Marathon 3 day build to complete the Falcon!  Total build time was around 20 hours and was actually a really straight forward build,  nothing too complicated just lots of parts to look through for each set of bags.  Really stoked - the ship looks amazing!

Using 12x12 modified 3 hole plates and 12x1 beams connecting the outer holes. I plated the gaps on top and the bottom. It's fairly stiff but I don't think it's going to work.

My wife and I built the Destiny's Bounty over the weekend (I got through bag 2 and she kicked me off & did the rest). First time she has built a set herself (almost).... It's a beautiful set, most detailed of all the lego ships imho. I sat it next to the Imperial Flagship once I got it to work. The Flagship is still my fav but this easily beats out the potc ships. Can't believe I have a Ninjago set on display! Highly recommend this one.

I built the Lego Atlantis undersea portal. A very unloved theme, but a really nice build. Grandparents got it dirt cheap, and the kids love it.

40177 cool little poly bag.

How's the tent?
Flimsy, cheap?
Easy for a child to assemble?

Haha. Yeah. Guess this will be a GWP in the coming months.

It's a nice little set, the tent has a brick built base and some of the elements in this set are cool/rareish like that rounded piece and the blue mining head (used as a camp stove)

Thanks for confirming the scale against the IF, very impressive for the price. I now can't wait to build my DB ;-)

Not built today but my last 3 big Star Wars big builds.

75192. Mirko Soppoelsa's UCS U-Wing and Bricklinked 10134 hopefully the table give people some idea of exactly how big 75192 actually is.

More pics of U-Wing and Y-Wing inbound

Bricklinked Y-wing

Some replacements made. Probably going to experiment with changing some of the pipes and hoses.

I remember you said you were going to look into building one when I did that last article. What alterations did you make? Do you know how much you saved?

I did mean to write it up my impressions but got the instructions through for U-wing just as I finished this. I think using just European sites I got the price down to around 280 GBP inc postage. would have been even cheaper if I had access to US sellers without high postage penalty.

As you can see the corrugated hoses are all slightly different shades of silver. I'm going to look at getting the right length hoses for each section, possibly in white. I'm also going to see about getting the thinner hoses that should be brown. Possibly buying longer length hoses and cutting them down to correct sizes.

Yeah, I noticed the various shades of silver. that was a shame.

I personally like the variations in this silver. it makes it look more realistic. Rebels dont have perfect paint jobs, and standard parts. They have duct tape and wear.

Wife in the hospital since last Tuesday. Brought the Ultimate Batmobile to build here.  Finished bag 6, but pic is only through bag 5 though.

Got 4842 Hogwarts and 10217 Diagon Alley fully completed today. Both great sets. My favourite bit is probably the great hall.

Now to find some new owners for them!
