I've never parted out a set or sold the figures from a set. I'm just wondering if there are sets out there that members are having success parting out? Thanks in advance for posting!

Looking for estimates on how much you wise people would pay for the full inventory of a Bricklink store, where the seller is keen to get rid of it all due to leaving the country (how dodgy does that sound?!) I'm in the UK, the parts are in the UK. Total parts count is 110000 approx. A full range of parts, not just rubbish. Comes with all storage that the seller has been using to run the store. Volume takes up one wall about 2m x 3m x 0.3m deep Looking for just a quick estimate. I normally work at 5p a part, so we're looking at about 5500GBP. Anyone got any thoughts? Buying the stuff to sell on BL and/or ebay

Sorry if there is already a thread on this, but I have made my first sale on Bricklink, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to go about it now and I was hoping some seasoned bricklinkers can help me out. Someone wants to buy a lot of bricks, and it looks like now I have to send them an invoice? But shipping rates are not agreed upon beforehand (like on ebay)? So do I have to send them an Paypal invoice with the shipping cost included, and then send out the stuff when it goes through?

Hello everyone! I need help with finding a site or a good place to sell vintage collectors legos. So if possible, please list good sites or places to sell them. Also, if any of you are interested in knowing what these sets are, just say so in the comments or replies. But please, please, please help with site finding. Attached to this "document" is a picture of one of my sets That set is set #6981. I have over 15 sets with boxes that are ready to be sold. But please help with finding good sites. Thanks!

For anyone who is interested I was forced by my wife to go to Tuesday Morning today and was shocked to see a bunch of Lone Ranger sets, Silver Mine was $39.99, also had Colby City, don't remember the price. They also had a bunch of small friends sets for $6.99 and an entire end cap of Hero Factory for 6.99. Not great pricing, but if you missed out on the Silver Mine or Colby City it's not that bad.

  6. I got these Legos at a yard sale for 25$. There were 4 different bins but the lady didn't want me to take the bins so I stupidly dumped all of them into one bag mixing them up. It came with 3 booklets so I know some of them are from the Lego 7180 Star wars and Droid Developer kit. It also came with a Wave Breaker Mega Block booklet but I have looked through them and there is no megablock pieces in the stash. There also seem to be some egyptian and harry potter pieces but I am not sure if they are all included Here is an album http://imgur.com/a/JH1rT Would it be a better idea to just sell them by the pound? or should I make the effort to identify the parts? In total it…

  7. SO I have been going back and fourth with this set on when might be the best time to think about selling. I believe a new Wolverine set with Magneto and Wolverine comes out later this year. In the mean time, this set is already up around $50 on Ebay and climbing. I am thinking if the new Wolverine sets come out in the fall, this would be a good sell at $60 or more in the summer. But if they come out sooner rather than later, the big time growth could stop. On the other hand, maybe it wont have a huge effect and this set will continue to soar for several years. What are people's thought? Honestly I am bored with the lack of deals lately so I a…

Not sure what to do. I listed a 31313 and someone from Pakistan bought it without using the GSP. I guess its alright since I can still use USPS. My problem is the buyer has 0 feedback. I made sure when I made the listing that it wouldnt sell to anyone with a negative feedback but that didn't stop this guy from buying it since he doesn't have any feedback Im assuming if I cancel it he might put negative feedback on me now. If it wasn't a $350 item and maybe a $50 item I wouldn't worry bout it to much. What would u do in this situation?

I'm going thru, (read building and fighting myself not to keep it all), a really cool vintage lot I got recently from CL. Part of the lot is 4 small sets from the 90's looks like they were part of Kellog promotion series. 1560,61,62,63. Instructions are present. Given that this is a complete collection what are your suggestions on pricing it? There are not many of them on ebay so BP price guide is not helpful, so I'm going to rely on experienced folks here Thanks a lot.

I need to use some Kmart rewards points in the next couple of days and I decided to pick up the Chima gorilla mech and some fillers to get free shipping. Kmart doesn't have too many options. I have narrowed down my three filler options too: 1. Republic Trooper vs sith battlepack 11.36 and Castle Forest Ambush 9.29 total 20.65 2. Shredders Dragon Bike 24.96 3. Sith battlepack and Droidekas battlepack 11.72 for total of 23.08 Which should I go with?

