Hi everyone. Im a 24 year old dane, who live near Billund where Lego originated. Ive worked at Lego a few years back, and was employed in 2008 at their 50th anniversary. Back then, when working for lego, you got some privileges at buying some thing before others. So, I have this book: "LEGO Collector's Guide - Premium Edition" art.number: 810004, still mint in box, never been opened. Im thinking of selling it, but I can't seem to find any information of how much its worth. Ive looked at local online auctions, ebay etc. but can't find it anywhere.

Hey everyone, I'm a long time LEGO addict, mainly into Technic and Mindstorms, lately also classic brick building. I come from Slovenia and I'm currently a student. I bought my UCS Falcon couple of years ago and I saw how the prices had risen since it went EOL. Even though I don't want to sell it, I decied to invest some cash into other sets, to fund my MOCing hobby. Soon, I found Brickpicker.com. The rest, as they say, is history :D

Hello everyone. Im new to Lego investing and I just stumbled on this very interesting and informative website. I never knew that a site existed that was all about Lego investing, complete with graphs, values etc. just like watching the stock market. Here in Hawaii Lego prices are above the MSRP just like everything else. So finding good deals, including clearance items are very hard. Finding Lego sets are also hard to find. I did manage to get these to start my Lego investing today. Im not going to go heavy on this investing thing. Just a little here and there. Let me know what you guys think of these buys... These were bought at Walmart clearance: MF T…

Hi All, I recently got the Tower Bridge for Christmas and since have been on a LEGO buying and building spree. It's really amazing how much bigger these sets have gotten since my childhood, and it is so cool that there are LOTR sets! Does anyone here open their sets and build them with the intention of flipping them in a few years?

New guy brought here by the EOL rumors of Jabba's Palace. I loved Legos as a kid and have picked up small sets here and there for the minifigs (mostly SW). The past month I jumped in pretty hardcore picking up the Palace and of course needed the Rancor pit and skiff to match! haha! I also picked up a B-Wing on the 4th and have come across some of the Monster sets on clearance which I quickly added being a fan of the old school monster movies. Looking forward to learning a lot and enjoying this hobby AND hopefully making good investments. Thanks!

Hello! I'm LFoW. I'm an AFOL, builder, minor collector, MFZ player, and recently started investing/flipping LEGO sets for fun and profit. I come from a Kickstarter funded tabletop game by the name of Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack, a game where you command a squad of giant (but small scale) robots built from LEGO! You use them as game pieces in an 11 round tactical scramble across terrain (also made of LEGO) to blow up your enemy and take their stations while defending yours. The game got me back into my LEGO habit. I frequently update a Flickr page showcasing my work, and can be found on here, Toys ****** Bricks forums, as well as the Mobile Frame Hangar foru…

Hey, I've been playing with legos for 8+ years, I've been collecting for a year, and trading for about four years. I started a city back in november 2012, and I'm almost done with the neighborhood. I have a small civilian population, a large police force, and a medium military force. Most sets that I get I modify, and some I part out. I just started collcting collectable minifigures a few weeks ago and got addicted. I also have a medieval setting, including knights, dragons, and other mystical creatures.I have apporximately(based on brickset) 20,000 pieces, and 600 minifigures, the worth of them is about $1,800 but I only spent about $1,000 on it, getting some from goodwi…

Hi everyone, Just to drop by to say hello to everyone, call me mizu will do. I'm 33 and my first encounter on LEGO was I'm in primary school at age 9, was impressed and love the design by LEGO at that time. While growing up, I'm not really collected much for LEGO....but recently I have bought some on the superheroes theme which I found the design was good and nice. As for now, I feel LEGO did a great job.....and I believe many of the product will be added in to my collection. Hope that can get more information here...and happy collecting to you all. Cheers!

Well howdy everyone. Just getting back to Lego and alternate bricks. My name is George and I am 66 years old. Never too old to enjoy Lego. Figuring out how to build something keeps the mind sharp! Use it or lose it! That includes your mind!I am not a Lego purist but lean heavily towards Lego being my first choice. My area is trains. Been out for several years but can't resist the urge to return. Last couple of years, pared down the collection by selling off things I wish I hadn't but needed to make room for new other model railroad hobby stuff. If I had waited could have sold them for much more. Am surprised to see where Lego prices are going. To buy a set and set it asi…

