Here is the news article on BrickSet. Same Swiss site publishes Legends of Chima, too! Also, two more SUPER HEROES sets, almost all of the TECHNIC sets, all STAR WARS sets (except the "Planets"), and two more CITY sets have images and links! I updated the list of 2013 sets to match. Well, now we finally get to see 'the NINJAGO replacement'. What do you think? Edit: Hang on, I quite literally JUST found pics and confirmed dates for the STAR WARS "Planets", too! GrooveBricks - Star Wars Planets Series 3 & 4 Series 3 by January, Series 4 by March.

For some time, every time that I have heard the Legend of Chima mentioned, it's been half joke, half cautionary tale. The conventional wisdom says stay away, stay far away. There's a few people that are wild enough, dangerous enough or wily enough to have made some money on Chima. They say buy cheap enough and you can make money on anything. I began to wonder about the non-licensed LEGO Intellectual Properties. What is it that makes Chima such poison? Why are these LEGO sets reviled? I felt like I had to know more. I felt like I had to understand what makes one series less desirable than another. I decided to start with what I know of Chima. In the early days, LEGO w…

I recall reading a little post on another site about some polar bear polybag for Chima being found at Target a couple days ago and I believe this it. Be sure to check all the usual areas of the checkout aisles and seasonal candy section besides the main Lego lane. Source

I saw Walmart had a rollback online and in selected location on the Lion Temple. I inputed the price on Amazon where I found it cheaper. Within 15 minutes, Amazon marked it down to 99.88 if anyone is interested. No sales tax and free shipping. LINK TO WALMART: LEGO Chima The Lion CHI Temple Amazon link

This set is labelled as Retiring soon. Overall its a pretty cool set, decent piece count and 5 minifigs. From what I see it's not available at the other retailers and it is 20% off at LEGO. Who knows what it will do once it goes EOL, but it looks like it's shelf life will soon come to an end. If this was mentioned already in other posts, I will delete this. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/The-Croc-Swamp-Hideout-70014

This morning, The Brick Fan announced that Amazon released an image of the Chima "Sticker Storybook". On the front, it shows a scorpion, and to the back right, it shows a spider. What do you think of these minifigures? Are you planning on getting them?

Is 70009 going to retire early? I know its only been out since the summer of 2013 but will it be retiring in June. But the set has been dropping in price at all retailers. Now its even cheaper then it was before Christmas. Target has it for $35.99 plus if you buy a second one you get an extra 30% off of one. That is way below 50% off. Amazon put it at $35 too but is sold out now. Also Chima is doing poorly and it seems that Lego is retiring the sets within the first year. Hence Equila's Ultra Striker, Eris' Eagle Interceptor, Chi Battles, Eagles' Castle, and Almost all of the speedorz are retired too. I really like this set. It comes with a bunch of figures, all uni…

I believe these Chima sets could be a good investment after 15 years because when those kids are grown up they will try to collect the toys they played with? Thoughts?

Episode 1: The Legend of Chima http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUtCpdpTV6g Episode 2: The Great Story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U-NokkZFTE Episode 3: The Warrior Within http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLYL00BKovk Episode 4: The Joyride http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foB22CC2QJE The rest of the episodes have to be hypertext links as I cannot get them to embed no matter what I do. Hopefully the links even load up as they are from a site I've never heard of. Episode 5: Market Day Episode 6: Attack on Eagle Spire Episode 7: The Hundred Year Moon Episod…

What's going on with this set? I am looking at the price guide and it's showing a CAGR of 40% and a new price of $56. Looking at sold ebay listings I am seeing nothing close to these numbers. What am I missing?

Just wondering about this set here. Its performance suddenly rocketed in January and is doing a whole lot better compared to other Speedorz sets. Anybody have any clue as to what happened to cause this? It seems funny how one specific Speedor set can out-perform all the others

Considering that the next (second) wave of "Speedorz" is coming out around March, this may be a good enough time as any to discuss the investment possiblities of the first wave before they are completely sold out or at the least become very difficult to find. The first starter set, 70113 "Chi Battles", was sold out at Wal-Mart and I only saw one left on the rack at Target. And both retailers had just a few left of set 70100 "Ring of Fire" with Razar. For anyone that followed NINJAGO, doesn't this sound awful familiar? You won't get anything on current value for these now if you look them up in the price guide, and I think if you wait around to, it will be too late. Yes,…

I don't have any Chima sets in my collection and am not interested in it for myself, but I found 70003 for $19.99. Is it worth it to pick up and hold for investment?

I wonder what's in this box? My college roommate lives in Vietnam and he sent me this picture of a building set he found in a store there. Crazy how much companies operating in lax regulatory environments can get away with. This sort of crap has got to drive TLG insane!

http://www.insidethemagic.net/2013/03/the-world-of-chima-announced-as-legoland-florida-expansion-to-open-july-2013-with-interactive-water-ride-quest-for-chi/ This can only help with investments IMO. Plus they have a DVD coming out this month. Interest will be picked up in no time. I'll keep pushing it on my son.
