November 16, 20196 yr Been selling a lot on FB Marketplace locally, I noticed that after every transaction there is a prompt that asks if you sold on marketplace or elsewhere and for how much. What are the chances FB is collecting this info to report to IRS, send you a 1099 or otherwise? I usually choose the option that says "I'd rather not say" as I figure they have enough of my information [emoji38]

They are simply collecting data on everyone and everything to sell.
November 17, 20196 yr I am completely striking out on FB Marketplace. What size sets are you selling there? All I get is people asking if I'll taker $50 for a set I listed at $125I've been bundling the "losers" that I've purchased at 50-90% off RRP for 10-20% below RRP. For smaller sets I'll bundle 2-4 together and for larger sets I'll throw in a smaller set or polybag. Themed polybag bundles do well priced at $3-5 each. Staying in the $15-$60 range seems to be the sweet spot.
November 19, 20196 yr Sold my last 41172 Water Dragon for $85 . 4 x buy in and were available all day everyday at my local store. Great little investment set. Cheap to post , easy to store and returns were excellent. Wish I’d bought more than I did . Edited November 19, 20196 yr by Furious_george
November 22, 20196 yr Architecture Studio 21050 Buy in 105.99, Sold for 279.99 + Shipping on Ebay. That’s a good flip. I bought 10 or so last year ... already sold out. Should have bought 10x more #legosteve

November 27, 20196 yr I just sold a 41630 Jack Skellington & Sally BH on BrickLink for about $32. Bought it for about $15 so not a bad deal, especially since BL now belongs to our LEGO Corporate Overlords.
November 28, 20196 yr Popular Post Sold a Nexo Knights 70323 Jestro's Volcano Lair for $229. Buy-in was $2 at Barnes and Noble.

December 3, 20196 yr Popular Post 75192 UCS Falcon for $700 cash. $197 profit + $24 in Amazon Rewards points, not bad for a 2 hour hold after it was delivered this morning.

December 4, 20196 yr I sold this promotional tile handed out at the opening of the LEGO Store Amsterdam: for €30. Nice price reduction on my 1989 Batmobile!
December 6, 20196 yr Sold my wife's copy of the 75192 UCS Falcon for $650 as the local listings were starting to get plentiful and I don't want to hold this forever since it's not retiring. A much worse return than the 2 hour hold, but still good enough for me. I don't have a fancy bot, but I did have two browser windows. One tabbed town to the right button, and the other with a mouse over it. Smashed "enter" with the left hand, and clicked with the right in succession. Edited December 6, 20196 yr by brickvoyeur
