Hey gang... I recently posted a listing on CL. Basically several of the sets I posted on here. Wanting to move some Star Wars sets (and even LotR) so that I could get some Haunted Houses before EOL since I don't have as much space for a bunch of smaller sets. Going big or going home. I got this trade offer last night (all NISB) My (1) 7879 Hoth Echo Base + (1) 9516 Jabba's Palace for his (1) 4184 Black Pearl or ~$150 + ~$150 = ~$250 I will note that the Echo Base was more like $130 when I posted the listing. Now as far as what I have in them... I bought both at retail direct from Lego. So I have like $89 and $119 in both sets. Just…

  2. So I got into a bidding war with someone over FB market and ended up getting this lot for $100. Guy was originally asking $60. From the listing I immediately saw Black Pearl pieces (sails, hull pieces). The lot is easily 100 pounds. Quickly going through I located 2 Queen Anne Sails ( I have a full set from last bulk lot I bought) and the Angelica figure (pieces for now) so I believe there is a Queen Anne's mixed in too. Here's are some photos. Could anyone help with what other sets might be mixed in. There are no instructions or boxes. The only nearly complete set was the Mil Falcon. I was able to quickly located then Davy Jones figure but haven't fo…

I am in the process of acquiring these Lego sets. He is asking $1000.. If I buy them today (maybe in next 3 hours) and as a lot. No boxes, but states all are complete and with manuals. Thoughts? $1000 is not a small amount to shell out at once.

I found a lot on Craigslist for $400 that includes a number of minifigs, complete Indiana Jones sets (instructions no boxes), and loose bricks (he claims some misc Star Wars. The lot is 15lbs. I am pretty new to this but it appears that there are some rare minifigs. Is the minifigs market good? Am I seeing a Cloud City Boba Fett? The Indiana Jones numbers are: 7623, 7621, 7622, 7199, 7682, 7198 and 7197. I know the Indiana Jones sets have enough value to pay for a good chuck of the lot (assuming they sell). My plan would be to flip most of this lot to buy sets for my personal collection.

Any reason I shouldn't jump at this?

  10. Well I received some random, unexpected news today. One of my wife's co-workers is looking to unload a sealed (supposedly) 10019 Rebel Blockade Runner. The dude is a huge SW/scifi fan that has a good chunk of his house dedicated to various collectables...sadly very little Lego. Darn. Anyways, he's looking to sell this set for a "reasonable price". The tentative plan for the Tantive is for me to head over to his place this weekend to take a look at the set and potentially make an offer (note to self: I should bring beer). Is there anything I should look out for with a set of this age? Different productions runs? Colored vs black-and-white box? What would you…

  13. It's local, no shipping or extras. Would you bite? Flip, build or keep long term? Wife might hurt me, but I'm up about $1k this month so it wouldn't be for long. :)

I'm hoping to get some help on a buy I found on Craigslist. I offered 800 on a set with unopened bags and they immediately said yes. He said tape had been peeled back but bags were never opened... How and where can I find out how many bags should be there and what they look like? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks Matt

  17. I have an oppurtunity to buy the green grocer and cafe corner for 1100 with no box or instructions 100% complete. Is this at a good price point for an investment or no?

  18. Started by StarPod,

I've been looking into this set a lot recently. It has gained 70% in the last year. If he's featured in one of the new films he will be a gold mine. Unless they release a new improved version that doesn't fall and break and die Anyways I just got 2. Hopefully my effect pays off

Just agreed on a price for these 2 sets in one buy. But now I am afraid the 10190 is too good to be true. Good it be a fake or a copy? Any tips to look for when I pick up the sets?

Rookie investor here...any advice on whether I should buy the Pet Shop currently on sale for $159.99? Normal retail is $199.99 here in CAN. Space is not an issue, just on the fence whether this set will gain enough over the next year or so for a 'quick flip'. Buy 1-2 sets or should I invest cash else where? Thanks inadvance for input.

My contact is able to get me the Sidney Opera House for $270 tonight. I am getting some other sets from him and I asked him to bring it down in case I want to make the buy. Is $50 off retail worth the buy?