  12. So I have had a couple people ask me - my store is currently on vacation. I am not - just contemplating what I want to do from here. A lot of the time and stress from a store is wearing me down and so I wanted to take a couple of weeks break to re-evaluate what I do, how I do it, and make it better and more manageable. Some people mentioned label printers earlier in another thread and I was intrigued. Looks like a good idea. Basically, from what I can tell, printers are thermal - no ink or toner. You just buy the label paper. You have to get the right ones for certain labels - still working on that info. Anyway - if you have one of these, please share yo…

I purchased the Vampyre Castle from TRU and it came in today. The box is damaged and I am not completely sure the factory tape seal wasn't messed with. As an investor, you need the box to be in mint condition. I was disappointed and don't know now where I can't get another - this was my only VC. Would you take it back?

  15. USPS prices increased today so I thought it may be useful for members to share how they are handling it with regard to selling on ebay. The biggest one for those parting out sets or selling from bulk lots will be first class package increasing from $1.69 to $1.93. I offered free shipping until I got my feedback to a respectable level, then moved to charging for shipping. Will you continue to offer free shipping? Or will you move to charging buyers for shipping charges? Please don't turn this thread into another USPS bashfest, it's not very useful and I think we have enough of them.

Ok - I just started LEGO investing. I have done research and read the many brickvesting articles on this website. I have only purchased complete sets so far. There are so many seasoned investors, sellers and flippers on this website that I have learned a great deal from and hopefully one day - I won't feel like such an amateur. So here I go - another question from the amateur for the many seasoned investors/sellers/flippers out there - where does one begin the LEGO minifigure collection? Which ones should be purchased first? Which ones are easy to flip? Finally, which ones should be bought and held for the long-term? Thanks for all the help.

  19. Hello everyone. New member here. Just started collecting lego for fun a couple months ago. Discovered there are so many awesome sets, and realized I couldn't just keep on buying everything without funding my hobby from other means. So decided to look at investing in sets and sell them at profit, which led me to this awsome site. Anyway, I'm trying to decide if I should go the the pirate ship ambush for 69.99 at TRU (after the $20 discount) or the Vampyre Castle for 89? From where I am (Central IL) the Vampyre Castle is harder to find. But the pirate ship seems to be a very good deal. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I bought a Vampyre Castle in store at TRU but discovered later it was cheaper online so I had one shipped to home. The condition of the box that shipped to home was worse than the one I bought in store. Think I can return the one that shipped to home using the receipt from the in store order without any hassle?

  21. So I had an auction on eBay for simpsons house without minifigs or original box. I sold item , the seller paid and everything was fine. Since the original box was not included in the auction I asked the buyer if they were interested in getting the original box for $12 more because the box was bigger and shipping cost with the original box would be higher. Now the buyer think that I'm ripping on ripping him off because the set didn't have any mini figures or original box and wants to cancel transaction. When i said no returns were the terms.. he said that he will not accept the pavkage when I mail the Lego set out. What do I do now since I have opened the set already.

  22. What are your selling experiences regarding the demand/ value/ buyers' repsonses when it comes to the question of "what kind of new" a set is? Meaning: How successful have you been in selling NEW sets whose contents you DID VERIFY by (opening and) inspecting the box contents vs. selling NEW sets that were 100 % sealed whose contents you DID NOT VERIFY? (The background of my question is the problem of not really being able to know about the condition of contents in boxes with only seals - which could have been tampered with without visual evidence; hence controlling the content yourself before selling as NEW would be the safest was to be absolutely sure.) …

So I have been considering making a trip to some of the stores in my region that I've never been to that are far away. The farthest one is about 2.5 hours away, so stopping at every store would make this a day long trip. I have a hybrid that gets 45-50 mpg on the highway and my route would be V shaped taking one highway north and returning through another highway that will bring me southeast and eventually end in my hometown. I am in the process of locating every Walmart, Target, Kmart, and Toys R Us on my route. I've located over 20 stores on the route so far. The costs are my time, fuel, and the wear on the vehicle. The risk is that I strike out and get nothing fo…

I was in B&****** tonight and there were some sheets of paper temporary taped to the Lego displays. They are obviously for the workers to set up the displays and know where the sets go. I took some photos. Not sure if there is anything we can learn from this but I figured post them in case. Sorry for the quality of the photos. I was getting looks from the employees so I was trying to make it fast.
