Hey guys, I bought a box of 60 for the first time off eBay and was wondering if the contents seemed right. I've always heard 3 complete sets come in a case of 60 is this still true? The case I recived had the seals broke so I'm wondering if the contents have been picked over and replaced.

My case had:

#1 Wizard- 4

#2 Hun Warrior- 2

#3 fairtale Princess- 2

#4 Video Game Guy- 5

#5 Battle Goddess- 6

#6 Space Miner- 4

#7 Lifeguard- 3

#8 Prospector- 4

#9 Jester- 3

#10 Dino Tracker- 5

#11 Pizza Delivery Guy- 4

#12 Rock Star- 4

#13 Swashbuckler- 7

#14 Piggy Guy- 3

#15 Genie Girl- 2

#16 Spooky Girl- 2

I think your seller grabbed a few that he wanted.  You shoudn't have only received 2 of some figures.  Here's the link to Whitefang's review on Eurobricks.  Can also be found on page 6 of this thread.

Did they say it was sealed or that it was unsearched?

Alpinemaps performs:

                                                                                              "I've Smooshed Everywhere"

I was totin' my pack along the dusty Carlsbad road,

When along came a semi with a high an' Lego logo-covered load.

"If you're goin' to Legoland, Mack, with me you can ride."

And so I climbed into the cab and then I settled down inside.

He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand.

And I said, "Listen, I've smooshed every road in this here land!"

[Chorus:]

I've smooshed everywhere, man.

I've smooshed everywhere, man.

CMFs are running bare, man.

I've breathed that Mixel air, man.

Of flipping I've had my share, man.

I've smooshed everywhere.

I've smooshed at:

TRU Reno, Discovery Chicago, Wal-mart Fargo, Target Minnesota,

Walgreens Buffalo, TRU ca Toronto, Mom & Pop at Winslow, CVS Sarasota,

Jewel/Osco Wichita, dumpster in Tulsa (Quizno's), Craig's List Oklahoma,

Series 1 in Tampa, 2 in Panama, 3 in Mattawa, 4 La Paloma,

5 Bangor, Emazers house in Baltimore, 7 in Salvador, Series 8 Amarillo,

 9 in Tocapillo,, I'm a killer.

[Chorus]

I've been to:

Lego store in Boston, Simpsons Figs in Charleston, skipped Louisiana,

Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana,

Monterey, Faraday, Santa Fe, Tallapoosa,

Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa,

Tennessee to Tennesse Chicopee, Spirit Lake,

Grand Lake, Devils Lake, Crater Lake, for Pete's sake.

[Chorus]

I've been to:

Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Ombabika,

Schefferville, Jacksonville, Waterville, Costa Rica,

Pittsfield, Springfield, Bakersfield, Shreveport,

Hackensack, Cadillac, Fond du Lac, Davenport,

Idaho, Jellico, Argentina, Diamantina,

Pasadena, Catalina, see what I mean-a.

[Chorus]

I've been to:

Pittsburgh, Parkersburg, Gravelbourg, Colorado,

Ellensburg, Rexburg, Vicksburg, Eldorado,

Larimore, Atmore, Haverstraw, Chatanika,

Chaska, Nebraska, Alaska, Opelika,

Baraboo, Waterloo, Kalamazoo, Kansas City,

Sioux City, Cedar City, Dodge City, what a pity.

[Chorus]

(I've smooshed everywhere)

OK joke runs out of steam, too many damn places in that song.

Wow...I don't even know what to say.

I bought ten of these the other day at Target for 2.99 a piece and I still feel like I'm paying overpriced.  30 dollars in and I could have put that towards something significant.  I may end up gifting off some of these and putting the money into something that actually builds.

For the accessories, yes, the Goddess is much better.  But I don't see anybody wanting to make an army of fighting women.  You can make an army of the Hun Warrior because it makes more sense and makes for a good faction.  She's awesome if you're wanting to do some sort of Mythology MOC, but I don't see a MOC'r wanting a whole legion of her.  In the end, I plan on having several of both.

No you dont want to make an army of warrior goddess BUT I would rather make an army of spearmen with cool shields from warrior goddess CMF bag than an army of swordsmen......

Hun looks average, actually if I am honest, barbarian warrior was cooler than this Hun warrior....... the only thing that saves Hun warrior is the fact it has shield....

Warrior goddess shield alone will be worth 1,5

I found these at Target and thank goodness still with a retail of $2.99. No idea if they will stay that way but hopefully yes. Anyway I think I managed to acquire a full set. There wasn't any box displaying all 16 characters and I couldn't remember who all they were really until I started smooshing then I recalled each as I went through. Overall this wasn't too difficult except the Video Game Guy, Lifeguard, and Rock Star seem to have a very similar hairpiece when feeling blind so those were awkward but not so much when I found that one unique piece. I can hardly wait at getting a chance to sit down and put my set together!

It was only after I opened about 8-9 packs that I realized that the codes were related to the figures.

I don't plan on activating the codes and would like to match the right code sheet with each figure.

I noticed that each code sheet has a small number in a white circle up at the top corner.

Has anyone logged which number goes with which figure?

Or..does anyone know of a site that has?(I've Googled without success).

Thanks!

John

I have a dumb question about CMF packs (probably a better thread so apologies in advance).  So, are they collated in the same manner into the boxes at the factory?  Say you get two sealed cases of Series 12 CMFs that were produced at the same time from the same factory.  Will they have the same layout?  As in say spooky girl in the front left spot, wizard behind her, lifeguard behind the wizard, etc etc in both cases?  Or are they all just shoved in there randomly?

There is a method to the madness far as quantity for each character goes but their placement has not been the same going from one box to another.

  • 2 weeks later...

With the latest Target clearance wave, I was able to buy 83 @ $1.48/ea.  Using the feel/smoosh method, I was able to determine what each one was. I put together one complete set and two sets missing two or less figures.  What was left in the display box could be random, or it could be insight on the popularity of the figures.  Here was what I got from the 83 CMFs:

  • 5 Wizards
  • 3 Hun Warriors
  • 2 Fairytale Princesses
  • 7 Video Game Guys
  • 5 Battle Goddesses
  • 8 Space Miners
  • 1 Lifeguard
  • 3 Prospectors
  • 3 Jesters
  • 4 Dino Trackers
  • 4 Pizza Delivery Guys
  • 9 Rock Stars
  • 11 Swashbucklers
  • 6 Piggy Guys
  • 7 Genie Girls
  • 5 Spooky Girls

That's bad luck only getting one lifeguard. It is one of the harder ones to find. I believe there are 3 in each case. If you look back on this thread the distribution of each case is posted. If I were you I would be looking for two other lifeguards so you can have three full sets.

The wizard was a good build, lots of pieces to it.

I think the popularity really depends on where else the minifigs can be used ie. elves for a winter theme, spooky girl for Halloween etc. It's the minifigs that aren't dual purposed that will probably be the ones to perform poorly in the secondary market.
