I am kind of interested. I know this is an investing site so there will be more people who bought one to resell than to build - but I want to see the skew. Who specifically bought one to build and did just that?

So I recently acquired a used 7150 TIE Fighter & Y-Wing set, and was putting them together to figure out what pieces were missing. While I was putting together the TIE, I came across a funny looking piece... Knowing my LEGO bricks, I knew that this one had to be a mistake. I won't be sending this one back to LEGO, as it is obviously a very rare occassion, but I'm curious if this has ever happened to anyone else. My guess is that the plastic injector ran out of plastic, so the mold wasn't completely filled. Enjoy the pictures!! (Anyone notice my play with the title? EuroBricks, Error Bricks? Haha.)

I am slowly building my own City in a spare room I have. I was contemplating putting in real water in certain places for boats, fountains, pools, etc. Does anyone know if being in water long-term does any damage to Lego pieces? (Btw I would only use bottled water)

i don't know the seller (out of Poland) but do know when building 10179, this element can get expensive and is often needed. Seller has 10 available. feedback looks "ok". it seems they have been selling 10179 elements since last nov. does the radar dish look "legit" ? i don't have 10179 so i'm no help. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Star-Wars-Millennium-Falcon-10179-part-/121159751532?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item1c35af176c they sell for much more on bricklink. http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=76248&colorID=86 here is what the actual item in ebat looks like.

Alright so I just got a couple of bins that include 10 Star Wars sets assumed to be complete. What is the best way to sort them? I have never done it before. Sort them by color all at once, then try to put them together? Just build them one by one out of the bin? Try to sort the obvious pieces first and then just sort them set by set? I am a bit lost. lol.

Hey guys and gals I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience in building a stadium? Honestly I'm really not sure where to begin. Not even sure how big I would like it. I'm thinking similar to a modular in relation to approximate size and brick number. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Lego fan builds world's longest toy train circuit out of 93,000 bricks - and it takes more than three hours to go round http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2364154/Lego-fan-builds-worlds-longest-toy-train-circuit-93-000-bricks.html I am personally not a fan. I want a townscape...some buildings etc. I guess it's kinda cool b/c that thing is HUGE but, that just does not look fun to me.

Decided to make a little challenge for myself, wanted to make a Lego Bonsai having seen some very impressive MOC's, saw that 79002 was discounted and though "oo thats got a lot of leaves and brown bits" the other set that I looked at as a possible one to try it with was 9436 The Werewolf but thought it was a little low on the brick count and didn't have much "rock" so I guess I'm throwing it out to anyone else that fancies a single set challenge, Either 79002 or 9436. Build a bonsai tree and show it off. I've been working on one but I'm still not happy with it, looks too much like a bunch of bricks still.. I'll need to redesign

So today, July 25th, is my mom's birthday. She knew I was going to get her something LEGO related and had originally wanted the Cinema Palace since I'm in college for Film. However, she hasn't built a LEGO set since I was about 4 or 5 years old. I thought a 2000 some piece count would be slightly too advanced for her right now, but I still wanted to get her a larger set. So, since today is Christmas in July I decided to play up that aspect hardcore. First I wrapped the set: Then I gave it to her: Her reaction was great, haha: I think she is going to have a blast building this set. I would normally build a set th…

Hey folks! I have a big box of white/pink/red bricks and another big box of white/red/pink plates. I reckon I have enough here to take on building any of the released modular sets so far. Given that I can download the instructions from somewhere, which do you think will: 1) Look decent in those colours? 2) Be buildable mostly with standard bricks? I had green grocer in mind initally, but it will be a sweet/candy shop instead. I do have a lot of other brick parts, so reckon I will have enough to do any of them, but maybe not in the right colours.

Has anyone remade market street by buying the pieces and using the online instructions? Its 1200 some odd pieces just wanted to know what was the ballpark price you paid for the pieces? How many different places did you go to buy the pieces? How hard was it to find the pieces? This would be my first time doing this. The original is just too costly and you could add your own twist of color to it. Any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your help and input.

My soon to be 6 year old really want the Pet Shop modular for his upcoming birthday. He is very good at building by himself and can follow instructions. He doesn't have any big or hard sets yet. Log cabin, and Hagrid's Hut is the extent of it right now. I'm wondering if the Pet Shop will be too difficult for him and cause frustration. I'm leaning towards a couple of medium sets instead like the fire or police station. There's obviously part of me that really want the Pet Shop so I can build it with him : ) Does anyone have personal experience with younger kids building the modulars by themselves? Thanks

I finally finished my build of the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon yesterday. Such an Epic build! I highly recommend it to anyone out there to give this thing a go at least once if you get the opportunity. I have built plenty of large sets before including at least half a dozen UCS sets but nothing compared to this. As I was building it I really got the sense that the designers went all out and no expense was spared in creating it. All the little greebling parts were not skimped on at all and the rigid internal frame was superbly engineered to hold the large weight of the model. It took me many many hours, perhaps 50+ working off an on over the last 6 wee…

As some of you know, I'm attending college as a Film Production major concentrating in Production Design (set design). I have never attempted to build a large scale MOC before, but I am extremely interested in creating a MASSIVE Hollywood Studio Backlot MOC. The scene would be made up of various buildings, lots, and vehicles. I feel that creating this MOC will allow me to directly incorporate a lot of the awesome licensed sets threw depicting the "filming" of the movies. And because I am a Production Design major, I am very particular about the look and feel of things I create, so it is going to be authentic and over the top. I was wondering if any of you could poi…

I am going to get the 10240 X-Wing Fighter soon and I am just wondering if any of the Brick Picker members have built the 10240? Was it fun? Was there anything challenging about the set that I should know about?
