I was in TRU today and was told by one of the higher-ups in the store that TRU will announce this week that they will be closing several stores throughout the country. There will be large markdowns taking place Tue/Wed/Thu evening, and stores have already rec'd tags to markdown merchandise 30/50/70%, although the selection of merchandise marked down, and the % discount will ultimately vary by store, thus deals will be YMMV. With that being said, I don't know what is going to be marked down, as TRU clearance typically has a very poor selection, so it could turn out to be a bunch of crap put on sale. I have had great packaging w TRU but the more expensive the set, the worse shape they are upon arrival. The top is the original and the bottom is the replacement. ..not sure which is worse. I cannot even fathom why someone would even waste the time to ship it in the first place.

I had two large purchases where I was able to use the no interest financing for 6 months.... But they are charging me interest on these interest free promotional balances. I guess I'm posting this for two reasons. 1. Check your bills, I understand how this stuff works and TRU is not doing it correctly. I have used the promotional financing on other CCs with no problem before. 2. Has anyone else seen this? I am going to have to call and deal with it today which is a PITA. :-(

Has anyone tried to do a price match for a fulfillment by Amazon product?

I received my first rewards coupons in the mail today. Two $5 rewards that expire on 3/15/14 and another two $5 rewards that can be used from 3/16/14 - 3/31/14. Is this normally how they send out rewards? You have to use them within a two week window? That seems really lame.

I started this discussion in the daily deals forum today but finally found the right forum for it.. I tried returning some lego i bought at a higher price earlier (with receipt and within their 90 day window). When the associate rings up the return, the register spits out a message saying "customer's return limit has been reached." He said he's never seen this on a "with receipt" purchase, although he's seen it on people without receipt trying to use an ID card to return. So I recently bought toys r us/ babies r us gift cards, to use on online purchases with deals like the current BOGO, the gift cards had a little more value then what I had purchase them for, so I would be saving I thought in the long run. I have tried 3 times to place orders twice on sunday and once today, the orders do not go through. The transaction amount is decucted from the balance but no receipt of purchases. They call this Ghost order or Ghosting. I feel like they are defrauding me. I used internet explorer on sunday and chrome today. I have called toys r us and they reloaded the card once on sunday before it happened again. And now I have called again…

Just got an email with a 20% off your next toy purchase read all the fine print it does say excludes hard to find. But doesn't say it is just for one item and not sure if it stacks with current lego sale. Anyone else get one?

I'm out of town on business, and the local ToysRus has a ton of great sets....Helms Deep, 4 Vampyre Castles, numerous retired sets. But, they are all so far over retail. I've never seen anything like it. HD is $149.99. Vampyre Castle is $119. Hoth Echo Base is $119. Lone Ranger Train is $109. Uruk-Hai Army is $49 I realize why this store has just about everything still on the shelf. Just trying to figure out how to get them for less.

Is there anyway to use the rewards points online in conjunction with another tru sale? I cannot get both to stack. I was thinking of calling an order in to see if I can get the current promotion and some rewards points to work. Anybody try this?

I recieved my HD replacement from TRU since the original had a big tear in it. The replacement is all taped up, seals broke and bags open. Anyone had a similar experience? Oh.and I have a mini tow truck pancakes for two

Picked up a logging truck in store, everything looked fine but I got home and it had been opened.... It looks like everything is still there in sealed bags... Whats their return policy on opened Legos? I'd like to swap it out since my plan was to keep it on the shelf for a while
