General Different Set Theme Forum

Was able to aquire one of the Lego Promo Store sets from this weekend at the Woodlands,TX store opening. I am trying to decide what to do, sell it? Hold it for long term? Or build it? Anyone own or have owned this set new? I have one that is sealed, but it sounds like loose pieces banging around. There are some bags as well. The box doesn't look tampered with but it is beat up. Any input would be very useful

How much would you pay for a 1978 367 set? Yes, as you read on the title, a 1978 lunar module 367 set. It's complete, with manuals and box. The box is in bad shape. How much would you pay for it?

Here is the limited edition model given out to those who participated in the LEGO Inside Tour of 2015. With only 80 of the set given out at the event plus signed by Steen Sig Andersen makes this one extremely rare. I believe there is a printed plaque tile similar to those of the Architecture line inside so that's nice. Source: The Brick Fan

4002015 - Borkum Riffgrund (LEGO employees Xmas Gift 2015) Just wondering, are there any value in these sets? Any collectors? This set looks pretty cool IMO, and will be more than happy to pay for it if it was in an actual mass produce product. But at $200ish for 559 pieces... need more expert opinions on here

Hi, Title says it all. A new Lego Store set is coming 40145. How do we think this will affect values of the current 3300003 Brand Store? Will it go down like re-releases of retail sets often do, or does it stay ok or rise sharply as no-one else will be able to get them in future?

Here is another one of those quirky accessories for the work desk I came across. Basically another pencil holder of course but the (unavailable) product page says "Pencil Pot" which I don't know why but sounds funny. In any case it looks like a small Creator home with a touch of classic Town. I guess the story is her roof caved in and the repair guy is trying to fix it. Cute.

So... it's basically LEGO's take on the ol' "Guess Who?" game.

Not quite a seasonal set but was not sure where it fits in the range. Heading to legoland with the kids and was tempted to pick up a few. probably going to be around for a while but might have a quick flip potential. Not my usual price range or strategy but have filled up my large storage area so thought I might try a few smaller sets. Anyone else had any experience on this set.

The Shanghai LEGO store has revealed 40178 VIP Set, an upcoming promotional item which will be available to LEGO VIP members at some point later this year. This set is currently being given away with purchases of over 399 CNY in China, it’s unknown whether 40178 will be available worldwide yet.

This seems to be a new set, available at least at the Leicester Square store, but hopefully elsewhere. RRP is 99.99GBP, contains 4500 1x1 pieces in 4 shades of grey and 1 yellow, plus a 48x48 baseplate.

A good looking little promo. Should pair well with the already released VIP promo polybag. Will fit nicely into a city. Pick a brick wall looks nicely done. Since it's not an expensive UCS set, we can assume that these are all printed tiles and not stickers. Any guesses on what the spending threshold will be on this one? I'm thinking $125

Different packaging but will probably hurt the rare original.
