Kenxxx Posted August 9, 2016 Share Posted August 9, 2016 Anyone see the new Suicide Squad movie? Just got back. I enjoyed it! Of course, I am NOT a graphic novel reader... never heard of most of these characters before. I did read thru Vol 1 "Kicked in the Teeth" just for some point of reference. But that's all the experience I have with this theme. Harley Quinn carries the show. I'm not crazy about Jared Leto as the Joker, but he did an adequate job I guess. I never pictured Deadshot as Will Smith, but he also does a passable job as far as I'm concerned. Most of the other characters are less memorable. But overall, I enjoyed the show. It provided an adequate introduction for someone who knows nothing about the DC Universe, told a pretty good story, and was fun to watch. I liked it much more than the new Star Trek movie. The original film & its sequel (Futureworld) were good for their time and still to this day. I heard there was a television series after the two films called Beyond Westworld but I did not see it.
