Who knew LEGO's Microfighters 'chibi' style would have inspired a new breed of builds? (Or how about this CUUSOO submission from a year before LEGO unleased the Star Wars Microfighters upon the world.)

Last week the news was all abuzz regarding the new star wars toys. That got the new movie on my mind and all the wonderful ships in the show. Thought I would do a little rendition of a ship that is little recognized, but one of my favorites nonetheless. See more pics and information at http://mocpages.com/moc.php/419160

You can have the article translated automatically via Google Chrome, but basically it says that 16 yrs old built within a year this MF. Its 163 by 118 cm, consists of 70.000 pieces and what is most interesting.. the kid concluded that the price of all the bricks was just cca 300 USD more than the original UCS version.. unbelievable.. https://www.idnes.cz/jihlava/zpravy/lego-millennium-falcon-stavebnice-hvezdne-valky-pelhrimov-rekord-kuriozita-mezina-vysocina-radek-pop.A191211_084929_jihlava-zpravy_mv

I know I've seen this somewhere before, but I can't think where, so I turn to you guys for help. The kids and I have been making sure we've got one complete set of minifigs from each series, for the last year or two. I don't like just displaying them on their stands - that's boring. Instead, I'd rather get them into little dioramas, or habitats. Nothing big - like maybe 8x8 or 10x10. But something just big enough to make a small scene of our minifigure in their natural habitat. So, for example, the Lifeguard might sit on a tall chair, with a sandy beach under him/her. Or the Rock Star might look like he's on stage. The King could be on a thrown, or the O…

After setting up my Kwik-E-Mart and Simpsons house for display I decided I wanted to do something to display the 2 series of Simpsons CMF alongside them. This kind of design could be used for any set of CMF really as the 16 figs display on each section in front of the poly bag. Here's some shots: The 2 sections are hinged together and can be separated to display on different angles like this: Each figure sits on a 1x2 plate, so they stay put nicely. Nothing too difficult in the build, I stuffed around with different ways for attaching the CMF bag backgrounds and in the end decided to simply have the 4 edges jammed between 1 stud depth bricks. It'…

Just got my pirate ship ambush from walmart.com and when I opened it up there were no minifigures inside whatsoever. The box was minty and sealed, and all the bags were sealed but somehow this happened. Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do?

I downloaded LDD and I am trying to design my first MOC. I am just curious what scale you use. I would like the scale to match with mini figures and to seem realistic. What scale do you use? For example, how many studs = 1 foot long? How many rows of bricks = 1 foot high? Thanks in advance!

A few years ago I picked up video games again and, while catching up, a couple of my favorites (Uncharted 2 & Far Cry 4) took place in South Asia. It inspired me to create a couple of smaller vehicles, which in turn led me to creating this entire project: Here's the full flickr gallery if you want to see more - as well as the link to the project in Ideas, if you're interested in adding your support: https://www.flickr.com/photos/142667034@N04/with/49940857112/ https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f9009263-d502-4284-a0e7-be215d19972a

I really like the sdcc version of the classic style batmobile but won't pay those prices and can't find the instructions yet. So that leaves me to using the LDD to figure it out and parting it through bricklink. Has anyone tried to recreate this? I'm stuck on the back end due to lack of pictures. And on the front bumper how the two center pieces http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3049 connect so closely. If anyone has found pics of the back end the link would be appreciated.

I was going to have the my latest build review be for the 75902 Scooby Doo Mystery Machine set. After watching my son building the set with some help from me, I decided against it (for now). Don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT little set and decent build. The only "Con" if I were to nitpick would be the inability to fit everyone (Fred, Shaggy, Velma, Daphine and Scooby) in front just like in the cartoon. After looking online, I was able to locate someone who slightly modified the van to allow more interior room for Scooby. I further enlarged the interior for more width. This was helpful and gave me ideas to further enhance the van to fit the entire gang. I estima…

Anyone with the 10247 Ferris Wheel - I'd like to modify this build so that the "wheel" portion of the Ferris Wheel can be freed of the set and roll by itself. Can this be done? Seems like it would involve moving the seat gondolas closer to the middle of the wheel to start with...

So i currently own every modular building, once i pick up the Parisian Restaurant that would make 9 total, plus i have plans to make 2-3 MOC buildings and a park. Im trying to figure out how to arrange/display that many buildings. if i do it linear with a street in front of the buildings that almost 9 feet, roughly the whole wall of my basement lol. if i put buildings on both sides of the road i maximize use of the road (custom built 1x2 tile road to look like a stone road) What do you all recommend? anyone have any good pictures of a large modular display?

Started looking around at what's out there. The best thing I could find were both IKEA solutions. Either a series of LACK coffee tables (about $80 / 4x8 space) or a build-your-own table using: 1x http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00251135/ 4x http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90217972/ I like the table better because it will be higher. Each one is about 2x4 and runs $20 a table, so about the same price as 8 LACKs. The other option seems to be plywood and folding legs, which runs about 70$ a table and requires sanding, sealing, and painting. For $10 I'll go the IKEA route. I think I will start with 4 tables and expand from there.…

Anyone purchased the pdf/instructions to bricklink Chilli's? And how much did it all cost to complete? My wife loves the design and would like to add it to our small collection. Do we have any builders here that sold their work/custom designs?

Hi guys, Earlier this year my wife and I "completed" our journey out of the dark ages (thanks again to this community for making that possible for a -relatively- reasonable amount). Having acquired all of the retired sets we wanted (within reason, sorry UCS Falcon and Grand Carousel), my wife mused that our city needed a zoo. I agreed, so I decided to make one. I posted a MOC a few months ago but this is my first end-to-end, all the bells and whistles effort at something special. It took about 10-12 weeks. I built it and my wife provided constant feedback, answering "what do you think of this?" and "how does this look?" over and over hahah. I also received input…
