Hey guys, new to the forum and need some help with a build. I don't know if I posted in the correct place. I love Legos and I love Datsun Z's (240z/260z/280z's) and I stumbled across these pics on the internet. This MOC is pretty awesome and looks exactly like my 240z, so of course I want to build one, to go with my car. I tried building one myself but I'm def not experienced enough. I used parts from these sets which seem to have about 90% of the parts in the build. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GSPF9QG http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NHQGKBM Anyone able to help me out here? I can send you my sets for the build. This should be pret…

Picked one up for $515. It just arrives. Includes all 3 instructions. I'm also trying to figure out a way to get the box which is in below avg condition for next to peanuts. Anyway, I decided to start with the upper 3rd part. With all these dark bley elements, I'm started to go "mad". It is frak-in nuts (so many bags). ...and I thought all the white elements drive me crazy while building 10198 (Tantive IV) last week. I started grouping all the same elements together. Can't wait to sell this one. However, I need to build it for pics and make sure it is 100 % complete. The last I sold was in the box and had a few sealed bags so I never checked before selling…

Hey Everyone, I know that Technic is not the most popular to do MOCing in ..... but thought I would share my new build. Had to save up lots of 15L liftarms to accomplish this.... but finally done. I have posted all the information elsewhere, with more photos, details, etc. so I won't redo everything, and I only have so much room here. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/425498 http://youtu.be/W4DlzAeiWl0 http://youtu.be/3GnCv2T6Uxw Check it out..... little but of a read but hopefully worth it. I also re-created in Lego the exact lift that the Liebherr group did years ago on their customer appreciation …

  8. We can use this topic to share pictures and stories of "official" Lego prototypes (aka sketches) of products that were produced or not. Please cite the source if using info from other places. I discovered two sets of pictures today on eurobricks. The picture below is of a larger 1) Speeder Bike and 2) Tie Advanced model and was in a early 2000s Lego magazine. The official release of the UCS 10175 Vader Tie Advanced set debuted in 2006 / 2007. http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=10175-1 Here is another pretty famous prototype of Yavin IV that appeared in DK's Star Wars Lego: The Visual Dictionary.

  10. I was going to have the my latest build review be for the 75902 Scooby Doo Mystery Machine set. After watching my son building the set with some help from me, I decided against it (for now). Don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT little set and decent build. The only "Con" if I were to nitpick would be the inability to fit everyone (Fred, Shaggy, Velma, Daphine and Scooby) in front just like in the cartoon. After looking online, I was able to locate someone who slightly modified the van to allow more interior room for Scooby. I further enlarged the interior for more width. This was helpful and gave me ideas to further enhance the van to fit the entire gang. I estima…

  11. Hey gang, Been reading the website for about a year now, but this is my first post. Has anyone tried buying all the pieces for a Green Grocer Modular 10185 or other ModularBuilding through the missing pieces feature of the Lego LEGO Shop at Home website? A good friend of mine has used LEGO Shop at Home to buy all his pieces to build over 20 Custom Modular builidings, but he's never tried to to buy all the pieces for an entire production set. I looked today, and you can buy all but 12 of the pieces for the Green Grocer set from LEGO Shop at Home. I figure I'd use brick link to pick up the remaining few pieces. This set would be for my own personal collection, n…

Is your collection of brick separators becoming unbearable? Are you tired with getting yet another in just about every set you build? Has every effort to give them away ended in failure? Well then this Flickr group can offer some interesting alternatives in what to do with those ever-growing collections of usually useful utensils! Be inspired to make your own bizarre builds! Be amazed with the uniqueness in concepts! Be dazzled by the orange!

Hi All... I caught the Lego bug after my 6 year old spotted a Star Destroyer on sale at Target about 8 months ago that he thought was "really cool". Anyways that was the beginning of the end and I've unfortunately lost most of my self control and now have a house full of Legos, quite a few sealed sets in the basement, and probably a couple hundred pounds or more of assorted random legos partially organized lol. In the interim I've Bricklinked a 10179 and am now working my way through a Death Star II (also brinklinked). I'm now trying to get a bit more serious about organizing everything to cut down on the endless searching so on to my question... Have any of you put t…

For all the years of building and taking apart LEGO I've never owned or even used a brick seperator. Am I the only one? I'm sure it comes in handy for those flat plates but I've always managed to get by.

  15. I don’t really recall if anyone may have wanted to know how to build the San Diego Comic-Con The Ghost Starship exclusive mini-build but here goes anyway. Big credit goes to BrickTsar on YouTube for making a full video review with real good zoomed in shots of the parts list and a time lapse build slower than the previous Batmobile one. There was a few neat techniques and just a couple limited pieces which are the ice cream cone in black and the printed dome piece but everything else should be relatively BrickLinkable. I had to omit the astromech Chopper due to his torso and legs not being available in LDD. Be sure to click on each image if you need it enlarged same as b…

  16. Started by Grolim,

After setting up my Kwik-E-Mart and Simpsons house for display I decided I wanted to do something to display the 2 series of Simpsons CMF alongside them. This kind of design could be used for any set of CMF really as the 16 figs display on each section in front of the poly bag. Here's some shots: The 2 sections are hinged together and can be separated to display on different angles like this: Each figure sits on a 1x2 plate, so they stay put nicely. Nothing too difficult in the build, I stuffed around with different ways for attaching the CMF bag backgrounds and in the end decided to simply have the 4 edges jammed between 1 stud depth bricks. It'…

  20. So I'm interested to see if anybody is brave enough to divulge their weirdest building habits/rituals to the community. I was building the Fire Brigade this morning when I got to thinking about this. For me, I make sure all of the brick studs with the tiny word "LEGO" molded onto it are facing the same way. I absolutely hate when the words are all jumbled together! So all bricks that go East/West I aim to the right, and North/South bricks I aim to the top of the base plates. Another weird habit of mine is that I spend an estimated 2-3 extra hours on any given set making sure all 1x1 tiles, studs, and bricks are perfectly lined up with the bricks below and above them. I…

So i currently own every modular building, once i pick up the Parisian Restaurant that would make 9 total, plus i have plans to make 2-3 MOC buildings and a park. Im trying to figure out how to arrange/display that many buildings. if i do it linear with a street in front of the buildings that almost 9 feet, roughly the whole wall of my basement lol. if i put buildings on both sides of the road i maximize use of the road (custom built 1x2 tile road to look like a stone road) What do you all recommend? anyone have any good pictures of a large modular display?

In a small apartment our count is up to 63 (17 mini scaled like the SW planet ships). With four winter themed coming down soon. They're everywhere except the kitchen and bathroom (loo for the brits). We definitely have a problem just wondering others level of displays?
