  1. Title says it! I imported my Used collection from brickset, but it added it as New. Is there a way to delete the entire brickfolio? I'd rather not go do it one by one, lol.

  2. I'm pretty new at this and I'm trying to understand, why have certain current sets decreased in value over the past year? And is this indicative of their future, post-retirement performance? I know they're not going to increase while they're still available, but some of them seem to have dropped quite a bit. E.g. http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=75094-1 http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=75102-1

  3. Hi, I have the Star Wars 1999 collection all unopened and in great condition...minus one (7128). Is it best to sell as a group or individually? Thank you for your help!

We all know the Exclusives section on LEGO S&H web page where the most expensive and valuable sets are presented. Do you know when this section has been introduced and has someone a full list of Exclusives from the beginning on? Previously these sets had a 5 digit number (as distinct from the usual sets) but now the number does not tell us id a set is an exclusive one or not... Mauro

I've got a bunch of old sets that are showing their age, which is fine. But I'm wanting to know the best way to go about getting stickers and rubber bands replaced. Also, how to clean bulk amounts of pieces at once (need to seriously clean my UCS Tantive and X-Wing pieces). Any tips/suggestions/advice greatly appreciated, thanks

  6. Started by NizNoz,

Hi all.. I bought a used Market Street a few weeks back off eBay. Seller described as 'used once, bought as original, great condition, no substitutions' etc.. Price was good, but catch was 'missing box, manual and minifigs/fruit'. No biggie there... Now I've come across something while organizing pieces. Some of the pieces are not consistent. Here's an example (and actually the only example I noticed thus far..) For light blue 1x8 brick (3008), there seems to be a mixture of at least two types: Solid bottom tubes, 3 cross support at the position of bottom tubes, and Solid bottom tubes, 5 cross supports at the position of bottom tubes. I know this is getting tech…

  7. Hi folks - My family & some others are raising money this year to build a well in Africa. We have a big goal, so we have been dong some creative things as a way to help raise the money. This month we are hosting an event that will include a raffle, and I plan to donate some Lego sets to the cause. Which brought up some questions: - In this case, since I'm not giving the sets directly to a non-profit , how I would track this giving since I won't have a receipt of any kind for tax purposes? Do I just record it as a loss to my overall profits for the year? - What do I use for a donation amount here? Do I just use my cost paid? Do I use current market val…

  8. This is really just a general question, but if I wanted to sell of, say 100 sets, to free up some capital and space, do I list it all on CL, here, or where? I want to move some money elsewhere and refine my collection to things I want more. I want to sell this as one lot, not separate pieces. Thank you

Hey, I am clearing out a bunch of my old sets. I have been working for the past month to find all the pieces to each of them so I can sell them as full sets. Seeing as they are mostly good condition used sets that still have instructions, what time of the year would be the best time to sell? Thanks for any help! Thanks, camharvey

My son is pretty good at building lego sets (he is 6 and has built the death star and sand crawler). However, we want to introduce him to motorized lego. So far his exposure is to lego trains. What is a good way to introduce him to lego motors and which ones would you recommend buying? The ones from lego education seem great (with the necessary pieces and curriculum) however, they seem pricey for the number of pieces. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

On clearing out the loft of my mothers old house I came across a vast amount of old LEGO some of which is nearly sixty years old. I do not want to use E Bay but can any one tell me its value and how best to sell it? Do I have to photo every box and piece?

Need help guys, I sold an x-wing 10240 last week, buyer contacted me today & said bag 2 was missing. The box arrived sealed so I asked him if he wanted to contact Lego for the missing bag or I would do it, or he can send it back & I will give him a full refund. He said he would contact them, now i'm thinking should I contact Lego or is it ok for the buyer to contact Lego?

So I picked up a New Wotto's Junkyard in an auction on eBay a while back, planning on re-selling it for a profit. I am taking pictures of the box and I hear loose parts rolling around now... I know it's not a good sign but I am guessing I have to open it now to check it. I can't rightfully re-sell it without knowing it's complete can I. I'm thinking about if someone opens it and claims it's missing things I'd have no way to prove otherwise. There's definitely bags in there but I think one of them may have come apart. What would you do?

I will be moving in the next year and half back to the mainland. How do you guys move with completed sets? How do you store them? I have started working on a small city using mostly creator 3-1 sets and houses. I am thinking about stopping these builds knowing that I have to move next year, it almost seems pointless. I have some SW sets that I can build in the meantime and I am sure other builds will come up too. Just not sure if working on the city makes sense. Do I tear all the buildings I have already built down or do I just try to pack them and store them in a container?

I have not seen any mention of DVDs that come with a minifig -- they are LEGO products, but they do not have set numbers. I just got a "Justice League Cosmic Clash" DVD with a Cosmic Boy minifig. Searching the site, I only see Cosmic Boy listed in a poly bag. Is the figure in the bag different than the one with the movie? How about the minifigs that come with the books, are they unique?

HI All Just wondering.. How much do you think Lego without the original box effects the second hand price? Obviously if its all there but no box - the play factor is still there. But for a serious collector - Would they even consider it?

I've tried to research ways to 'polish off' old transparent pieces that have been scratched to death, but nothing seems to work. I think I remember someone saying toothpaste, but that was not effective. Is there any known way of buffing out those scratches and getting it somewhere close to the original look?

We have an NXT 2.0 all cords, most of the pieces, instructions, and stickers; used about 5 times, with the brain of course, and my son does not know what to ask for it? Anyone have any sound advice? Thanks!

Not sure if this has been asked yet or not, but I recently got some new Minifigures from Series 15 and my wife pointed out that there were no longer any holes in the top of the heads. I know there used to be and so many articles pointed it out as a safety factor for minimizing choking. Anyone happen to know why these were eliminated?

Hey folks, A friend of mine is willing to sell his loose LEGO in a superlot and asked me an evaluation I guess a lot of pieces belong to City but I am not quite sure what the value could be and also if there are rare/expensive pieces in there. He said the pieces are in overall good shape and whites are not yellowed. Which could be a reasonable price for the lot? Thanks a lot in advance for the help.

  23. Started by lkkillian,

I am not quite sure how to ask this question but here goes. I have a lot of loose lego, what is the best procedure to investigate which set or sets some of these lego go to. For instance; I have tons of yellow bricks, as well as black bricks, grey and light grey with many of them being flat 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, etc. 4x10, 6x20, and angular plates. You get the picture. I have many many white bricks, red, green, assorted blues, pinks, brown, tan and more. How do I start my research into determining what sets my bricks might belong to to see if I have any complete sets so I can get the building instructions for them? Or should I just say forget it and sell them in bulk lots. Any …

What approaches do people take to protect themselves from unscrupulous buyers who falsely claim minifigs are missing from sealed sets and want a refund? Pop seals, verify and reduce asking price? Can you insist refunds will not be permitted due to missing parts?

  25. I have the most difficult request I've had in quite a while for a children's museum in... Russia. They are wanting 14lbs of the medium azure bricks, parts and pieces. Just a few weeks ago I was able to scrounge up 4 lbs of these rarities, but I'm at a loss as to how I'm going to come up with that much of such a rare color. Anyone have any recs other than the shop.lego.com website pick a brick?
