered 3 of them. Two came in the original box that lego shipped them in, but the 3rd came without any box of any kind. They had numbers written on one of the white sides of the box in sharpie marker. They slapped the shipping label right across the front of the ship. When I was looking for the packing slip so I can return this monstrosity at my local store, I could only find the slip for the two in the box. Then I notice on the shipping label it said "Packing slip enclose…

So a week or so ago, I got onto Wal-Mart's site when they had the LOTR/ Hobbit bundle back when it saved you money and put 4 attack of the wargs and 4 attack on weathertop sets in my cart but never checked out because I hadn't talked it over with my spouse. Two days later, I got on again and found that the deal had changed to the sucky one we all saw later, you basically save a few cents if that. I reloaded my old shopping cart and checked out with the old prices! I have now picked them up (site to store shipping) and the entire transaction went through under the old amounts. Most retailers have a system in place for their online shopping carts that updates the prices …
