Hi, found this site a few weeks ago after reading some story about how it's easy to make money with Legos. I've never really played with them, I actually think they're stupid, but if I can make some extra money from them it doesn't matter what I think. My name is Mike, but my friends call me Zod cause I look like Terence Stamp in Superman II. Some of my favorite movies are anything Star Trek, 12 Monkeys, and Stargate. TV shows I like are The Following, Ghost Hunters and How I Met Your Mother. Favorite group is Big Tymers - they're from New Orleans! Enough about me, my question is what should I buy? Like I said, I don't like Legos so they're all the same to me. Is…

Hi guys! I am new to this forum although I am already being member of other LEGO forums (Eurobricks, Brickset, Rebrick...). People may know my "stuff" tho: for example, in case you are using BlueRender for your LDD models' renders then I am the author of its MOD adding all those realistic stuff to it (brick seams, slope grains, real glass, logo-on-studs, color shadows from trans parts, proper materials, lights advanced options and much more) + I am author/developer of somewhat already a bit known LEGO Space pseudo subtheme called Techtroners (if you've never heard about it you can check it on my official webpage: http://lego.queryen.com). Also I am owner of…

Hey everyone! So... I generally live in Cancun, grew up in Miami, have a longtime gf studying her PhD in Portugal, have lived in Montreal, and have a brother at UBC in Vancouver I've been wanting/meaning to get by brickfolio updated as I think it's an awesome idea, but just musing about the internet watching youtube videos made me want to start a 'wishlist' for sets on here. I then realized that I can't seem to find this function anywhere. Does it exist? If so, it'd be great to be able to click + add sets when searching for their value. Anyway, hope to be a bit more active in the community. Only ever wanted Lego sets as a kid, and no…

Hi all, my name is Matt, I'm from Leicestershire in the UK and I'm new to collecting and investing. I've been lurking on here for a few weeks and looking forward to being part of the community I recently cleared out a lot of stuff via eBay have brought myself a few sets to build over the next few months including the black pearl and the haunted house. Looking forward to building those, I really enjoyed building the queen annes ship I brought last year. Investment wise I have a few Star Wars ucs sets and was very lucky to get the last tumbler at my local smyths toy store.

Hi everyone! I grew up playing with LEGO for years and years and have recently wanted to get back into collecting LEGO again as an AFOL (these acronyms aren't too bad!). Not knowing where to even begin, I wandered into my local Target store to browse some sets, decided to buy nothing, then wandered over to two separate LEGO Stores and made a few purchases to build my personal collection. Excited, I came home and wanted to dive into more and research a bit about the LEGO community on the internet. I recently stumbled across the Brickpicker community when I was fumbling around webpages exploring my desire to get back into LEGO. What an amazing community with tons of gr…

So digging in my closet I found my autographed Kidsfest program from 2013, and I have not been able to find any others online. Would this be worth anything?

Greetings everyone, I'd like to introduce myself after a few weeks of silent reading. I came out of my dark age last year and first started building a few models again (Creator Expert line and Star Wars UCS), and then stumbled upon the investment scene. I don't consider myself a big investor, I'm in it more for the fun of collecting and the occasional couple 100 Euros a year for investment. I'm 31 years old and live in Regensburg in southern Germany. I've already learned a lot from this site and I'm looking forward to a lot more to discover here

Hello, I'm Steve and I live on the south coast of the UK. Unknowingly, I've been a Lego collector my whole life. I've always been a bit of a pedant when it comes to keeping boxes and instructions and so on, but this really did come into my favour when I sold my Technics collection. I had about 2/3rds of the Technics collection from my childhood, from 1977-1987, all neatly stored in boxes with instructions and (most!) of the parts. When time came to think of what to do with it all to clear some space in the loft I decided that it would best be presented as a complete collection of 10 years worth of Lego Technics, and so sought all the sets that I was missing. I a…