Hello everyone! Just though I'd introduce myself. My name is Michael and I am currently studying in Iowa. New to the Lego investing scene, but I am an avid researcher and willing to take a chance on things that look promising. I am a huge fan of the Star Wars, Architecture, and Creator sets. Hope I can make some great friends here and have fun with a great hobby that I've grown up with Best regards, Michael

Hello, I am 23, from Iowa and was a big fan of LEGO when I was younger. Also, a huge fan of Star Wars, so that worked out well. I recently got back into LEGO with the release of the SSD, and subsequent discovery of all the UCS Star Wars sets and their crazy appreciation. My best friend has the Tie Interceptor that his parents bought him when we were 11. I wanted to purchase the Super Star Destroyer, but couldn't bring myself to spend the $400, so I settled for the Imperial Shuttle, which I am building for the second time now. Last fall I purchased the B-Wing when they were giving away the TC-14 with it, but I have thus far left it in the box. Definitely enjoy bui…

Been lurking for a while and just thought I'd say hi. Was a humongous fan of Lego as a kid, and just recently got back into it with the LOTR and Monster Fighters sets which are pretty awesome. I am kicking myself now for not getting back into it sooner. I'm a big Indiana Jones and Star Wars fan too, and I hate it I missed so many good sets....

Well, after a few months reading only the forum, here am I. I came back from my dark ages thanjs to my son (sound like a very common story amongst AFOLs). My main interests are classic space, trains (old and new) and techic and various impressive sets from different themes. So my "investments" are from these themes only. I'm using "investment" with quotes, as I'm probably more of the collector type. I started thinking that some of the sets Lego is offering to us these days may be enjoyed by my son when he'll be a little older (he's still busy with Duplos), so I bought them now and did not build them... yet. Then I started bying multiple copies of some of those sets,…

Hi everyone! I'm a Belgian AFOL temporarily living in France but I will be moving back to Belgium in a few weeks... Back to the country without any Lego brand store! Ahh! I came out of my dark ages about two years ago. I'm a LEGO fan in the first place, but I've already bought and resold several sets (both MISB and used) with a nice profit. I love how this Lego hobby often pays for itself. :-) Now that I'm moving back to Belgium, I will get my storage space back, so I'm planning to invest a little more in the near future. Looking forward to talking to everyone here along the way! PS: I'm actually a female Lego investor, which seems to be a bit of a rarity around …

Hello everyone, I joined a few weeks ago and have to say I appreciate all the valuable information from this forum, esp. discussions regarding lego investment! I had lego sets when I was young and am now beginning to come back to appreciate the revamped and modernized lines of lego. After a decade of lego hiatus, I bought my first set of 10212 Imperial Shuttle and immediately fall in love with playing /building lego again. I especially appreciate UCS sets and the Creator series (3-in-1). (5765 Transport Truck is my favorite so far). Looking forward to getting to know you all. Go brick!

Hi all, just wanted to drop a note and say hello to all my fellow LEGO investors out there! Love the site, but was wondering if there is anything in the works to price out individual minifigures from sets, not just the collectible ones. I see people selling Star Wars, Super Heroes, etc. all over and would like to get a more accurate gauge of worth for just the one minifig as opposed to the whole set. Is that something in the works for BP?

Hi everyone, I just joined a few days ago, and I'm enjoying looking around the site. Lots of good information! Lego was one of my favorite toys as a child, and I still love them. I only recently decided to start buying them again. I've started with the Lord of the Rings, some to build and a few extra to keep mint for resale later. I'm hoping to expand to other themes as I can afford it. Hopefully what I learn here will help me make some extra cash to invest in more Lego! I look forward to getting to know you all. :)

Well my investor story started (or didn't) about 5 years ago when the missus and I took at trip to disney in florida. Of course we spent hours at the lego store and I spent a bunch of time looking at the UCS MF thinking "I really need to get that" unfortunately that trip drained the budget and I was without the MF Fast forward to current time and I look at what those are going for now and i haven't stopped kicking myself yet. But it has lead me to a new investing hobby I'm really enjoying. With a little luck I'll be able to make it profitable and if not, it looks like I'm going to have lots of building to do.

Hello fellow LEGO lovers! Especially you AFOL Geeks! It's good to finally feel at home! My wife and I have two boys that sucked us in to the realm of LEGO, and there's been no turning back since! We sell 'reconditioned' sets to help afford the investment side of the 'business'. It's just one more piece of that investment pie! Lovin' every minute of it! Amazing site, endless useful information, and priceless in-sight from people in the know!
