LEGO Questions & Answers

Is there one or several recommended suppliers on Amazon that anyone recommends to keep your Lego supply pure? Or perhaps to stay away from? I am looking to keep my Logos as true as possible and was reading up earlier on how to identify the fake from the real.

Hi, I am a mom of little boy. My little boy start showing interest in playing lego and it's great. I am new to Lego, but I am amazed of this incredible toys since I visited Legoland with my family a couple weeks ago. And now for myself, I am looking for some collectible items such as lego sets and minifigures.....I personally really like the Ninjago theme, can you share with me if Ninjago will be a good collectible item? Will the value go up in the future for Ninjago? And as far as minifigures, will it be wise to invest in the lego dimension instead of the traditional minifugures? Please advise...Greatly appreciated! Hi, I picked up a Lego Star Wars Death Star 10188 as a store return. All four boxes are present. Box 1, 2 are factory sealed. Box 4 is open with 11 bags in it that have the number 7 on them. The box seems to be full. Box 3 also seems opened so I would be looking for number of bags there as well. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if this is the complete contents of boxes 3 and 4. Seems LEGO can't do much against people selling the AUSINI Lego clone. Hard to imagine since they clearly are copying licensed material. I wondered if anyone has any experience with buying these Ausini figures and want to share what they think about the quality. Since LEGO nor the second hand sites Ausini-boy is flooding wants to do anything about it, I thought about writing a blog about it and spreading it. Except for a certain Beanmeister22, whose voice still rings thru my head and which I,with this post, also nominate for the most annoying youtube channel presenter, I can't find a single decent review of this Ausini material on the net. Does anyone here use Amazon's Mechanical Turk to earn money towards Lego purchases? I used to be quite active and slowed down but it is another way to earn money to support your Lego habits.

Are sealed basic sets from the 80s worth anything? I the one I am looking at is not listed in the guide and there are no active sellers on bricklink (new or used)

So I see a lot of nasty Mega in here. Only manuals that link to anything decent is for Destiny's Bounty and the Gallardo. Hello everyone, I have seen some photos of Lego stores, not the ones owned or run by Lego, but privately owned, Toy Stores that only sell Lego products. And I am wondering if there is some sort of rule about these types of stores, I have seen posts about them in countries outside of the USA, but none in the USA. Does anyone think there's any reason for the difference in colors of the sold out status on SaH? One is red and the other is orange. Just kind of odd I guess...

Need help on identifying the differences b/w these two green goblin. The one with gold eye and the another without. Is there any other different point beside the eyes? I've got some old sets I'm prepping for sale. A couple of them include the Lego cloth material (got a couple pirate ship sails, the little tent from that Adventurers Sphinx set etc). They're well used, crinkled, dusty etc. So I've got 2 questions here... 1. What's the best way to remove the dust from this somewhat porous cloth material? Laundry? Hand wash and dry? Packing tape/lint roller? 2. Has anyone ever tried to iron this material to it's original flat state that it ships in? Is there a safer method? Thanks team!

I'm fairly new to collecting lego but have collected other items for some time. What I've found interesting is that thru production there are always variations, intentional and unintentional. We see many variations of a figure from set to set, but are there any figs that have changed their design elements in the same set? A recent example of an unintentional variation (error) is the Flux capacitor emblem spelling in the DeLorean. The stickers for the monster fighter sets were intentional variations. Anything else come to mind?

Okay, very silly question, and a very newbie question too - I have a couple of Chima characters whose pants have gone missing, and a couple of helmets too. How do I go about trying to replace them? From what I gather, Lego will not let you purchase mini figures, or even parts of them. I need to fix the little guys, but have no idea where to start. Also, i need to find a peach hand for a Han Solo...

I uploaded a number of sets into my Brickfolio. The price many of the sets (all used) showed significantly lower that the values I'm seeing on Bricklink. One set is the Ferry set 1998-1. Bricklink has two for sale for $200 and $224 and ebay has none for sale or that have sold recently. Why does my Brickfolio show the current value of $27? Are these prices solely based on Ebay sold? What if none have sold on BL or Ebay? Can I manually enter a price? David

Does Lego sell architecture builds in different sizes? Like Big Ben 21013. Does it come in a larger size and if so how would I identify it?

Do you guys think it is really worth to $150+ for the rare double crossover track set #7996. I heard there are other ways to do a double crossover in your train layout but I thought it would just be easier to buy this set.
