So, I've noticed that Amazon is adding shipping charges to about half of my one-click orders. I have a Prime Account and I've tried both the 2-day and standard shipping option defaults. According to their info page, if you select the standard shipping option and are eligible for free 2-day, it will upgrade for free. But I got charged just last night for standard shipping, so it doesn't seem to care. When I notice it adds it, I've been able to go to the order page and select 2-day shipping for free without any problem -- or select another shipping option and then go back to free 2-day. My latest Amazon order was shipped with OnTrac (a west coast service, don't know if they've expanded further yet). Amazon has been using them for all of my orders recently, and presumably a lot of other people's 2 day Prime orders. It's been working fine, until this time. Package didn't show up on time today, I called tonight, and the CS lady basically told me it'll get here when it gets here, she has no idea when that might be because the local hub is "busy" and "some people were out last week". Im not sure if this applies to other themes, but I've noticed the City themed boxes that I've gotten from Amazon UK have different graphics than City themed boxes that come from US retailers. For ex here are the UK and US boxes for City Excavator Transport. My question is, how do people handle this when posting listings? If all the other listings show the US box as their preview picture and I post the UK box for my preview picture, do I run the risk of buyers assuming mine is some sort of counterfeit ? Would I be better off using a stock photo instead? Do I mention the difference in my description? Or, am I worrying about nothing?

Well I have a dilemma on my hands. My amazon quick picks just put 10240 Red 5 in my box at 5% off. I know its not a lot $189 vs $199 but it is a deal for a UCS which doesn't go on sale any more. But it has just been released and has a long life ahead. I'm very tempted but its just not that good of a deal. Thoughts?

I cannot help but laugh over this. Amongst my last order from Amazon.co.uk was a few boxes of the 9461 Swamp Creature set. Instead of placing them in the box with the rest of the Lego, someone with a far greater intellect than I possess decided to put the sets into their dvd boxes. Needless to say they didn't fit properly, so needed to be pushed down a bit just to squish in.....

Hey, hopefully someone could help me. A Lego log cabin came in the mail today; however, I've never had a package damaged as badly as this from amazon. Despite the perfect packaging (best I've ever gotten from amazon), they shipped me an item with a hole it the middle of the box! I don't want to return it since I wanted to keep one to build. I had someone request a return on amazon.ca and never had this happen before. Do I need to do anything? Do I get dinged for shipping costs back to me?

So I sold a $180 item, FBA. Immediately on the order I see a refund of $88.32 (before the item is even shipped) (The item still hasn't even been delivered) I contacted Seller Support and they told me the item was found "defective" during shipping so they refunded the buyer $88.32 to make them happy and still shipped the item anyways. I am completely lost: 1. Why would they not cancel the order and place the item in unsellable inventory. 2. How on earth did my item get received as Sellable and then turn into "Defective" How improper does it seem to just send a known "defective" item to the customer and throw money their way before they have even r…

Can anyone share with me their experiences with selling on Amazon. I sold some stuff years ago and am now thinking of listing some items on there again. I know their policies and prices have changed. I am getting tired of the ebay fees and more the people purchasing on there trying to scam. I am wondering if it makes sense to sell and ship self, or if there is a way to send them all items and fulfill for you. What are the cost benefits or lack off from either way. I glanced through the prior topics, but didn't see anything specific to Amazon FBA (Fullfillment By Amazon). If there was and I missed it, I apologize. I'm looking to sell some Lego sets using the Amazon FBA service and was wondering if anybody has had any experience good or bad selling through FBA. My concerns are that I have to put an FBA label over the barcode on the box. Not sure how a collector would feel about having to remove it and potentially damage the box. I tried...really I did. Ordered ONE Friends Dolphin Cruiser from Amazon. First delivery both the outer and inner box were stepped on. Second try, exterior box great, Lego box had ripped corner. Third try today...see photo. Note the gaping hole. Exterior box fine, but whoever packed it did not pay much attention. Amazon is going to make it right... but this is tiresome.
