Walmart Deals

May be posted elsewhere but I didn't find it. I have been to 6 WMs within a 60 mile radius and have noticed that each one is very different in how they clearance Legos. Talked to a toy manager today at my local WM and here's the details. Corporate office tells all branches to clearance specific items initially (almost always) 20%. Then the store manager gets so much clearance dollars per store at the first of every month to allocate as he/she pleases to each department. It varies but usually the toy manager takes over from there and further discounts clearance items but sometimes the store manager likes to micro-manage and they select the items themselves. Hi guys, I noticed a few of my local Walmart stores showed online availability for some high demand Lego items (i.e. 9574-1), but when I visited the store they had none on the shelves...They were in store lay-away! Walmart starts their Christmas Layaway on 9/14 this year and all items must be paid for by 12/14...I would bet you'll see some high demand items going back on the shelves by tomorrow morning

I have Wal-Mart and Target discount envy reading some posts on here. I have 4 Targets within a 5 mile radius of me and 1 Wal-Mart and never see any deals. I see a red tag every once in a while for a small City set or something like that but never much more than that. I still do enjoy the hunt though.

Along with two of Olivia's Desk tucked away, I found a number of stock for Ice Cream Stand (30106) and Summer Picnic (30108), both of which were previously only available at Target for a short (and seasonal) timeframe. I found all three actually there with all the other Friends sets in 'the pink aisle'. If not there, then perhaps the clearance aisle or checkouts. It varies from store to store.

Hi All Walmart stock on anything exclusive or even sets over $100 is non existent right now, is this a time of the year thing whilst they restock or am I missing something? Sorry if its a newbie question. I managed to get some Delorean's and T1's with my employ discount before Thanksgiving and was hoping to pick up some other bits but apart from the Ecto, Sea Cow and a modular the websites empty. My wife and I just dropped off the kids for their first day at school and now we have some free time. We want to get new phones. So I had bought 2 Cloud Cuckoo from Walmart last week, but both boxes were beat up pretty bad. I found CC at a few other places and decided that I would just return the two beat up boxes along with three Turbo Tank mini's that I had picked up as well. I got up to the service desk and the clerk looked at what I was returning and asked why I was returning them. I told her because the boxes were beat up, and that we changed our minds about the turbo tanks. OK so I ordered a Tower Bridge with GC and after I received my $40 GC I applied it to order for HH with GC. I received both today. TB arrived in decent shape except for the big white sticker which was easily removed with hair dryer. But the outer box for HH was pretty much mangled. The shipping box was extra large and over 12" deep with ZERO packing. Needless to say the set box is creased and bent and one end was completely open (both seals loose) all the bags are sealed but there are 5 grey plates loose? Is this normal? Packing slip says to go to Walmart.com/Returns which states you may return via mail or to a store. Any recommendations as to which is better? Does …

Newbie here. These are available as site to store at a couple local stores. $34.97 for the batwing and $29.97 for the spidey set. What are the odds they actually have them available to pick up? It lets me add them to my cart. Also are these a good investment? Lego.com says they are both retired.

Nice sale at Walmart on LOTR Attack on Weathertop #9472 for only $42.75

Not sure of "official" policy but my walmart has no problems price matching, even online. They however never match a % off or BOGO, just prices The app now has a price catcher feature that will search local ads and refund you the difference. I bought some Lego during the across the street shopko Bogo 40% sale just to see if it would "catch" it I'll keep you posted

Have a feeling you will still get deals. Watch Ebay and Craigslist - these sets are gonna be up there soon for close to half off. Gonna be a lot of people who grabbed stuff and don't care except to flip it for 20$ Could be wrong, but I forsee some constitution trains and Pirate Ambushs, etc. for about $60 or less. Thoughts?

Not the best SB set, but this bundle is cheaper than buying Glove World by itself. SB Mad Libs seems like a decent bonus to throw in when listing SB sets. Hi I'm from bay area but seems can't find any Lego clearance, so to any fellow bay area member help me out. Ps I tried in Palo alto Wal-Mart and there's nothing.

I just saw that this set finally went on sale again. I picked up one at this price. I think this is the lowest I have seen it. Unfortunately, tax and shipping (my local store is around a 20min drive) doesn't make this a smoking deal.

First, I always mess up effect and affect so if I used the wrong one in the title, I apologize. So today there were obviously a ton of sets sold at a fraction of a price of what they were supposed to go for...Walmart's Christmas stock on some items is gone before we even reach Dec. (Ok they will prolly stock most of them again before then but they had to have taken a huge blow.) Other retailers selling the same sets prolly also took a blow due to price matching.....I know they only price matched a little while but still enough sets had to have been price matched for them to stop. My local walmart has both of these sets on sale for 17.00. I have yet to see Superman vs. Lex Power Armor set for less than $18 (and never on clearance yet). Black Zero Escape is still a new set and I'm sure that the 17.00 price is the lowest its been as of yet. I'll check some of the other local walmarts soon and see id this an isolated thing or nationwide.

I figure this deserves it's own post. If you look at the red clearance tag on the shelf, it shows when the clearance began. In the case of my Walmart, it began 8/2, or last Friday. When you guys go to your walmart next time, see if it is consistent. Maybe they mark things down further on Fridays?

So a week or so ago, I got onto Wal-Mart's site when they had the LOTR/ Hobbit bundle back when it saved you money and put 4 attack of the wargs and 4 attack on weathertop sets in my cart but never checked out because I hadn't talked it over with my spouse. Two days later, I got on again and found that the deal had changed to the sucky one we all saw later, you basically save a few cents if that. I live in a very rural area in Mississippi. I have one Wal-Mart that has 1/2 isle of Lego shelved. I pick it over regularly looking for deals but usually have very little luck at all. Well, recently, I was digging through the messed up shelves and found one Hulk's Helicopter Breakout 6868 with a clearance sticker. (Now you have to remember that my Wal-Mart does not have a clearance section for Toys. They have a rather small toy dept. ). This is pretty much a nation-wide markdown, but there may be a few Wal-Marts that don't adjust their prices. You can consider this YMMV, but these reports are popping up everywhere.
