Hi Thought I was one of a few until I was told about this site. Been collecting a few lego sets including tower bridge, millenium falcon to name a few. I wanted to ask what everyone does about storage? as you can imagine the tower bridge is a fairly big box. I have kept them in a dry dust free room, but was wondering whether i should buy an airtight box just in case? i don't want the box to fade or anything. Thanks all

The name is Richard Hayes and I'm a 31 year old from North Sheffield and I run Brick Fanatics, I've been a LEGO fan since my youth but I did have a number of dark years but since coming out of my dark age I have become very active on the LEGO scene. You can find me on various sites under the username Bricksan. I am a member of Brickshire & Brickish LUG. I am also the LUG Showcase Co-ordinator for Sheffield & Leeds and LEGO Ambassador for Brickshire Collecting wise you will find me very unique as I don't buy retail sets my collection is limited to the following Exclusives & UCS, CMF and Planet Sets. Hello all, firstly I'd like to say that I've always thought LEGOs were cool. Just never got big into them. As I spend the majority of my time deeply in the football card community. However tonight I stumbled across quite a few sets that were 75% off, which came to roughly $3.00 per box. Those being the Iron Man 3 (76008), Man of Steel (76002), Star Wars (75000, and 75001), and last but not least Lord of the Rings (79005). So considering they were so cheap I purchased 34 total. Opinions?? Please, and thank you! I look forward getting into the LEGO community!

Hello, there! I have been using the site as a price guild before I 'officially' joined it. So far I have posted some comments and just figured I haven't introduced myself yet. As we all sit in front of our computer, I figure it doesn't really matter where we are physically. Rather, it's just another node on the Internet network. Okay, enough goofing around, hello from VA, US.

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from Toronto and have been building Lego sets for 20 years. I am interested beginning to invest in Lego, though I will say I still have a long way to go before I start buying sets. Anyway, looking forward to learing from and sharing with the other members.

Hello, I am Mocha boy from Hong Kong. I have my first Lego set when I was 7 yrs old. Then I have not owned any Lego sets until 2008 because I saw 10196 and wanted to build it up with my wife. I am looking for any source of Lego sets to start my Lego business in Hong Kong. However, I have already searched for 2 years but no Lego online shop in bricklink reply my email. Hope I can learn more and get more information in here.

Hey there folks! Joined up in November and just finally got around to posting. I personally love the minifigs especially Star Wars and the Super Heros. But I have picked up various sets to put back and a few to personally build with my two sons. Look forward to learning alot here about investing in sets. Kris

Hi All, I’ve been looking at starting investing / collecting Lego, enjoyed playing with them as a kid and now I have kids of my own I can see how much the kits have improved. As a starter for investment I’ve looked at the Steamboat Willie set that is out now, seems to tick a few boxes in that it’s quite ‘unique’, it’s Disney, and there’s potential for interest to peak for the 100th anniversary of Steamboat Willie in 2028. Only downside is that it seems quite expensive for what you get. What are people’s thoughts on getting started, if you could start out again, how would you do it? Thanks, Chris.

Hi all, used to be a relatively active member of the forums back on its early years, but at this point it seems like it's been over 3 years since I actually posted anything - how time flies... Anyway, it's great to see how much the site has grown and changed over the years and although I never completely stopped checking it out, I am really looking forward to getting back into spending some more time in here going through all the great new content! To all of the familiar faces, it's great to see you and can't wait to interact with you again. And to all of the new faces, it's nice to meet you!

I'm from Southern Connecticut. Played with legos as a child but lost touch for a looooong time. My son started getting interested about 5 years ago and we have been avidly purchasing and building since then. He has a huge collection which is mainly sets taken apart and spread through many buckets. He now wants to go throught the buckets and put his sets back together to sell and buy new ones he's interested in. I have recently started buying for investing. I have about 200+ and growing NISB sets ready to let go of when the time is right. I also acquired a huge lot of used Star Wars sets spanning from the 80's-90's. Unfortunately, those sets are all taken apart and mixe…

Hey everybody! I've been a huge Marvel fan all my life, and have dabbled in both the business and collection side of Marvel collectibles. With the release of the relatively new Superheroes Marvel line, I'm returning to the LEGO world, as both a collector and investor. I'm glad to see such a helpful community of like minded people, and am looking forward to speculating, trading, and blowing our hard-earned money with you all!

Hello, I am reading this forum for a time now and want to introduce myself. My husband and I are small brickvesters from the Netherlands. We do this for a year-and-half now, and we are a little addicted to it now. We have about 150 sets and 50 polybags and minifigures. Also we have sold about almost 50 sets in less then a year, which we are quite proud of. We have learned a lot through this time, and bought Some sets with no growth potential, but also Some sets with a lot of potential. So that is our story, and I hope to learn a lot here, and also make my contribution to this forum.

I was doing searches to get info about sets and kept getting links to this Brickpicker place, so it was definately time to sign up. Kind of backed into the Lego world this summer when we bought 17 sets at a garage sale for $165. No boxes, but pristine and complete with manuals and each nicely in a plastic container. I recognized some themes like the Star Wars R2D2, but didn't have a clue about the others. Ended up that in there was Skyline, Sopwith Camel, Creator Ferris Wheel, and a number or retired early-mid 2000s Star Wars like a clone tank and AT-AT. Actually feel cheap that we haggled on price a bit, the asking wasn't much more but we really didn't have a …

Hi I have been reading a bit on this site for a while, now i finally registered. I mostly have old (1980-1990) Lego sets, from when i was young, but also a few new Technic sets. I have instructions for all my sets, almost no boxes (They were taking up too much space, my mum said) - so most boxes were cut up, and glued to a piece of paper - put in a plastic-pocket with the instructions on the backside. Noticed that most of my sets says ******/A at instructions - can i scan and upload them to this site somewhere? Michael

Hi everyone, After lurking for weeks, I decided to introduce myself over here. Nothing fancy about me tho, I went out of dark age like half a year ago when I recovered old sets I've had when I was younger. Now I'm 32, and I'm still wondering why I lost interest in Legos ... I'm not an "investor" yet, but that activity tickles me enough to make me wanna spend time around here. I don't plan to really make money off investing but rather help myself finance the sets I want to buy for myself. Anyway glad I discovered this community, there are many good reads over here. See you !

Hi all, I've been on this site for a little over a month, but I never really introduced myself. I'm a 14 year old collector/builder. (Almost 15.) I found this site after seeing a Brickshow video and I've been hooked ever since. I live just south of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. My first big Lego set was the Jabba's Sail Barge and it is still one of my favorites. (I got it in 2007.) I've bought more and more Lego since, but I'm limited to a certain point because of money. I have a pretty small collection and all but a handful of the sets are not built. I buy/sell sets with parent permission so sometimes it can be hard to get a set. (: I also make some money selling cus…
