Soo, I haven't seen anyone else mention this, please let me know if they have - But I stumbled into a WalMart today that had these "beauties" throughout the store: (Specifically, I am referring to the LCD tags, Kohl's/Macy's style - not the LED bars underneath. Including the Toy section. I chatted with one of the employees, and the prices and such will automatically update, so they no longer have to replace tags. Obviously, this will take some of the advantage away from us who know and share what the prices are ahead of time. No idea how it will handle Clearance items, or if they will still stick Clearance Yellow Tags on the shelf next to clearance items…

I'll cut to it quickly - I have a Finch Dallow and a NISB Darth Revan that I'm looking to turn into more LEGO. I do all of my selling locally, so I haven't jumped into the online game. My goal is to try to use these two figures towards larger Lord of the Rings or Star Wars sets that are on my wanted list. I could sell these on eBay or something and then turn around and buy LEGO, but I'd rather just do a trade. Is there any market for that, or any good community for it? Is there any chance anybody here is interested? If not, any tips to make sure I don't get screwed when selling online as these are single rare items? Thanks for any help!

I have seen some of the trans clear Vaders, Troopers, and C3PO in the past and am looking to collect some of those items. Who else has collected these items and has some advice on how to order them, or where to order them from? Should I order them as whole, or just the unique molded pieces? (Meaning, the torsos and legs may independently be cheaper than a whole Trans Clear Vader.) Thoughts?

Hi All, Been a lurker here for awhile, but signed up to participate as I have a question. I have a variety of sets that I've been selling online through the usual channels, Ebay, Amazon, etc., and read about West End Toys as an option to take everything off my hands and handle the sale and fulfillment directly, but I've heard some comments through the grapevine that the company has some issues. Not sure if these are financial problems, management problems or just bad communication as I wasn't given much in the way of specifics, but figured the community here is the best place to ask since I'm sure there are some West End Toys vendors here who have sold through them. …

All the sets are not in the photos too many,Message if any interest. The range on Lego.com was around $27,000 and Amazon $28,000.This check was before the price hikes. Hi all! New to the forums here but a life long Lego fan. Long story short, I was helping my "Aunt" (she's really my cousin) pack up her house and came across a couple of boxes filled with NOS Lego System by Samsonite supplemental sets from 1961 in great condition. Her mother and father owned a toy store and this must've been left over stock that ended up in her storage for the last 60 years. Anyway, my Aunt asked me to sell them for her. So I have a large lot of complete boxes in mostly Very Good to Excellent shape (dare I say some of the boxes are Mint!) and I'm wondering the best approach to determine their value and to sell them. Part of the problem is that t…

Well it is with a sad heart that I have to “take a break” from the Lego investing game. My wife and I are trying to save up to buy a house and I’m going to try and sell a good amount (or all) of my collection for a down payment. If you are interested in the whole collection please message me and I’ll send you the spreadsheet with sets and quantities. I haven’t had too much experience selling lego (primarily using as an investment) so I don’t have an exact pricing break down but if you are interested in individual sets I’ll do my best to sell them cheaper then anywhere else. Current best offer locally for the whole collection is $11,000. I am accepting best offers for the …

Me and my brother were at our parents place when we found out old lego. We opened the first and then nr 2 and at last nr 3. Then I looked at him and asked what he was doing at his free time the next 3 weeks. Today it is 5ish weeks since that day and we are more or less ready with our Castle, Pirates and Western sets. At first we didn't know really what to expect and now we have decided to sell it so that our children can get their own lego experience. We have 5-8 small sets (20-50 pieces) to go but they will be ready in a day or two

Hi all, I am wanting to see if anyone has had any experience selling sets at conventions such as your local comic-con, etc.. I have a ton of older sets and for sure a lot in the $20-$60 range, along with and other notable sets, GEs, RIs, SSDs. I looked and my local is charging about $400-$600 range for a booth. I am pretty sure we can do well, but you never know till you try. But it seems like $600 is a big hole to dig out of just to break even. But I guess just a few of Haunted Houses would pay for it but not sure if large sets sell at things like this or if the smalls are king. Thoughts or tips? Thanks!

I saw a thread recently where Toywiz.com is buying Lego for resale. I logged in to my account and to my surprise, some of their prices are pretty good and considerably higher than the prices of items I picked up on clearance. If you need to offload some items quickly and don't want to hassle with EBay and PayPal fees, this may be a decent option. http://www.toywiz.com/toywizbuying.html Quick screenshot of a few items:

So I had a question as I am trying to finish getting things together for Tax season. I went through my sales and everything and calculated it up. Its a little bit lower than Paypals 1099K number. However I know this is a gross amount which doesn't take out refunds, credits, etc. for all sorts of other stuff. How does everyone add these up? Is there a section in Paypal where you can see all the categories like How much you received in Chargebacks? Or Reversals etc.?

How much will you be charged in fees? You'll find out after the sale is made. Your buyer chooses the "pay later" option... you get the convenience fee. Convenient!

Hi all. I am looking to get 1 or 2 more LightMyBricks LARGE minifigure display cases and I was wondering if anyone out there has one that they don't want. The LED's don't need to work, I just want my frames to match and I can't get another one as they're not making them anymore. Please pm me if you've got one. Thanks!

Kind of like Life Hacks, but pertaining to our beloved hobby, I thought a thread for simple but useful tricks would be cool. I'll start: Make your own mini "space saver" bags with a ziploc and a straw. Put the pieces into the bag, zip it up with the straw barely inside the bag. Then, suck all of the air out of the bag. Quickly remove the straw and zip up that last bit in the same motion. Now, you have a super-skinny airless bag that won't rattle at all when shipped.
