What shipping service do you use to ship internationally? What service offers the best rates along with tracking/insurance options? Thanks in advance for the replies, my wife and I are long term sellers on Ebay and have shipped things via the USPS but recently have had problems with buyers claiming items haven't arrived or they let the stuff sit in customs and we get it back after 3-6 months. Of course Ebay requires us to refund the buyer in all cases since they claim they didn't get their item. Just wondering how others deal with this.

Tried searching and came up with zilch, so here goes. Have several extra large and small instruction manuals (as well as some Nintendo NES game manuals ) and wondering the best way to ship them. The USPS cardboard envelopes (not sure of the name) are priority mail and seem expensive for manuals that only cost a few bucks. So how would you fine gentlemen go about shipping them in an acceptable and economic way? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi there, I'm realizing that I have more legos than space, and am wanting to dispose of a fair number of sets, maybe about 30-50, without having to list them all. What's the best way people have found to do that? Craigslist? D

Ok, so many of you have seen my troubles with my Lego Availability and basically being restricted to just Walmart as my only physical store to visit for Clearance. I would love to have suggestions as to how I can save the most money ordering online. If I have to drive to Memphis, TN (2 hr drive) to hit Targets/TRU/WalMarts, I'll spend 4 hrs roundtrip traveling, and of course $$$ in gas. I know to watch Amazon. I'm not really familiar with shopping Amazon.Uk yet, but I'm going to make that a new way to check for deals. I know I can get Walmart to ship to store (crap) , or ship to my house... Target the same. What other ways can I save? Special Cre…

Does anyone have any good experience or advice on this? I really want to start selling worldwide, but it seems that eBay will not protect the seller if the item can not be tracked with a delivery confirmation. eBay offers USPS services but I'm not sure that you are protected with their services. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm considering opening a Bill Me Later account to take advantage of the current promotion running where you get $10 ebay bucks credit and 50% more in ebay bucks on that purchase. I would pay it off immediately so this is only to take advantage of the promotion. A few questions for anyone that has used Bill Me Later before. Is this deal a good one or do they offer better? What is your experience with BML? Do you close your account after paying it off or do you leave it open? Any potential pitfalls to avoid? Thanks.

So I am new to investing in Legos, and I only just remembered a few bionicles I got when i was much younger that were collecting dust up in my room. I never opened them since I was really more of a star wars guy, but now I am hoping to sell them. Unfortunately, I've never sold anything online before and I can't find any completed listings on ebay that are like what I have so I was hoping someone here could help me out. I have 3 bionicles, namely 8589, 8588, and 8592 all factory sealed in perfect condition aside from a little dust haha. They look like they might be worth something like 8-15 each, but would it be better to sell all three at the same time? And if so for a…

Coming up shortly will be my first Black Friday since becoming an investor/collector. Can anyone who has been in the game longer than I have tell me typically what to expect on this crazy stupid day when it comes to LEGOs........what types of deals, where the best deals usually are ect. Is it even worth going out into the public and dealing with all the lines/crowds?

This is my 4th year doing this, and I've noticed that when the Black Friday deals were plentiful (i.e. last 2 years), there wasn't as much clearance items. Black Friday 2017 was pretty good in that I found lots of stuff at over 30% off, while many of the sets I liked were hovering around 20% off or less in 2018. However, I did like all the deals on the exclusives this year. It seemed in my first year, the deals seemed to be coming out of the woodwork after Black Friday and after Christmas. I wonder if it will be that way this year, with lots of stuff on clearance. Any thoughts?

I recently bought the set and being an absolute completest, I like to have the "extra items" that came with the set. Can someone tell me how many "Plastic Flag 8 x 5 with White Skull and Crossed Cutlasses Pattern" parts came with the set? Did it come with 3 total?

Hey, guys, I have bought bricks for MOC here and there and tried a couple of times using bricklink ordering some big chunks of pieces. In general, the sellers are quick in their shipping and handling and I do not seem to have any issue with any. Lately I order two $30-$40 lots and have found something interesting. This seller indicates the shipping/handling takes 5-10 days on the store page. I was okay with it. Given that the pieces I ordered are for some MOC I planned doing for Christmas gift, I placed my order in Oct. Then, I waited 3 weeks before contacting the seller that I did not receive anything yet and finally I received my package sent with a priority 2-day…

What are some strategies that you use to keep your shipping costs down? I keep as many of the boxes used to send items as I can, but sometimes, that is impossible. Also, sometimes boxes are far too big for the item that was sent. Where do you get cheap boxes that will work for your shipping needs?

I was wondering what general practices everyone used for shipping their items. I am curious if uline is the best place to get boxes or if people just generally reused boxes they get from places like Amazon. Uline's prices seem reasonable, but the quantities you have to buy are kind of steep. I guess if I end up going that route, I will just measure some of my boxes to find sizes that fit multiple sets. On the other hand, Amazon's boxes feel cheap and flimsy and I am not sure they would make it through 2 shipments without damaging the item inside. Just wondering what kind of luck others have had.

I apparently won the buy box overnight on 40121 Easter, and Amazon sold more than I had. Maybe the velocity was too fast for the inventory tracker to keep up. Does anyone have 2 copies that they would be willing to drop ship for me tomorrow for $30/ea.? Please PM me if you can help. Thx.

I would have thought that assembling them to take a picture for Ebay would be the way to go but I'm seeing that some people think this is a big no no. If you sell new minifigures on ebay what do you recommend? Assembled? Unassembled? Assemble for the photo then break down afterwards? It seems like such a minute detail but I want to get this right. I know there'll be some for one way and some for another - I just want to get an idea of the majority. Thanks! Oh - and if it has accessories - bagged seperately or with the minifig? Its all so complicated!

I see tons of postings on here of people driving around to Walmarts, Targets, Kmarts, Fry's, etc etc to save 10% or 20% off advertised price which is sometimes inflated. Why do people do this? You can easily get better deals online from the comforts of your home and you can buy massive quantities versus the limited supply on the shelves at the stores. Am I missing something? Also, any serious reseller with a fair amount of cash, why not just reachout to the fulfillment centers at Amazon and negotiate a better price if you buy 100x a month, or whatever it may be. I did this out of Avondale, AZ on the 60051, I purchased 100 on June 11th, it took several phone calls from Ken…

Kind of like Life Hacks, but pertaining to our beloved hobby, I thought a thread for simple but useful tricks would be cool. I'll start: Make your own mini "space saver" bags with a ziploc and a straw. Put the pieces into the bag, zip it up with the straw barely inside the bag. Then, suck all of the air out of the bag. Quickly remove the straw and zip up that last bit in the same motion. Now, you have a super-skinny airless bag that won't rattle at all when shipped.

I am thinking about selling a few extra sets, lots, pieces, as I go throughout the year. I wanted your input as to where to devote my time building a store? I really like the Brick Owl user interface and communication from the owner. Responds within minutes on nearly every question or topic. But, I've used bricklink for purchases and it is the "go to" for so many. I know they are "suppose" to be updating their site in the near future. I've seen where people run the same inventory on both stores, I guess that is an option. Where would you put your efforts? This will be something I tinker with over time. Thanks!

Hi guys, I want your opinion. There is a guy on Bricklink selling some old sets I want complete with boxes for a resonable price. Catch is he has zero feedback. Looking around at his store nothing else really throws any red flags up nevertheless the feedback(or lack of it ) concerns me. Does paypal offer protection if it is not an ebay transaction? keen to hear what others think..........
