I would just like to know how old everyone here on Brickpicker is plus what gender. Just wondering if there are a bunch of youngish men/women or oldish men/women. Thanks. PS: If you aren't comfortable giving your age, I am not pressuring you.

Hello New BrickPicker members and forum users... Due to spammers, jerks and bots that attack the site and forum constantly, we have implemented a 20 Post Approval System for new members and forums users. Each of your first 20 posts needs to be approved and content checked by Admins/Mods. After the Admins or Mods approve 20 of your posts, you will no longer need to get approval to post. We constantly check for new posts, but we apologize if there is a slight delay for post approval. Thanks...Ed Mack

When I first got on BP three and a half months ago, stephen_rockefeller only had seven hundred some posts, and most of the people who post a lot now weren't even on the site. Whn did the forum activity increase so much?

Welcome to BrickPicker.com. My name is Ed Mack and along with my brother Jeff, we are the creators of BrickPicker. We would like to give new members...and some old ones, an opportunity to ask the "stupid" question. On many forums, the new or inexperienced members will get berated for asking basic or repetitive questions that many veteran site members already know. Well this forum is the place to ask that silly or dumb question about the site or LEGO collecting and investing. So ask away, no question is a bad one... Also, check out the BrickPicker FAQs before asking, it might answer your question. PS: To veteran and experienced members, I expect civil a…

Hello to all. My Name is Ross. 77 years of age and just ordered my first lego. Land Rover 42110 ordered and on its way. I am experienced hobby watchmaker (someone who services watches), but my eyes are causing me problems. I've decided to try Lego as a hobby. This is the first forum that I have found that has a useable interface for a novice. I have a number of questions to ask. But before I do, I will spend some time perusing the site and reading as many of the member's post's that I can. Regards.

Hi there. My name is Peter. I live in a nursing home, brought on by falling off my roof, cleaning the gutters. Silly old me. I have built many lego kits over the past 5 years. My first was a large scale landrover defender, green with white roof type. 5 forward speed g/b, 2 and 4 speed engagement too. I have built other lego kits, all cars. My most recent kit is a Bugatti Veron, large scales type, 42083. Technic. I need help with the packet numbering.

Hi everyone! I’m new to the forum but have been a long-time LEGO fan — finally decided to stop lurking and say hi 😊 I started with City sets as a kid, but lately I’ve been really into Technic builds. Just finished the Lamborghini Sian and honestly, I think I stared at the gearbox for an hour after it worked properly My cat tried to steal a wheel mid-build, so that was fun. Aside from LEGO, I’m also getting ready for my school’s homecoming — it’s coming up soon and I’ve been stressing about what to wear. Anyway, excited to be part of this community! Would love to see other people’s builds — especially if you’ve managed to build anything without your cat …

Hello everyone, new to this site. I've heard plenty about it and briefly browsed it for information on my Bricklink store. But never got around to officially signing up. With Bricklink down, I seem to have the spare time to sign up. 🙂🙃

Hey all. Been a member for years. A few weeks ago I upgraded my router and changed dns providers to cloudflare. Cloudflare is blocking brickpicker.com for phishing. Thought someone should know. You can check https://radar.cloudflare.com/domains/domain/brickpicker.com

Hi, everyone! I haven't played with LEGO since I was a kid. I'm now in my 40s and, on a lark, decided to order a small Star Wars ship set and was hooked. To say I know practically nothing about LEGO would be an understatement, but I at least knew enough that I don't want to pay full price for sets if I don't have to. A quick internet search brought me to here, and you all have already saved me some money! Hopefully one day I'll be able to return the favor. I know a number of you do this as a business, so I hope you don't mind those of us, like me, who are just dipping our toes in for our own hobbies and interests.

Just a quick hello! And a quick question: is there a good summary of the rules on not being labelled spam for this forum? I am a bit older than some and seemed to get myself banned from others for posting the odd link and not understanding the etiquette. Thanks

Heya, newbie LEGO investor from Germany here. The idea of joining the investment bandwagon came to me while I was searching for specific LEGO Ninjago sets for my kids, which made realise that some of my older sets have appreciated significantly and are hard to come by. I invested about 10k, primarily in themes I feel comfortable with (SW, HP, MC, Ninjago, Ideas, Icons, Seasonals). I shy away from Marvel/DC (cause I've got no clue about these topics) and Speed Champions (seem way overhoarded to me). I've also watched tons of investment videos, and while not all of them are bad, I still haven't found a channel I really feel fully comfortable with. I…

Just a hello. Started purchasing Lego when the kids became interested. Great activity to build with kids, learn etc. As a kid I didn't have the chance to play with Lego that I can remember. Picked up a some sets of my own that the kids helped build. Nicely displayed. Took a lot of heat from spouse when I rolled in with 75192 - Millennium Falcon. Won't forget that. I tended to purchase Star Wars sets as I was a big SW fan as a kid. Had some Kenner figurines back in the day. Still have many in boxes as I've not found time to prioritize assembling them. Kids are grown up now. The myriad of City, Ninjago, etc. all in pieces around and about in Lego storage con…

I've been writing my thesis on possible investment strategies involving legos, for a conclusive analysis It would be really useful to have access to a database with price history for some lego sets in secondary markets. I feel like somewhere in this blog i should be able to find what I'm looking for but cant figure out where, would someone be so kind as to help me?? thx

I remember joining this site a long long time ago and I'm glad that I still have my username active and could access it. I started investing in Lego a way long time ago, maybe 12 years ago, sold off a bunch of my inventory to go into other investments and adventures seven years ago, and now I'm back. My love of Lego has been reborn in raising my two sons and seeing the products Lego has been putting out and the way the economy is going I feel like it's time to get back into Lego.