Hi, I am Dokter_BRICK, and I come from France ! I love Legos since I am 3yo, and specially Star Wars stuff. Hi, first post here. I allways liked lego's but I heard and read stories about how investing in lego's can bring nice returns. I'm sure I need to do a lot of research here. But I would like some good positive advice on how to make lego investing work. My main plan right now is to buy star war lego's. I will buy them new and store them in the new box for maybe 5 or 10 years. Is this a good strategy. Should I concentrate on certain different sets. I figure anything star wars would sell? Please any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone! After several weeks lurking on the site, I can see what a bustling community this is and am eager to join in. My name is Andrew, 29, and I am based in Leamington Spa, UK A fan of Lego all my life, first set I can recall getting was 6959 - Lunar Launch Set (still have it!) After coming into some spare cash at the start of 2016 and thinking I should be a grown up and turn this into more money, whilst simultaneously wanting a new fun hobby to kick start the year, I thought: let's combine the both! Thus, the Lego investment journey begins. I have spent c.£300 so far this year on sets to retain, many of which on the back of experiences …

Hi, I'm a 41 y/o father of 2. One likes everything Star Wars while the other one likes Friends. Used their love for Lego as an excuse to ask for the AT-AT for X-mas (which I did receive) and bought my wife the Friends Hotel. Still have some sets from the late 80's (with box and booklet....Thank you Mom!!). When my wife started selling her old Care Bears on Ebay, I offered to be her Lego consultant Was a pretty easy sell as she was already regretting not purchasing 2 AT-AT when she bought mine for X-Mas, having realized that Lego can really go up in value. (Little side story - I found, and bought, an AT-AT at my local TRU Wednesday evening!!). Really …

This site was brought to my attention from a family member / avid Lego aficionado. I am very eager and interested in learning more about the pursuit in Lego collecting and had to go dig out my 5 year old opened box series 2 mini figures (removed 1 complete set for myself of course) before registering. After reading a blog on this site I ran out and purchased a couple of goodies, in my opinion: 42036 Street Motorcycle, mainly because I have been riding motorcycles for over 20 years 21301 Ideas Birds - well these just look like very nice set of Lego birds I look forward to reading much more material on this site and will learn quite a bit I …

Hi there, just wanted to say hello and, more importantly, thank everyone for all of the wonderful information! I have a large Pirate and Castle collection dating back to my childhood in the early and mid 90s and came across this website last fall. Had some fun building my portfolio just for kicks, but discovered the real value of the site later when I was deciding on the merits of buying a large collection of used sets. Went for it after doing my research here and flipped them on eBay and nearly doubled my money! But it was only the past month or so that I really started getting into the wealth of knowledge on the forums and I have really enjoyed perusing all the insights…

Hellooo! I'm new to here. I like collecting Lego and this is my first time realize Lego has invest value! I love those "big" and nice detailed Lego sets. I don't think I could hold one set for such a long time without open and build it :D, so I'm a more collector then investor.

Hi everyone, After lurking for weeks, I decided to introduce myself over here. Nothing fancy about me tho, I went out of dark age like half a year ago when I recovered old sets I've had when I was younger. Now I'm 32, and I'm still wondering why I lost interest in Legos ... I'm not an "investor" yet, but that activity tickles me enough to make me wanna spend time around here. I don't plan to really make money off investing but rather help myself finance the sets I want to buy for myself. Anyway glad I discovered this community, there are many good reads over here. See you !

Hello! After browsing for a few weeks, being a huge Star Wars & LEGO fan since I was 5 or 6 (and now 26!), I have decided to make an account & hopefully be active & learn more & share! My name is James, live in the Florida panhandle (destin/pensacola/Panama city general area). I also have a quick question, was doing some browsing on the lego.com site. I noticed tthat they are including with my order - #5004388 nexo knights intro pack. What is this about & any collectible interest/value? Thanks in advance for your time & I look forward to being a part of the community! V/R, James
