Kenxxx
TRU now has the 75053 Ghost at $71.99. Stack a 20% coupon with 10% TRUSA (that's TRUTH on Saturdays), and it comes to $51.83 (+ tax). 42% off. That's the best price I've seen all year.

I was also doubtful and, I even asked her, "Are you sure?" And she said, "Yes". ... of course... she could be wrong... and who knows if TRU cc's are even working in store today?coupon only applies to regular priced items no I have had no problem using coupon on any item that ends in "$X.99"

blarghiflargh
The TRUSA thing is striking a cord with me because I was pretty certain I read it would be in September but when I double checked BP nobody was talking about it. Figured I was losing it.
Kenxxx
My cashier was wrong. At TRU now. .. 10% sat starts in November. Also, shelf prices here do not match current web prices. I asked for correction on an item then handed in my coupons, but got rejected. Either price match (even to their own website ) OR coupons, not both. mfortunek
This is hit or miss. I've had the same TRU give me both coupons and price match, then two days later refuse to give both (one or the other) and then a week later give both again. Just depends on the store, the managers and how the cashiers are trained (or not trained). Whether my stacking works or not I am always polite, I never complain, and I act apologetic and friendly when my tactics don't work. I hope everyone does the same.

I hope everyone does the same. its not about employee's giving or not. if they price match properly then additional discount(like 20%,15%,10% coupon and 10% off TRUTH or THUSA) doesn't take into effect at all. that's how the POS is configured. YMMV: that employee's might manually adjust price to include those additional discounts off on top of price match and make it PRICE ADJUSTMENT. i would love to see the receipt of price matched item getting those additional discount. {if this actually happens then its a new thing}. my experience has always been that as soon as the price is over-ridden then NONE of ADDITIONAL discount APPLIES/ADDS. its upto the human(behind the register) to decide what to change it to. check the receipt (just because employee's says they are giving does not always mean that it has been reflected in the receipt). Agree 100% Every time I confirm that they know I'm using my CC & still don't give me the CC discount, I just accept it & move on. I may b*tch about it (to you guys) but at the end of the day I need to go back there & 15% or 20% is still more than the 10% CC... I'm not sure exactly how the cashiers have done it but I have definitely gotten a TRU price adjusted at the register to a competitor's website price and then had coupon 15% or 20% applied to the competitor price. I'm out of town now and don't have any receipts with me but I know I have some at home if anyone wants to see how they look I can post them. Darth_Raichu
Yes, someone had mentioned that the case may be Price Match is no & Price Adjustment is yes. This makes sense. Price match is for matching other store's price, which can be seen as a special promotion on its own. Price adjustment is for fixing a mistake on their system, example: if the shelf tag shows $19.99 but on the POS it comes up as $21.

longshot
Unfortunately one of the TRU denied the 20% off and $5 off coupons this afternoon. I've used them there before so was surprised. I think it was a sudo manager and questioned where it came from and that they dont except printed copies. Ughhhhhhhhhhhh very frustrating. Glad it wasn't one of the ones near my house. Haven't had any issues with those thankfully. Is there a way to use them online some how?

longshot
I think that is how it will be from now on. Just easier to hand them the printed copy when you want em to ring up a cpl different sets separately and use the coupon a cpl times or three............. project88
I just came back from tru, I price matched the cargo train from Amazon. The employee told me that since I'm using another store promotion price that I couldn't get the 10% discount from the cc. Is this a new policy? baschloinka
I believe if you price match, no more discount can be added. Including 10% TRUTHRight. The only add-on you get with a price match (particularly if it comes from a competitor substantially below TRU shelf price) is a complimentary death stare from the manager. But in all seriousness, price match also will exclude you from any "free polybag with purchase over $X" promos as well.
