Has anyone else had a problem with buying items and using Walmart's In Store Pickup this morning? I just tried to buy some Friends Heartlake Stables and Vet sets, and where the 'add to cart' was last night, it now says "show this number to an associate". I was enjoying some flippin' on these for the online price, but if Walmart has shut this down for the holidays...

  2. There are some key ingredients that set one LEGO set apart from others when talking about "investment potential." Why does one 800 piece set triple in value in two years while another 800 piece set stay around MSRP? Is it the individual theme difference? Piece difference? Minifigure difference? What do you look for in a set that makes it a worthwhile investment set? Now I know some of you

  3. My wife and I are quickly running out of pieces in the Lego city display we are working on. I have been searching eBay to find some bulk brick auctions and have put some on my watch list. But the idea just came to me that there may be some sets out there where the minifigs sold separately would be worth more or equal to the set itself. Getting some of these sets and selling the minifigs might be a good way to accumulate pieces. I'm not looking to make any money on this but would at least like to break even or maybe a little less. Does anyone know of good sets that I may be able to do this with? Color really isn't an issue since we need just about every color but grey woul…

  4. We have posted a new special from the team at ChowrenToys. This was an offer that Brickset had a while ago and they sold out pretty quick. This is a polybag special, LEGO Castle Sets: Knights' Kingdom II 5998 Vladek. It retails on their site for $5.00 and I see it going for that price and higher on eBay right now. If you have an account on their site and type in code: BP5998DEAL at checkout, you will get them for $1.80 per bag. That is a pretty sweet deal. Grab the new Vladek 5998 Special Now!

LEGO discontinued its design by me sets you could design with LDD, upload the set plans and order that set in a custom box. SO my question is, do these sets have any value ?

  9. As recently by LEGO stated they will introduce environmental friendly boxes and dispense disposable plastic packaging... So whats that gonna be? Is every LEGO Set from now to 2025 a collectible and by 2025 we talk about the good old times when Lego wasn´t packed by something that can fertilize your plants...? I really don´t know what to think about that? Shipping is going to be much more expensive for sure... https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-group-jahresergebnis-2019/

Well, if some of you have been following the Olympics you must've heard what happened to that poor South Korean girl in her match against a German. Long story short, they were tied, the Korean would've won as she had priority (I don't know what that means), there was one second left on the clock and they played that second time and time again until the German got the final touch/point eliminating the Asian. Anyways, look what I found here. I know that this is not related to collecting or investing but I didn't find a forum for general Lego content Ed/Jeff . It was really funny, with the space woman from Series 6 as the evil German xD

To all investors and members, please enjoy my new Brickvesting Blog article published today, Beginner's Guide to Investing Lego Style. Even though it's geared toward fledgling investors, there's some good stuff in there for everyone. I also have a quick supplemental Personal Blog entry up that summarizes my goals for my last two blog articles, Myths and Truths and Beginner's Guide. Enjoy, and please provide feedback - I love to hear whether people think I'm on the mark of full of garbage (or both)!

I bought 3 of these after Christmas for $8 each at Walmart. These are fantastic in that the adjustable inserts go all the way to the bottom and there are multiple slots on each row for the inserts to fit into. Try and find them if you need to ave a convenient way to organize your parts. Its even good for if you are building a set, but don't have a devoted tabletop space and might need to move the pieces. I am going to try and get 3 more but I highly recommend them. https://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-Compartment-Adjustable-Christmas-Ornament/dp/B01N455YDY

I have been wondering if there was any way to further classify the used sets purchased on Ebay. There can be a wide variety in the used category. Assembled with no box, or insturctions. With crummy box, with nice box, sitcker used or unused. I think we all unerstand what new means (actually that is a little complex to becasue the box can technically be open...what's up with that), but the used category could be enhaced. I would think for evaluation purposes a used set, with an nice box, nice instcution manual, unused sticker sheet would typically be valued more than the Price Guide used price (which often is missing box). I can't see buying a bunch of sets a…

A Silicon Valley executive was charged with four felony counts of second degree burglary after allegedly creating his own barcodes and placing them on Lego toys at Target stores to get major discounts. He sold 2,100 items on Ebay and made $30,000. The Supervising Deputy District Attorney is not sure why Langenbach would go to such great lengths. "It's a bit of a head scratcher, the complexity of the crime and the amount of resources needed to commit the crime leave you scratching your head", she said. "Mr. Langenbach is a VP of a successful company, living in a nice home and making money gainfully and in his free time creating false barcodes and going into Target…

Thoughts and opinions on what the LEGO situation will be ten years from now? Any thoughts are welcome, investing, what sets will be like, values ect. I know some people get a little touchy when asked for their predictions but I promise I will not hold it against you if your predictions prove to be inaccurate 10 years down the road!

So guys, I have made plenty of comments about collecting Star Wars minifigures, and have even gone as far as declaring myself a minifigure case expert..... little egotistical sure.... However, I got my new case in today, and the wife helped me tac it up real quick after we got back from dinner (guess who paid). Here it is. I only have shoved 91 minis in here, as I have recently sold about 30 of them (can't resist a quick flip) but eventually I will collect all 500 and counting. EDIT: Forgot to mention when I ordered it, they did the back in a black for me for free.

I've spent most of my money on recently EOL items like Spiderman's Doc Ock Ambush/ Mines of Moria/ Attack of the Warg's / Constitution Train/ and Goblin King. Which has the greatest upside potential? 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush 75005 Rancor Pit 79007 Battle at the Black Gate 79003 An unexpected Gathering Thanks!

I travel a lot for work, frequently flying to Vegas on Southwest Airlines (note that you get two free checked bags on Southwest). On a previous trip I did not pick up a Police Station for $50, because I did not have enough space in my suitcase. On this last trip I managed to find a couple 9468 Vampyre Castles on clearance for $69 at Wal-Mart. I purchased them without hesitation, but soon I got to thinking how in the heck will i get these home with the boxes in decent shape? These are too big for my suitcase, so I figured I would look into shipping them home via UPS. It looked like my best option would cost about $18-$22 for shipping, but I would also have to pay for a b…

  25. Hey all. New here and I did search around for a topic similar to this so sorry if its a repeat. Always been interested in Legos since I was little but I guess you could say I've been out of the game for a long time. Anyway, I really like some of the new stuff like the Architecture theme. I didn't realize Lego was such an investing opportunity until I stumbled upon this site. I'm sure you get out of it what you put in, but I suppose what I am looking to do is pretty much be able to buy sets and break even by buying and selling a couple extra. If this isn't clear, basically buying three sets, saving two to sell and keeping one for myself (buy 3 sets for $20 each…
